  1. Rodgers deal with Packers is five years, $110 million, highest salary in NFL history. Rodgers average of $22 million tops the $20.1 million the $20.1 million Ravens' Joe Flacco received earlier this year. https://twitter.com/TomSilverstein The Packers now have $35 million/yr tied to 2 players (Rodgers/Matthews) for the next 5 years. They take up almost 30% of their cap space, and will take up over 25% of the cap space for the next 5 years (assuming the cap rises).

Aaron Rodgers has been pressured on nearly every snap and already sacked 5 times before the halfway point in the 2nd quarter. Bulaga is getting abused by the rookie Bruce Irvin similar to the Webb/Matthews matchup. This is shaping up to be even more of a disaster than what Cutler was up against last week, yet Rodgers remains composed and hasn't imploded. I don't want to hear any more excuses about Cutler. He's not the only quarterback faced with the task of overcoming a bad offensive line. Edit: 8 sacks and counting..

They may have won the NFC and SB, but they still lost the division...truth, that makes them losers! And they fell short if the goal is beat the [rival], win the division, win the SB. So Lovie is not impressed. Now it's time for all their free agents to cash in and can go be overpaid to play on other teams. Detroit will finish with a higher record and we won't have to worry about almost beating them with our 3rd string QB. You know, just an unbiased commentary...

I've done a bunch of mock lately on fanspeak, and I ran into this one today that I couldn't understand. I definitely don't think this would happen, or would it be normal, but this would be an insane draft for a variety of reasons. Listening to a clip from an interview with Jay Cutler on the Waddle and Silvy show on WMVP AM 1000(ESPN Radio) DA was held out of most of the action because he was held out of practice during the week because he had some knee issues and general soreness. He then went on to say that if you are not on the field in practice you can't be expected to contribute much in the game. The reporter Jeff Dickerson who is this station's Bears beat reporter and has been covering the team since camp began threw in his two cents and said that he felt that he thought that his crucial drops in the previous game had something to do with his receiving only one snap this week. I for one think …

I just read two articles (one on the Trib one Sun Times) that are basically the same talking about how pathetic our pass D is. In one quote Vasher is saying giving up inside slants all day long is the scheme and everyone in the league knows it. Other quotes have Lovie and Babich both saying we're trying everything but there's only so much you can do. Tommie Harris chimes in that the pass rush is doing their job (they aren't). Alex Brown says "we're just not getting there" and he's right. The pass defense is a mess. Either it's scheme or players, or as I see it, both. Nobody seems to want any accountability and nobody wants to admit what needs to improve, or at…

  9. It appears that one of our greatest running backs is speaking out against our latest running back bust and is reiterating that the players of today only care about the bank and not about the team nor the game itself. One of these days I hope that this trend gets turned around. Too many Is and MEs on this team and others versus Us and WEs. I think they are pretty sharp with their evaluations, and their valve on our players are: 77th-Gilbert 82- Inglesias 83- Moore 111-Melton This is the overall valves, and I think we have done well with needs and valve of the pick.

I love these prediction systems and such. This one is funny. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Avo3...o&type=lgns The title says it all "Favre gives Vikings edge in NFC". Wow, so we finish 3rd in the Division and have the easiest SoS. No way.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago-bears/post...of-olb-sam-acho I knew he was sick, but to the point where his contract was terminated? This is odd. [uPDATE] Looks like they expect him to be out a couple of weeks, so as to not have portions of his salary count against the cap (the weeks he is out), they terminated him before Week 1. If they bring him back, he will be paid on a week to week basis. So in the end seems to be a smart fiscal move on the Bears part.

Torn pectoral muscle. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/bears-sam-acho-out-for-season/ Who gets the call? Irving or Fitts? I think it will be Irving. Fitts needs a lot of work on his pass rushing moves.

I am in the Air Force and stationed overseas. AFN, the broadcasting network for the Armed Forces, has a Viewer's Choice where we pick the game seen overseas. For the last 3 weeks, Bears' fans stationed overseas have been stuck watching the Saints against the Bucs and Browns. Right now the Saints are winning again and I can't take it!!! What I ask of my fellow Bears' fans is go to AFN Fan's Choice and vote for the Bears vs Bills. This would allow all the Bears' fans serving our country to watch them. I thank you for your time and your vote. Let's do this the Chicago way and vote early and vote often. --BearsFan74

Does anyone else think its weird that Grossman hasnt been IRed yet or that we havent signed anyone else? Are we only carrying Orton and Griese for this game? I wonder if theres any chance Grossman isnt done for the season. We havent gotten any kind of description or timeline of his injury that I know of.
