Another one bites the dust. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...ning-bears.html Peace

Well, everyone it was a good day for the bears! Tampa, Philly, Minnesota, and Dallas all lost this week. What does this mean? Here's what we need to make it to the playoffs: Obviously we need to win out, so combined with that this is what needs to happen. Dallas must lose AT Philly next week and Tampa must lose at home against the Raiders. If this happens combined with a win tomorrow night and next sunday we're in as the 6th seed. However, why go for a 6th seed when the queens are going to choke away the division? So the way for us to be the 4th seed is for minnesotta to lose at home against he Giants. So everyone watch sunday night football and root for the …

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...d-willie-young/ Bears extend Willie Young Posted by Michael David Smith on July 30, 2016, 9:11 AM EDT Miami Dolphins v Chicago Bears Getty Images Bears pass rusher Willie Young will be sticking in Chicago for a few more years. Young and the Bears have agreed to a two-year extension through 2018, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports. Young had been entering the final season of the three-year contract he signed in 2014. The 30-year-old Young says he hopes to retire as a Bear. Last year Young led the Bears with 12 tackles for loss and was second on the Bears with 6.5 sacks. He also intercepted a pass and returned it…

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...lip=Y&rn=16 2 things: 1. It looks like he's having fun out there. When they were all throwing into the net from the goal post, he was slamming his hat down and laughing a little. That's good to see he's getting along with Hanie and Basanez. 2. The way the ball comes out of his hand is just so smooth and powerful. It seems like Basanez's throws take forever to get there, Hanie's are alright, and Cutler's are just on the money 100 mph.

This was a game filled with players who will affect the draft on the first two days. I only saw the 2nd half and it's recorded so I'll likely go back and watch it all. For now... Jonathan Allen: In two college playoff games I've yet to be impressed. I don't see the game wrecker I was expecting to see but he can also be holding back a bit knowing he's about to make $30 or 40mil. His stat line was good 7 tackles, 1 sack so one of these days I'll go back and watch the game and focus even more on him, unless of course our friends at Draftbreakdown cut it up. DeShaun Watson: Speaking of making $30 or $40mil there is no way to watch that game and not come a…

Carter fined 5k for spearing Olsen which could have potentially knocked him out of the game Mark Anderson fined 10k for a push. doesn't seem fair to me, but politics as usual

http://www.chicitysports.com/2011/09/29/ph...-walter-payton/ Pearlman gives his side of the story. SI only illustrated a very small part of the book which showed the bad but there was PLENTY of good. Jeff delves into the good in this interview. Many are saying he wants to make a quick buck off the demons of Walter yet don't realize that is a very...very small part of the book. Anybody's opinion change after listening?

We've seen enough to know this team is a mid level stinker. The question remains as to what to do to right the ship. Here are some my thoughts. Organization: Starting at the top, Teddy needs to go. As stated in another post, I would shed tears of joy if Bill Polian would accept a 3 year post as team president. He would require total autonomy from the McCaskeys. GM: Emery stays another year, as he is evaluated by a president that knows what he is doing. Besides, he was left in a horrible cap, age and talent situation by JA and Lovie. Coaching: The axe has to fall on someone. It immediately needs to be Joey D. While his unit has improved over the co…

http://nfpost.com/Biggs-Will-Bears-extend-Cutler.html Its amazing what all you can find on Twitter. lol Thanks to Brad Biggs.

Now that pitt just threw down a ton of money on big ben I hope there's a way we can poison pill them with starks and steal him away like we did tait. NFL network listed them in bad cap condition. If we get starks and another fa o-linemen(olivea, or the guard from Tennessee) we'd be free to take someone like mendenhall or stewart with 14. The rb crop of fa is thin and I don't want a washed up j. jones. Go for the youth to compete with benson send him a signal that he's not getting it done, draft mendenhall!

Sadly, I have to start looking at how we fix this mess in the offseason or the emotions of these losses will really make me depressed. I've said fixing the pass rush is the top priority for us in the offseason. Safety is in the mix too. However, what if the value isn't there when we pick in the 1st Rd? When you draft early in the first I think it's imperative that you grab a blue chip player period regardless of needs. If that blue chip player fits a need all the better but regardless, you always take the elite player when the opportunity presents itself. Draft Tek has us picking a LT, Andrus Peat, from Stanford. I know they are using computer simulations …
