1. Corey Wootton looked great. I would not be shocked if he has 10+ sacks this year. 2. Henry Melton looked great as well. 3. J'Marcus Webb is horrible. On the first 4 non-run plays in the 11-on-11 drills, he gave up 3 sacks. Like bowlingtwig said, this has to become a competition. Scott did fairly well last year. 4. Kyle Long is a freak. He's strong and exceptionally quick. Now the question is, can he block consistently? That wasn't the issue today, but it remains a question due to how raw he truly is still. 5. Cedric Benson told reporters he would have 1,800 yards right now if he was running through the holes that Matt Forte has been running through in Chicago. He has a better chance at 1,800 DWIs. Wherever he goes, the holes seem to close much more quickly. Using his career 3.6 yards per carry, it would take the delusional Benson exactly 500 carries to reach his lofty projections.

I think we are in for a shootout our offense wont be able to keep up with. Honestly was any reciever ever open other than Olsen? Cutler moved around and was able to connect with the ever smothered Earl Bennett and Hester wasnt much better. Can these guys stay on their feet when they catch a ball? I look at all the moves the Bears make and shake my head. Nothing spetacular, but at least they have did something and arent done yet. I think they had a good draft, if they get Kueutz back will be an ok FAgency. The thing I need to realize is WITH a bad offensive line, poor WRs, and a sprint to put able bodies in the secondary, they still made it to the NFC title game. I have to say I need to be a little more positive about their stupidity.

I've done a ton of mocks on fanspeak and I've come up with a very common scenario many times: #11 kind of stinks for our needs. Tunsil & Stanley are gone. Buckner is gone. Jack is gone. The Bears are left with Elliott, Treadwell, Goff, and two DT/DE guys that may not fit (Robinson, Rankins). So what do they do? I hate the idea of Elliott. I also hate the idea of a 1st round QB. If someone were opposed to the DTs, then Treadwell may be the pick. The only other option that I really like is Conklin. I'm not sure if Conklin is worthy of such a high pick. I sure hope it doesn't play out that way. But if it does, would you be upset …

The Chicago Bears Sunday waived 14 players, including Devin Aromashodu and Tom Zbikowski. The roster now stands at 76 active players. Here are the players waived: Wide receiver Devin Aromashodu, running back Curtis Brinkley, defensive tackle Eric Foster, tackle A.J. Lindeman, center P.J. Lonergan, safety Derrick Martin, defensive end Kyle Moore, tight end Gabe Miller, tight end Leonard Pope, linebacker Patrick Trahan, punter Tress Way, linebacker Lawrence Wilson and safety Tom Zbikowski.

After the Bennett trade, and after the rookie pool, and including the ridiculous Alshon Jeffrey cap his, we STILL have 15 million to spend. The Bears have been good about spending the maximum amount. We typically annually do some roll-over where we have 5 million extra to spend each year. We have 15 million to spend and I can't think of a single notable free agent we need to worry about resining next year. How the hell are we going to spend 15 million?

It's been well documented that we made three 4th round picks without choosing Dak. My question is this: if we would have chosen him, how would the world see him now?

With the June 1 cap savings applied, the Bears now have over $15M in cap space. So there is a good chance they pick up a few more FAs in this class over the next few weeks. It will be interesting to see where they target. I hope they go after a RG at least.

There must be SOME reason that the Bears did not draft a QB this year. Some good QB's fell into their laps and they refused to pull the trigger....what gives???

While catching a glimpse of the MNF game were TO look very good I ponder the following: If someone would have told me at the end of last season that the Bears could have an opportunuity to get both TO and Moss on the roster this season I would of said no way. But that is exactly what JA could have done this season. TO is having a very strong year and Randy has been productive as well. Too bad JA did not go and get these guys when they were available. Because JA would then only really need to focus on solidifying the OL in the next draft and some additional depth at CB, DT, DE etc. But JA decided to be more riske and rely on young and inexpierenc…
