Read this and I'm wondering if Hester is about to sign a modest contract extension, one that will pay him to simply focus on being a KR/PR? ----------------------------------------------------------- http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears When we last heard from Chicago Bears returner/receiver Devin Hester, he had backed off his threat to retire but was still suggesting he might benefit from a fresh start with another franchise. Tuesday, Hester used a post on his Instagram account to imply he has had a change of heart. Hester The post read: "For all my Bears fan #yes. I'm a bear 4 life.# Beardown!!!!! ----------------------------------------------…

One year deal. Decent depth and special teamer and seemed like a good locker room guy, by all accounts.

Bears looking for trade partner He seemed to be trying to talk his way out of town...looks like it might happen.

Since we now have another body to add to the mix. I think we should still resign St Clair and still draft a OT in the first round. We need as many bodies as possibe since we arent even sure Williams can play yet. So could this be our ofensive line? Williams, St. Clair, Keuntz, Buening, Oher with Omiyale, Beekman, and Garza backing them up. We cut Metcalfs ass.

One of our biggest needs are at safety. McCourty is the top rated and will go for 8-10 mil a year. From what I have read Moore will carry a 4-5 mil contract and another name I like is Searcy from Buffalo who will carry a 4-5 mil contract. So why not fix the safety position for years to come with 2 young upgrades instead of grabbing McCourty? I think someone already suggested this just couldnt find the thread it was in.

Re making the roster has started and what we know as of this day, my new plan: QB- one more year for Cutler and not a lot of choices. Claussen , nothing to get excited about, maybe a drafted QB in our future? Grayson/CSU-4th round-maybe can become something one day. WR-BM gone-Jeffery, a very good #2-Would want to get Cobb and then add Cooper/ with the first round(124 catches-2014) now we have something. RB- Will make the call of Forte being traded for a 4th round pick-bring in Mark Ingram and draft Duke Johnson as a CJ Spiller type of option in the 3rd. TE- We have a beast in Bennett- bring in Virgil Green for a #2. OL- Plan the future now and …

Apologies to anyone offended for last night I do not, repeat DO NOT hate Kyle Long. I dont know how to look up my past posts, but Kyle Long is there at 50 more than once Anyway, Here is my Bears Day 2 50. Trade back to 54, 50+4thRD to get a 3rd (Dolphins) 54. Manti Teo - Brown will go top15 of second 77. Barrett Jones - Bears totally revamp their OL, with two starters

Was listening a little to the "Herd" this morning. And of course Trent Dilfer made an appearance. (Colin is a big fan). They got to discussing the Bears. First thing Colin said is he thought the Bears were a "fraud". Asked Dilfer what he thought. Dilfer's reply was basically that he didn't believe in them. He did make one note that I found ironic. He felt the only real way that the Bears could even hope to make it into and through the playoffs (let alone Super Bowl) were if the Defense began to play off the chart. He felt that it mostly fell into the hands of Cutler being consistent and thusly why the team could not maintain it's momentum. They reviewed the rema…

http://www.1043thefan.com/Channels/trainin...aspx?ID=1585660 Pretty right on in my opinion. These guys are stupid but they definitely understand who is responsible for the Broncos win and his name is not TEBOW. http://www.1043thefan.com/VideoChannel/tra...px?PostID=44894

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...d5-70189b6de3f0 Figured everyone would like this video as we have debated BPA vs drafting a player of need. If Pace loves a guy and he is there, it looks like they will take BPA. Would love to see their draft board! Also said if the guys that are left when they pick are all close they would probably go with a need player. Here is another video longer (full) : http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...8e-50ea191cf30e

Everyone seems to at least think a trade down would work well for the Bears. Most think the QB class is weak, and most think the guys we really want/need are better suited later than the third pick. So, is there any team that would be willing to move up to the #3 pick and not mortgage their entire future? Is there a team that has the picks/players to pull it off? Here's my best shot: CLE - Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M SF - QB CHI - SF didn't take the QB they want, and CLE calls the Bears to make a big move for what they think is a franchise QB, while keeping one of their second rounders. CHI trades their #3 pick (2200) for CLE's #10 pick (1300), #33…

I thought I'd start a new thread for this, since it's not clear how much of it is related to Tillman's injury and how much is not. Here are the changes in the secondary so far: - Danieal Manning is back at FS... - ...but Craig Steltz will replace him in the nickel package. On obvious passing downs, Manning will move to nickel back (although Jeff Dickerson suggests that Corey Graham might get some snaps there as well.) - In the base package, Steltz is the backup SS behind Kevin Payne. - Corey Graham is back at corner... - ...but Zack Bowman is the starter at left corner in Tillman's absence. So, unless I'm wrong, our secondary depth c…

For the keeper league, I got the email that we have moved the draft up to tomorrow "early afternoon". Can we set a time? I don't know if we are talking about noon or 3pm, or if we are going to do it earlier or later, or what. Family is wanting to do some stuff, and while they understand I have the draft, I would like to know when it is so I can plan around it.

How many fewer sacks can we expect to see in 2025? New coaches, new scheme, revamped O-Line and 2 shiny new weapons. So Williams led the NFL in sacks last year with 68 on 562 passing attempts, which was the highest sack total since David Carr's 68 in 2005. At first I thought, ok, if he can drop by 20%, that would be solid. That would be 14 fewer sacks for a total of 54. That would've still led the league last season without Williams' 68. So it needs to be lower. So the next number is 33%, can he cut his sacks down by a third, so can he cut 23 sacks to go to 45? That would still be top 10 in sacks, but less than Burrow, Darnold, and Daniels. That seems a l…

That Omiyale had replaced Beekman on the last drive. ZZ asked him after the game why Beekman was replaced and Lovie said that was the 1st he aware of it. ZZ asked if Beekman was injured and Lovie said no. Just food for thought. Peace
