Remember, we (the board) have just chosen an OG in the 1st Rd so for building our team who do you want to pick in Rd 2? I'm listing Warford because it was entirely possible Long was chosen to be an OT. As we build our team for the future which player best fits our remaining needs and/or BPA as you see fit. For me the pick is Arthur Brown. With the board having gone OG in Rd 1 I feel we must get best talent available to bring youth to our LB corps. I was against taking him in Rd 1 because I don't think he has what we need to play MLB, but at this point in the draft Brown represents very good value and fills a need.

FREE AGENT UPDATE: WLB Lance Briggs is history, even though he's a productive player, he's not getting Brian Urlacher money from the Bears, and his off-the-field problems with driving and paternity haven't helped endear him to the organization. WR Bernard Berrian had a problem with drops in the first half of the season, but he put up impressive numbers considering the QB situation. Chicago would like to have him back, but the feeling may not be mutual, and the Bears will not get into a bidding war for him. Monday, 12:33 p.m. The Bears terminated the contract of guard Tyler Reed this afternoon. Although he was in the running for a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp down in Bourbonnais, Reed hasn't been able to elevate himself off the practice squad in three years as a pro. Reed was originally a sixth-round selection of the Bears out of Penn State in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Apparently Mike Florio is reporting trade talks for Young are heating up. I’m looking for links to support that.

I have to watch the game again but the linebackers play today was by far the best this season. Agree? Play calling ( defense ) was far more agressive today. Granted thier qb was strickly a pocket passer . Maybe blitz a little more but kudos for the D.

Cap question: I'm assuming the Bears aren't going to spend more then they would normally. In other words, if the cap would have been around 120 million, we'll likely spend around 120 million. I can't see JA given an unlimited amount of money to spend. That being said, how much do the Bears have to spend based on what the cap likely would have been?

I would be more than OK if the Bears wanted to bring back Jones to finish out his career. He easily has another decent 3-4 years in him. They guy has only rushed for at least 1,000 yards the last 5 years (to include his last 2 for Chicago). Jones is one of those consummate professionals who I really never understood his being released from Chicago, especially since the Benson experiment never worked out.

Well, this was my chance to get to see the bears live. I should have stayed home and read a book. Anyway, some comments, Offense - Honestly, I am surprised we were able to score at all. If you all think they look bad on TV, you really do not want to see them live. Houston does not exactly have an all-pro defense. Heck, they don't have a good one.
