Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. 1. Started by Uncle Buck,

Is it any better than last year? 38% of Cutler's pass attempts to Marshall. Only thing missing is he did not force one to Brandon that resulted in a INT. I am far from disappointed what with one half of football, but I hope the second half produces differently for the offense. Cincy's defense is good, so credit to them but, wow underwhelming 1st half offense.

  3. Hi folks It seems I created a bit of controversy a few days back when I moved one of the threads over to the NFL forum. As far as I was concerned, it was a signing by the Titans, it had nothing to do with the Bears, the Bears had never been rumored to be interested in the guy, and there was no reason for it to be in the Bears forum. From what I can gather, some of the people from one of the 2 sites we merged aren't used to the multiple-forum style that we've been using at TalkBears and at Soxtalk for a while, where we try to keep some sort of dividing line between the forums with posts flowing in both of them. After the complaints, I checked with some of t…

Wasn’t sure where else to put this so I started one. Probably means we’ll see more of Sanborn(?). Think they’ll add anyone else, anywhere?

I'm excited to see what the kid has. Sometimes it takes a few years for a QB to develop, maybe after a few years on the bench he evolved. I just hope he doesn't get hurt with Ola, Groy, and Garza in the middle.

I know Vrabel is still in the discussion, but it seems like these 3 guys would be the leading candidates as Offensive Options at HC: 1. Ben Johnson - DET is 3rd in EPA/Play, 1st in TDs, 2nd in YPG, best OLine in NFL, Goff 4th in TD Passes, 2nd in Passing Yards 2. Joe Brady - BUF is 2nd in EPA/Play, 2nd in TDs, 8th in YPG, Allen is an alien 3. Liam Coen - TB is 6th in EPA/Play, 5th in TDs, 3rd in YPG, Mayfield 3rd in TD Passes, 4th in Passing Yards It is really hard to strip away some of the artificial things that would not carry over to the Bears, if one of these guys came over. Obviously the first thing that stands out is the DET's OLine, Ben Johnson would …

Its almost that time of year again so I figured I would start gauging interest for fantasy football. We have our Talkbears keeper league with I believe 9 returning and 1 spot available. I want to get confirmation from everyone in the league before we let new people join. We will also have free leagues for anyone wishing to play. So if you are interested in playing this year please post in this thread and we will see what kind of interest we have and how many leagues we will need.

Cutler is on a current run of solid play that is longer than any other time in his career. Everyone always talks to Cutler's inconsistency or the Good Jay Bad Jay, etc. Looking over his Game Logs, you can see that was indeed the case for most of his early career. However, it looks like we have entered a new era and the sample size is large enough to believe it will continue. Starting in the Arizona game, he now has 6 straight games with a QB Rating above 88, and even excluding the partial game, he has 5 straight games with a QB Rating of 88.4 or higher. Looking back at his Game Logs, the closest run was 6 games to start 2014 where he was 82.5 or higher. Before that …

  14. Permalink 9 Comments Back to Top Devin Hester wants to return to returning Posted by Josh Alper on February 4, 2010 1:29 PM ET It's been more than two years since we've seen Devin Hester break a kick return for a touchdown, but if the Bears receiver has his way we could see him get back on the horse in 2010. Hester was a guest on "The Waddle and Silvy Show" on ESPN Radio in Chicago Thursday and told the hosts that while he was happy to do whatever the coaching staff asked of him, he'd like to resume his role as the team's lead kickoff returner. "I know what I'm best at," Hester said. "The return game is my bread and butter, so if I had to cut back on my…

  16. Evidently they already have some offers but are working hard to maximize and get more in return. I've said it before and I'll say again, he'll be gone and we'll get more than we expected for him. There is zero QB market out there and it is a weaker QB draft (that said, Its all a freaking crapshoot anyway when it comes to QB's, imo).

We have the edge in every offensive category except rushing yards per game. STL is horrible at 3rd Downs, which is our weakness on defense. This would be a great game to clean that up. On the defensive side, they have the edge in every category, though I was surprised at how close we were against the pass and in total yards. I would love to see Langford split out wide from the backfield to get some mismatches against LB's. He just outdueled Gordon, now let's do it to Gurley. Bears 20 - Rams 16

  18. Started by Mongo3451,

2022 is going to be a major transitional year for the team. We will part ways with close to half of the team. Something else to make the off season interesting is that we'll have to, once again, rely on free agency to field a team. Of course, let's start with the offense. Mooney is the only receiver on the 53 man roster under contract for next year. My thoughts are to draft this position as high as possible. This player must be a true number 1. I'm also good with a solid possession receiver via FA. Running back is stacked, so no need to address. For TE, we have Kmet and Horsted. I would like to re sign James. At OL, we should beg Peters to play one more yea…

Some great numbers from Jay against some great defenses this year: - 27 more yards from his all-time high as a Bear, 360 from 4,000 yards - 66.1 Completion %, career high - 28 TD's, career high - 18 INTs, still 8 less than career high - 89.5 QB Rating, career high - 27 Turnovers, 3 less than career high

I know it has been awhile for me to post, But I have a perdicament that is bothering me. At the end of last season Orton was Qb'ing the Bears, He was 2-1 as starter and the team averaged well over 25 points game. To me the team played a lot better with him in then both Rex and griese combined. Here I been reading almost all the posts of the upcomming season and most have Rex ahead Orton. Is there something you guys read somewhere or what?
