I heard the bears are converting D. Hall to safety. That tells me , we may be drafting the top CB with one of our first two picks.

What's the best, most realistic trade you can see for the Bears? The requirements pretty much have to be: 1. Trade value similarity 2. A team that might make a huge move because of extra picks 3. A team that might take a huge gamble 4. A move up to get a player that is unlikely to fall I have been looking at this for a while, trying to crunch numbers, and I finally found one that I think is very intriguing. Chicago trades 1.3 (2200) Cleveland trades 1.12 (1200), 2.33 (580), 2.52 (380) 1. 2200 & 2160 2. Cleveland is in rare position to energize their franchise. Two first rounders and ten picks overall. 3. Cleveland is not known for …

  4. First of all, the Bears staff knows more about the health of Kevin White than anyone else. So I'll hope for now he's healthy. If so, the Bears suddenly have turned a position of question into a position of perceived strength. -White (6'3", 216lbs) will be presumably be the split end (X). He's big enough and fast enough to shake off press coverage from the line. He's also the most athletic, and the guy who likely gets the one on one ball when Glennon is under fire. -Wright (5'10, 191lbs) seems perfectly suited for the slot (Y). When he was under Loggains in TN, he worked slot and put up 94 catches for over 1000 yards. That likely gives him the leg up in the…

Assuming the Bears don't trade down ( ), the recent FA pickups seem to have gleaned some light on the situation. Right now only a few possible positions make sense (in no particular order): 1. QB 2. DE 3. S 4. CB Quarterback With Glennon on board for the amount of money he got, there is no way the Bears spend a #3 pick a QB to ride the pine. Similarly, they wouldn't have paid Glennon that much, even if it does amount to a one year contract, to sit behind a rookie, first-rounder. Cornerback The money they just shelled out for Cooper and Amukamara means there is no way they are going for a CB with the forth pick. The contract given to Cooper indica…

Lots of positions have been addressed, but very few problems have been solved, IMO. I'm interested to see how other people think we should attack the draft, besides of course a BPA approach, but here's what I think I would do: **Trade #3 to Browns for #12, #33, #108 (4th round), #187 (6th round) and a future 3rd. The Browns are trying to recreate the Cowboys - they've spent the offseason beefing up their O-line, now they need their Zeke, but have to get ahead of the Jaguars and Jets to get Fournette, so they do. 1) OJ Howard, TE, Alabama - Given Glennon the help he needs part 1. I balk at this a bit because I know this is a deep TE draft, but he's obviously t…

No one wants Cutler. So sign him to the minimum and have him be the no. 2, after we draft the future, of course. Weird, hey, the Twighlite Zone exits!!!

1 QB......signed Glennon...........still can draft one 2. OL.....signed Compton..........signed as a back up to push maybe one of our LT/RT 3. WR.....signed Wright/Wheaton/......lost Jefferies....lost height but gained speed 4. TE.......signed Sims.......blocking big man that can catch 5. S........signed veteran Mr. Demps......older but brings leadership 6. CB......signed the Prince and Hanging with MR. Cooper......the upgrade! 7. ST......re-signed Banks and Jones......for depth 8. Who is next, ....or shall I say who else do we need before we draft? I think if we signed Patterson as the Hester experiment replacement then we are done in FA.

A couple of thoughts came to mind on the roster Does anybody think that is Grasu is up to par, his upside would put him back at C and move Whitehair out to LT? They are almost the exact same size , Leno's arms are 1 and 1/2 inches longer but I think Cody could absolutely handle the spot.

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/2016/ Here is the list of contracts from last year. If we look at all the contracts over 7 mil per year average how many were successful? the list has 17 over 7 mil of those you would only consider 5 to be over whelming successful Vernon/DE Mack/OC Harrison/DT OsemeleOG Jenkins/CB another 3 you would say was worth it Brooks/OG McLeod/FS Irvin/OLB out of 17 50% stuck out out of our free agents Freeman - huge success Trevathan- jury still out Hicks- huge success Si…

Now the oldest player on the Bears roster at 32, with only 7 players 30 and older. Porter and Royal are two of them and potential cuts this offseason. The only free agent we brought in this year over 30 was Demps.

I found this short article interesting on ESPN.com. I am like most of you, a little nervous about the signing but trying to think positive. I think attitude and intangibles can be extremely important to the success of a player. This excerpt from the article mentioned is what I found encouraging:
