Having this high of a pick for the Bears is new territory we havent visited in along time. In viewing dozens of mock drafts and player ratings several names keep recurring. these 4 are in every article: Winston Mariota Gregory Williams we will never see these for names at #7. Amari Cooper-Shane Ray-Brandon Scherff-Danny Shelton the next 4 most common names to show up: Our pick will come from these 4 names There is merit to select each of these 4 as pertaining to our #7 pick I think with Fox, Pace,Fangio they …

Any interest in either of these guys in the slot? KC is the new "where WR's go to die". So it is hard to give an honest assessment due to how bad they have been at WR. Avery is quicker but older. Jenkins was great at U of I, but has been essentially a draft bust. http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article-2/Chi...16-4a5576c5b526

Was going to post the link but it was a quick blurb. It said the Jets are more than likely going to cut Percy Harvin and that the Bears and Raiders are already early suitors. I hope this is only speculative rumor. Can't see it working out well. He's the true definition of locker room distraction.

Some here are hanging their hats on the statement Pace made talking about building through the draft. This has lead me to wanting to re watch it and digest it again after the initial excitement of a new GM wore off. The statement was made about building in the draft for sustained success, and it's certainly understandable to take that quote and run with it, but there's more to it. When asked about whether this is a rebuilding team or a team capable of a quick turnaround, Pace brought up the 06 Saints. The 05 Saints were 3-13 and Pace talked about how everyone was talking about how the team was in need of a "Massive rebuild" and how the team was "Decimated", but …

A month ago he wasn't anywhere to be found in top 10 draft picks. Back then almost every mock draft had us taking S Landon Collins. Now I find Shelton on a quite a few mocks for the Bears pick. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-dr...rt/dane-brugler http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-dr...expert/rob-rang http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-dr...pert/pat-kirwan http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2015charlie.php

Anybody know this name? He is a TE on our team. Annen is a ridiculous athlete, running a 4.41 at the school's pro day, also posting 25 bench press reps, a 34 inch vertical and 10 foot broad jump. 6'4" 247 He did 16-182-2 his senior year. Maybe he turns into a beast with some coaching.

Pace said he will rebuild through the draft, so I dont think there will be any big free agent signing, but plenty of lower end signing to help redo the roster. We have decent amount of cap space, but way to many spots to fill,to spend big. QBs-We will NOT be bringing in a QB to compete with Cutler, simply none available. Backups: Matt Moore has history with Fox Brian Hoyer has history with our new QB coach Jake Locker has history with our new QB coach conclusion: I think we bring in one of these 3 OR draft one. RBs-I think Kary gets a chance to show what he can do and keep in mind Gase and Fox ha…

I think that most of our draft picks will be on defense. Our DC will take what we get in the draft along with the pieces we have to form whatever defense the talent allows. I think they fit some pieces in from free agency. DL-With Houston and Young coming back from injuries it muddles the expectations of pieces we have that will fit in to the new scheme on defense. Bass and Washington will be tried at OLB so Houston, maybe Sutton are the only two DE types we have on the roster. We dont have the true NT type but think with Ratliff and Furgeson we have two that could play the role. Paea- was our best DL last year but doubt if he can play the DE sp…

I got into a conversation with one of the tenants at the building I work at and he's a huge FSU fan(I know this because I've seen him wear a few FSU sweaters, today he was wearing a Bears hoody). He brought up Christian Jones. He said that hes capable of being a monster as an OLB in the 3-4. Talked about how physically gifted he was and said with the right coaching (which he thinks the Bears have now) we may not even need a OLB opposite of Young. I admittedly hadn't seen enough of him, and thought of him as an ILB, but he said no, you want him on the edge making plays and utilizing his athleticism. What do you guys think of him? You can see in the…

Manziel, their 12th and 19th picks in the draft. With all of the issues going on in Cleveland and the fact that the franchise has been down for so long, they need to find some continuity at QB. Manziel probably isn't that guy (and or could use a change of scenery after going into rehab) and with the defense they have, they need to find a solid QB who can try and get them back to the playoffs. Wilbon suggested Bears trade Cutler for their 2 1st (with no mention of us giving back our 1st), however, I find that incredibly unrealistic (although I would clearly do it, because I think as a franchise, we need to be in full blown, talent accumulation mode right now). I also…

Does Briggs fit a 3-4? Given all the needs, if we add one or two young players, not a bad thing to have a dedicated Briggs back. The question really comes in to his dedication. Of course, I'm one of the few on this board that has been a huge Briggs fan, although last year he clearly was pretty upset and don't like the way he handled himself. I presume the Bears will not bring him back but in Fox / Pace I trust. I would hope Fox, Briggs, Fangio and Pace could talk and see if they thought there was a good fit. I am most concerned on his inability to stay on the field though. He was still our best lb'er (not that it says much) when he was healthy. At least make sure you d…
