Crabtree's injury causes him to drop to 18th where we can nab him. Really though that does suck for him and i wonder if it will have any affect on where he gets drafted. I could see it not really doing anything

  5. JA said last year they were happy with the Oline unit as a whole and that it would take time for them to gel as a unit. Everyone else has been calling for an upgrade to he Oline for the last 4 to 5 years. The last decent oline we had was 06 when Thomas Jones and Benson had a good year. Emery takes over and the only big thing that has been done was the Marshal trade. Two things that we know- Williams and Carmi are coming back. This will help the oline unit as a hole. We dont know if Williams is being put back at LT as stated in another thread. My major concern is the LT spot. Webb in my eyes is not good enough to be a starter and should only be a backup in c…

I have to watch the game again but the linebackers play today was by far the best this season. Agree? Play calling ( defense ) was far more agressive today. Granted thier qb was strickly a pocket passer . Maybe blitz a little more but kudos for the D.

  7. Cameron Worrell was released from the dolphins. I say give him a minimum vet contract and we could have our s/t ace back, and some depth at S. He also know's our system as far as s/t's play.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...forte04.article excerpt: "As much as Toledo is going to miss the player, he's going to miss the person. A day after being drafted, Forte attended the Tulane football banquet last Sunday with his parents. ''You know, he didn't have to do that,'' Toledo said. The next day he was at the school to work out -- twice. Forte went through conditioning exercises in the morning and was back in the afternoon to take part in drills with former teammates."

Denver Broncos extend DE Derek Wolfe to a four year contract. He was one of the defensive targets I hoped the Bears would get. Still a wild dream they can get Wilkerson DE or Berry S.

What is up with the blowouts this season? Yesterday's games were decided by 16 and 18 pts and could've been higher if Atlanta didn't take a knee at the 1. In the Wild Card weekend, the closest game was 13 featuring Osweiler and Cook. The others were just as bad. Detroit scored 6 pts, GB won by 25 and Pittsburgh was up 30-6 with 6 mins left in the game.

From profootballtalk.com: BEARS PLANNING FRIDAY VISIT WITH THOMAS Posted by Mike Florio on April 24, 2008, 8:59 a.m. At a time when most of the smoke signals emanating from Halas Hall suggest that the Chicago Bears will focus on improving the offensive line and/or the running game with the 14th overall pick in the draft, a league source tells us that receivers coach Darryl Drake is heading to Michigan on Friday to meet with, and possibly to work out, receiver Devin Thomas. Of course, there’s a chance that the smokescreen is the team’s eleventh-hour interest in Thomas. If the Bears can cajole the Bills into taking him at No. 11, or dupe someone into jumping…

I can't beleieve what we are paying some of these guys. Also Notice: How little money has been spent on keeping our Franchise QB protected compared to the other postions. Additionally, Last Years starting OL salary totalled only $10.6 Million! 2013 Player salary: http://overthecap.com/teamcap.php?Team=Bears&Year=2013 2012 Players salary: http://www.sportscity.com/nfl/salaries/chi...bears-salaries/ Peppers $16M (I like PEP and he is a restructure candidate) Cutler $10M (I think he will show us why he was worth two draft picks and think he will earn a multi year extension) Marshall $9.5M (should be extended) Melto…
