Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. So here we are, Week 3, with one undefeated team and one winless team. Even with that, the 0-2 Falcons start as 3.5 favorites against the 2-0 Bears. That just shows the lack of confidence in the Bears right now. Who knows which Falcons team or Bears team will show up this week. The Bears have now held on to barely beat bad football teams with a ton of injuries. It feels like this is the first true test for the Bears. The Falcons have faced the Seahawks and Cowboys, two really good teams, and the Falcons offense has put up a ton of points, but their defense looks bad. So it is underwhelming Bears offense vs bad Falcons defense against and solid Bears defense vs e…

I don't think we'll target Faneca. It's tough to justify paying him that much more then we'll pay Olin Kreutz. If we go for a quality starter at a normal price, I think we'll look to sign either Rex Hadnot of Miami, Jake Scott of Indianapolis, Jacob Bell of Tennessee, Justin Smiley of San Francisco, Floyd Womack of Seattle, Jamar Nesbit of New Orleans, or Damien Woody of Detroit. Free-agent C, OG and OT classes are deep in '08 By Scouts Inc. (Archive) Updated: February 20, 2008 Comment Email Print The free-agent market opens Feb. 29. Hard game to pick, I don't like either team but my logical side wants to pick Seattle 24-20, but my gut is telling me NE 27-17. What do you think? Also, with the news about the Lynch extension, do you think Seattle can extend Lynch, make Wilson the highest paid QB, extend and give a raise to Wagner, and somehow resign Maxwell? To me Maxwell seems like the odd one out.

After the Bennett trade, and after the rookie pool, and including the ridiculous Alshon Jeffrey cap his, we STILL have 15 million to spend. The Bears have been good about spending the maximum amount. We typically annually do some roll-over where we have 5 million extra to spend each year. We have 15 million to spend and I can't think of a single notable free agent we need to worry about resining next year. How the hell are we going to spend 15 million?

Chicago It seemed that the bears were content to run a small set of plays to build on field chemistry. I didn't notice a lot of two tight end sets or Olsen in the slot or lined up on the outside. I mention these because I see those two sets doing well against Green Bay on Sunday. Green Bay Going to a 3/4 defense is tough having run something different the year before. First: New personel to fit the defense means decrease in team chemistry. This helps our running game due to the changes in the middle. I know Raji looked decent in the preseason but I like our chances up the middle. Perfect time to play green bay in green bay is the first game of the yea…

  7. At the beginning of the second round, the Bears told Ohio safety Michael Mitchell to stay by his phone because they planned to draft him at No. 49. But the Raiders beat them to it, taking Mitchell two spots earlier. "When [the Bears] did that, I was like, 'I'm going to be a Chicago Bear,' " Mitchell told the Raiders media during a teleconference. "That's what I was thinking." That's what the Bears were thinking, too, until Oakland raided their second-round cupboard http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4716296.column Wow. Everyone was killing this pick when it was the Raiders. It will be interesting to see how he pans out.

What if the coaches said, as others here have, that there is a decent amount of young talent on the team? That they just need good coaching? Suppose they think Paea will be stout enough for the NT spot, and the combo of Young, Sutton, Ferguson, Allen, etc. is enough for the DL? Suppose they think SMC is great at his natural position, and Bostic/Greene are perfect for the other two holes in the 3-4, with Briggs filling the last spot? They realize the need at FS, but like the scondary otherwise...and dislike small school safeties. I present you with the anti-Lovie draft, where they eschew the weakness and supplement the strength. 1. Trade back and get Landon …

I've done a ton of mocks on fanspeak and I've come up with a very common scenario many times: #11 kind of stinks for our needs. Tunsil & Stanley are gone. Buckner is gone. Jack is gone. The Bears are left with Elliott, Treadwell, Goff, and two DT/DE guys that may not fit (Robinson, Rankins). So what do they do? I hate the idea of Elliott. I also hate the idea of a 1st round QB. If someone were opposed to the DTs, then Treadwell may be the pick. The only other option that I really like is Conklin. I'm not sure if Conklin is worthy of such a high pick. I sure hope it doesn't play out that way. But if it does, would you be upset …

It seems silly for this to take this long to sign a contract when the pricing is already determined, but I suspect the last year of the deal can delay the end when they may not agree on the option 5th year. Well now on to the pud Jeffery for the final piece of the puzzle to be finished. He is making almost 15 mil and that isnt good enough for a place to start, I just dont get it.

In the NFC, only one division essentially up for grabs. PHI, MIN, SF are already in with DAL as the WC1. NFC South 1. TB 7-8 (CAR, ATL) wins out or wins 1 and CAR and NO lose 1 each. 2. CAR 6-9 (TB, @NO) needs to win out 3. NO 6-9 (@PHI, CAR) needs to win out and have TB lose 2 Week 17 TB vs CAR is basically for the Division title. If CAR wins, they have the tie breaker against TB and NO. NFC Wild Card 2. NYG 8-6-1 (IND, @PHI) - needs to win of 1 of 2 to get in. 3.
