Rondale Moore and Mecole Hardman visited the Bears today. I really would love a short term deal for Moore. 24 with tons of speed - coming off injury and I think in right role could thrive as a slot / take the top off guy with some gadget and special teams thrown together. Both players are speed guys. Moore was like 4.33 coming out - injuries have been a big issue with him and he missed all of last year.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post..._medium=twitter James Brown OT: Troy I watched this guy sit around in the 3rd to the end... Wondered why nobody grabbed him -From WALTER Football James Brown, OT, Troy Height: 6-4. Weight: 306. 40 Time: 5.30. 10-yd Split: 1.84. Bench: 24. Arm: 34 1/2. Hand: 10 1/4. Projected Round (2012): 2-4. 4/24/12: Brown is a sleeper prospect who flashed at the Senior Bowl. Against elite competition, he showed some real quickness and athletic ability. As the process never ends in my world I am making a list of players I think the Bears will keep a keen eye on as they draw out there scouting schedule. Next years draft, they will need two homeruns with the the first two picks as they have no 3rd RD. If things fall right this season, this should be a deep OLT draft. The positions as of today that they will need to add youth: OLT Chris Faulk LSU 6-6 325 Taylor Lewan Mich 6-8 302 Jake Matthews Tex AM 6-5 305 Oday Aboushi Virg 6-6 310 Luke Joeckel Tex AM 6-6 310 Ricky Wagner Wis 6-6 322 DJ Fluker Ala 6-6 335 DT Johnathan Hankins Ohio St 6-3 318 Star Lotuleile Utah 6-4 325 Kawann Short Purdu…

At first I thought the original round tender offer Pace put on Meredith was just him being cautious with somewhat unproven WR returning from injury. I now believe his intentions all along were to secure Meredith for a few years on a reasonable contract, perhaps around $5-7mil per year. Meaning he'd like him to sign an offer from another team so he can match it. If he does not, Pace can still offer that kind of a deal for Meredith, perhaps something in the 3 yr range that gets him back to FA when he's still young enough (he's 25 now) to really capitalize on it but also gives him enough now that he's financially secure for life. Cam offers versatility (x, y, and z)…

Just heard the newest spin on the NFL draft from "sources" close to the Bears. Supposedly Pace was told to get a QB no matter what with the first pick. He is not the man in charge when ownership is making the football decisions. Why does everything have to be a conspiracy. From Fox didnt know to this now. The Chiefs (edit:had -Cardinals) were praised for trading away their future for Mahomes and they said you do that for a QB that can be your franchis for 10 years. Bears do it and the world collapses.

Per the Tribune, he dislocated his wrist and will have surgery Monday. He's expected to miss 3-4 weeks. http://csnchicago.com/pages/landing?Report...&feedID=661

Good article. I like both players but I see more upside with Roach's youth. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear07.article Peace

Multiple reports are saying Urlacher is in the HOF

The Chicago Bears shore up the oline by signing Jason Peters.

I just got to thinking about how poorly Orton throws the long-ball, and how it affects the overall offense. That made me think, "What would Devin Hester's stats look like if he had a QB who could throw the long ball?" -Lee Evans, who does nothing but catch the long-ball it seems, really benefitted from JP Losman throwin the longball. Insert Trent Edwards and the longball disappears. -Remember what Randy Moss looked like with Daunte Culpepper? -Remember how Marcus Robinson made Cade McNown look like a decent QB because the one pass Cade seemed to throw well was the rainbow deep ball? Devin Hester finished the year with 45 catches, 580 yards, and 3 TDs. Sup…

The Bears may have home advantage when it comes to the crowd and the weather (against some), but they certainly don't have home "field" advantage. So far this year, at least the following people have ripped the garbage turf: -Cutler: "...worst field in the league..." -Urlacher: "The footing at Soldier Field has been horrible." -Olsen: ""You don't have to be a scientist to know that grass doesn't grow in these conditions. It is what it is." (In other words, "WTF can I do about it? No reason to complain.") -Desmond Clark: "...cow pasture...one of the worst fields in the NFL and there are no excuses why the Chicago Bears, of all teams, should have to play on suc…

I'm rooting for Orton to do great, but I laughed my ass off at this. From PFT: Orton hears a boo Posted by Mike Florio on August 6, 2009 10:57 PM ET Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton received a warm welcome from Denver fans during a Thursday night practice at Invesco Field. The crowd of 13,000-plus loudly booed the former Bear when he threw two interceptions and badly misfired on a pass to receiver Chad Jackson. Orton has been installed as the starter, for now, following an offseason trade that sent quarterback Jay Cutler to Chicago.

Just heard on the score that Josh Freeman visited the Bears today. He is a big pudwack and dont think that's a good idea.

Here is a good article on fixing that weakness. https://sportsmockery.com/2018/05/five-ways-chicago-can-fix-their-edge-rusher-problem/ I do not think we are in as bad as shape as it may look. We finished 7th in the league last year with Floyd hurt most of the year. McPhee beat up, Young on the DL. We have more production coming from Floyd this year.10-12 ? Aaron Lynch will make some kind of contribution 4-6? Kwiat is going to backup outside and I see him contributing 3-4. R. Smith will be figured in the pass rushing aspect 3-4. Patrick Willis first year with Fangio stats. 174 tks and 4 sacks, he had a high of 6 sacks in his third ye…
