Benson's "shape" is still being debated so I wanted to post what Hub Arkush said on the SCORE on last Sunday the night. Last year I tried a mock where everyone agreed. Likes/Dislikes were laid out until we got something everyone could accept. i gave not only this draft a D+ but angelo's history of drafting in chicago as a GM a D as a whole. here is the one of the biggest problems our franchise faces... short sightedness. if the qb's you have a chance to draft project as being starters you make the pick even if you have a franchise qb on the team (which we don't). you don't want perrenial backups drafted EVER! you groom them to be #1's. this gives you leverage in actually having valuable players you can trade in the future if it warrants or at the least a future starter/star if your qb goes down. it doesn't mean jack if he is going to push the guys ahead of him. that is what you WANT. this now leaves …

Is it any better than last year? 38% of Cutler's pass attempts to Marshall. Only thing missing is he did not force one to Brandon that resulted in a INT. Its almost that time of year again so I figured I would start gauging interest for fantasy football. We have our Talkbears keeper league with I believe 9 returning and 1 spot available. I want to get confirmation from everyone in the league before we let new people join. We will also have free leagues for anyone wishing to play. I'm excited to see what the kid has. Sometimes it takes a few years for a QB to develop, maybe after a few years on the bench he evolved. I just hope he doesn't get hurt with Ola, Groy, and Garza in the middle.

Brings everyone around him down with negativity

Daniels was the best QB in college last year. He played in a pro style offense and is a great running option . I'm not sure who has the most upside on the QBs but he is the most ready to start in the NFL. Caleb is always popping out of the pocket and playing hero ball. Holds the ball to long. Didn't play as well against better opponents. Daniels was in the SEC. I'm going to keep looking at tape to,see who stands out more than the other.

Cutler is on a current run of solid play that is longer than any other time in his career. Everyone always talks to Cutler's inconsistency or the Good Jay Bad Jay, etc. Looking over his Game Logs, you can see that was indeed the case for most of his early career. However, it looks like we have entered a new era and the sample size is large enough to believe it will continue. Starting in the Arizona game, he now has 6 straight games with a QB Rating above 88, and even excluding the partial game, he has 5 straight games with a QB Rating of 88.4 or higher. Looking back at his Game Logs, the closest run was 6 games to start 2014 where he was 82.5 or higher. Before that …

A 9-3 team is playing at a 4-8 team and is only favored by 3? A 5-win disparity and only a 3 point line is pretty interesting. Vegas really thinks this game is going to be close. The Bears couldn't win with a +3 turnover margin and double the TOP, so if they want to win this game they more than likely are going to have to do it without that large of a turnover margin and TOP. DET ended up with more total yards, 8-11 on 3rd Downs, a 5.7 yards per play, so they were way more efficient. Montgomery can't average 6.3 yards a carry and they need to shutdown St. Brown. We have the edge in every offensive category except rushing yards per game. STL is horrible at 3rd Downs, which is our weakness on defense. This would be a great game to clean that up. On the defensive side, they have the edge in every category, though I was surprised at how close we were against the pass and in total yards. I would love to see Langford split out wide from the backfield to get some mismatches against LB's. He just outdueled Gordon, now let's do it to Gurley. Bears 20 - Rams 16
