Jeff Garcia still wants to be in the NFL. Todd Collins doesn't deserve to be in the NFL. This seems like an amazingly easy decision.

  4. Here's what he has to say about WSCR's Mike North (I'm really pissed about the fact I can't listen to the SCORE in the morning's because of the braying jackass.) From http://www.suntimes.com/sports/mariotti/78...i020908.article Another problem is allowing sports hosts with low IQs to pontificate about social issues. For years, WSCR's Mike North has embarrassed his hometown by forcing his views on race, religion and current events when, in truth, he's just a goof who was pulled out of a hot-dog stand 15 years ago. North has a hard enough time putting together a sports argument, much less breaking down Hillary vs. Obama. But there he was, mimicking and mocking brain-da…

Was checking out another website and caught a glimpse of an interesting topic of discussion. With the possibility of C. Johnson (Tennessee) entering the trade market, should the Bears consider loooking at it with Forte as their "bait"? My vote is NO as I am a fan of Forte's and like his long term value. I see Johnson similar to A. Peterson (Vikings one) where he is a different style runner that will probably hit a wall soon. I don't see Peterson lasting a lot longer...at his pace. Forte on the other hand has not only been, injury free, but improved himself this year physically. And he has other intangibles (receiver out of the backfield) that are good to have.…

I have been waiting to hear news of what is going on with this alleged incident since the news first broke after the trade. The last I heard the police do not seem to be investigating this issue, almost as if they feel it is a false allegation. I had also heard the complainant seems to be reluctant to talk to authorities. Has this been dismissed, or is it still a time bomb ready to explode with the Commish holding the dead-man switch?

NFL Power Rankings, Week 2 1 Last Week: 3 Dallas Cowboys (1-0) Yes, they displaced the Patriots. Fair's fair, and Dallas' methodical dismantling of the Browns was most impressive. I started putting a stopwatch on the time Tony Romo was given to pass. Many clockings of 3.0 or better, and a couple of 4's. Most impressive. 2 Last Week: 1 New England Patriots (1-0) Well, after all, they did win. At a terrible price. How did losing Tom Brady affect the Vegas odds on winning the Super Bowl? "There never has been an injury that's had such a dramatic effect on the odds," said Bodog's Sportsbook manager, Richard Gardner. Bodog, one of the major price sett…

We only have two drafts to judge by but what we do know. He sees the same team we do and has addressed weaknesses. Grant you, bad miss on the first year , kudos to last year's first round draft. He like athletes. So the next guy will be all of that. He addressed WR and TE bringing us Marshall and Bennett, and drafting Jeffery, so I think he attacks the fixing of the defense the same way. First round grades on defensive players. I used Rob Rangs big board from NFL Draft Scout for this scenario. 1-Clowney/DE 4-Mack/OLB 7-Barr/OLB 9-Mosley/ILB 11-Denard/CB 14-Tuitt/DE 19-Ford/DE-OLB 21-Gilbert/CB 22-Hageman/DE 23-Jernigan/DT 24-Shazi…

So I’m perusing multiple media site; the growing sentiment is that this season is strictly about Fields’ development. Article upon article mainly focusing on his week to week growth. I’m starting to feel like the narrative is that a losing season is acceptable as long as Justin develops. I’m not sure this sits well with me. Pace and Nagy should be held for the collective performance.Nagy on delivery of yet another lower third offense, not acceptable if you are hired with a background on that side of the ball. Pace for continuing to ignore the trenches, which is the foundation for winning programs. I fear George is going to buy this storyline and just chalk the season up t…

With Cutler, will Bears dig long ball? Turner will have more freedom to open up playbook Dan Pompei | On the NFL May 19, 2009 The joke goes when Jay Cutler showed up at Halas Hall after his trade from Denver, nobody knew who he was. See, none of us in Chicago recognizes what a real quarterback looks like. The next issue is if anyone in Chicago will know what to do with one. Other than buy him a beer, of course. Bears coach Lovie Smith and offensive coordinator Ron Turner never have worked with a talent like Cutler, but they believe they know how to use him. Yes, there is still a chance. It is basically win out or nothing. The Bears have to leapfrog 5 of these 6 teams: SEA, MIN, GB, LAR, NO, TB. Based on projections, all of them could finish 8-9. So if the Bears finished 8-9, they would have to win a bunch of tiebreakers with 5 of those teams which is extremely unlikely. So chances of making the playoffs going 4-1 and finishing 8-9 are probably around 10% (if that one loss is to CLE). Now if the win out and finish 9-8, there is probably a 75% chance they make the playoffs. ATL is currently a division leader and plays TB, CHI, and NO from the in the hunt teams. If Bears win out, they are beating ATL which would g…

Check out this article link: Will James be back in 2008? Pure speculation, but if for cap reasons the Cards let James go, would the Bears be a contender for his services? Personally, I think the Cards will find a way to keep him, but he sure would look nice as our starter!!
