I always surf the web to find stories about the Bears and found one that does that for me. Topix.com/Chicago Bears ( I dont know how to link it) It searches the web for any stories on the Bears and posts them everyday. It makes it easy for me.

Looks like we are really going to have roster spot battles this year in camp for the starting Oline and Dline positions, as where you pretty much knew who was going to be where last year. Glad to see that Emery is continuing his predecessor's habit of signing draft picks early. This is a point to agure with the Packers, Lions and Vikings but with the Bears trading for Marshall and drafting Jeffrey and having Bennett and Hester, with Knox and Thomas we seem to have a better core of players than the other three. Now this maybe is just IMHO the start of the Bears getting back in control of the Division. Start with the Oline, Carmi remains an injury problem, Webb doesnt take a step forward. Forte holds out until the season starts and starts slow. Cutler, because of the Oline, doesnt get time to take advantage of the WRs he was given. Marshall ends up being suspended for 4 games. We still dont have a pass rush. The DBs suffer because of no pass rush. Urlacher has nagging injuries that keeps him out of games. With all negitive things (and all wont occure) we finish 7-9, 8-8 and Lovie keeps his job for one more year.

We need to look at why we should be optimistic. With Marshall, Jeffery, Weems, Thomas, we now have the best WRs we have probably every had here. With Gates, he will know how to use Cutler to the best of his ability. With Tice, he will play to the strengths of his players and not to a system. Rodreguz and Davis come thru and make an impact at TE. Forte signs and with Bush we have a legit 2 rb tandem that leads the league in rushing. The faith in the line comes thru and Webb improves, Carmi stays healthy and Garza doesnt have a dropoff due to age. We now have a pass rush with McClenllin, and Paea and Melton take a step forward. Something different. Curious as to how some here came up with their usernames. Some are obvious (like mine) and others not so obvious. For me, the Bears4Ever came from a site I used to visit back in the day called "Bulls4Ever" which has since been transformed into RealGM. The 34 came from Walter Payton, whom I was named after (Payton is my first name). I debated using Sweetness34 but stuck with Bears4Ever. Pompei wrote an article in the trib stating about bringing back Harris as a rotation guy.Since we are short at the position, someone to give you 10 to 15 snaps a game, may not be a bad idea. He had 10 hurries and 3 sacks in a part time role.

I did know he was available this year. He still has not signed with a team yet. I would take shot at him for sure. He was one the up and comers a couple of seasons back , And he is only 27. Take a chance?

Every time I read one of Larry Mayer's pieces on the officials site I get irritated. If there were ever a bigger brown nose I've yet to see it. This guy thinks everything is great all the time, thinks there are no holes on the team, and whenever possible chooses his words in such a way as to give the staff and management a way to weasel out. So, it got me to thinking about other Chicago journalists, and I know a lot of people don't like Mariotti, but which one do you hate reading?

Is there any vets that could get dropped during training camp due to roster additions? I will throw out there that the (Devin Package) could be a ticket out of town. We added several WR prospects. We added several KR prospects. He makes a lot of money for a 4th WR and a KR specialist I think they ask him to take a pay cut and have the additions to release him or trade him. It is not that I would like this move but with his cap hit this year is 7.6 mil and 12.8 next year and 10.5 mil. is roster bonuses and 3.5 in salary that could be dropped. , I see this as potenially happening.
