Kurt Warner is expected to announce his retirement on Friday. Could the Bears turn to Martz for their OC position and than offer Warner a job as our QB coach. I realize Warner would have a lot to prove, but he makes quick reads, gets rid of the ball quickly, and would be a pretty good role model for Cutler. Just throwing it out there since evidently NFL network is reporting that Warner wants to pursue coaching or the broadcast booth when he retires.

I'd love to see the Insider Offseason Playbook that was posted today if anyone can help....Not sure if those articles can be copy and pasted but that'd be pretty sweet. What does everyone think is going to happen with Barkley? I didn't watch the second half of the Vikings game but saw he got pulled...that seems like an ominous sign. Also, watching "Lunch With Larry" and he is saying he does not see Barkley coming back and forecast Hoyer and Shaw in the mix....interesting view from a somewhat insider that he would say so blatantly he did not see Barkley in the mix.

Apparently, Wimbley was the Bears top target in 2011 FA. However, he was resigned by the Raiders prior to the Bears getting a chance. This is pure McClure and the speculation is the Bears will be high on him again this year. They think he's the perfect compliment opposite Peppers. Probably will cost between 5-7M a year. I know we've talked about him a lot but I figure at this point, he deserves his own thread. I assume he will be release by the Raiders shortly!

Marshall may be a little high, but it is nice to see him projected there. I know it is not much, but it is nice to see Bears positional players in and around the top 10 (other than Forte).

First and foremost I have to say that there is something different with this coaching staff. Week to week I keep seeing improvement in the quality of play, both individual and team (i.e. being in the right position). As of right now we have the 7th ranked defense in terms of yards given up per game. That is surprising to me. The offense is way back in the low 20's but has still been productive with Cutler at the helm. Normally when you get new schemes either offense or defense there are learning curves and mistakes but there are also plays that you run that other teams aren't prepared for. So, Hester and Bennett are out with concussions. Alshon has a knee problem, which followed a hand problem. That leaves the Bears with Marshall, Dane, Weems...which really means, Marshall. So, what are his thoughts? Brandon Marshall's thoughts I would not mind seeing Mike Sims-Walker on this team one bit. He comes in, proves himself, and next year he probably beats out one of the other WRs for a #3 or #4 role. Win-win

I know this has been talked about many times however, I am so freakin pissed off right now with this defense. I know it is only the 2nd game as well however, it is the freakin cheese heads we are playing. This so called defense continues to give up huge yardage and does not seem to be doing anything positively right now. How else do you explain that last Sunday we make a rookie QB look like a freakin All-Pro and tonight the "D" is getting even more exploited by the QB who has been one of the best in recent memory in the NFL.
