Lovie Smith announced this at the combine. He's no longer thinking about it, but he's going to make it official. Damn that sucks. I was really hoping after a couple of months off he'd reconsider. So that brings our money we have to spend to 31-32 million. Any thoughts on who we should spend it on now? (Other then St. Clair which has immediately become urgent.)

I remember when he first went out they said he had a strained thumb and then recently I heard someone say ligament damage. When is this guy going to be playing again? I don't see us being able to develop any of the talent with Barkley at QB. Peace

Would anybody be totally against him? I can speak from first hand experience. Hawaiian people are not trash, and are extremely genuine. I think as far as football talent, he is on top. It seems rumors are now building that we're likely taking a DB at #3. That's an exceedingly easy rumor to throw out there given the talented options in Adams, Hooker, and Lattimore match very well with the Bears needs. Many draftniks in the media have had us taking Lattimore for the last couple weeks. There's a ton of love for Faneca but I've heard little about Flozell Adams. The guy is a pro-bowl LT. The fact that he turns 33 in May is a major problem, but you hope to get 3 years out of a guy like that. Let Tait move back to the RT position, I'll be honest, I haven't been a big fan of signing a guy, especially since he'll cost an arm and a leg. With the biggest game of his career. Four years into his NFL career. .Two two or three years with all of his coaches and players. And this is the passing game plan they go with. Five pass plays over ten yards and only one completion. One interception. The coaching staff does not have more faith in him than that game plan was the best he could handle..
