Hi All, I was just thinking, what is everyone thinking about the RB position? Last year Forte was thought to be the answer, many more questions around that thinking now I would think? Personally, I think we make sure that Jones is going to be sound next year and sign him up, and then think seriously about whether Wolfe is worth keeping. Can he really be a significant part of our offence?

Yep, the players f'ed up. Bad decisions were made and poor execution was abound. However, the buck stops at the coach. Bottom line, this team did not look prepared to play. He did get the defense going, but Smith did not have this club ready to play at a high level. He needs to right that wrong, and get this team motivated next weekend. He's got all of this season to prove me wrong, but I still don't feel he is good enough to get this team to the promised land.

Lmao, I just saw the "Teams at 20 report" and Rachel Nichols said that Lovie says Orton has a one game audition until they go back to Griese. ARE YOU freakin KIDDING ME? Stop with the Griese shit, he sucks, he isn't in our future. One game is hardly enough for Orton to prove anything. Lovie is stupid, that is all. Anyone else irked by his comments?

A few quick questions: 1) Do you think the Bears will draft a TE? 2) Do you think they will draft him in the first four rounds? 3) What stats do you think Zach Miller, assuming he stays injury free, will have at the end of the year? The reason why I ask is, I really don't know how the Bears feel about TE and Miller. Do they trust him? Seems so since they resigned him and traded Bennett. But, as the detractors have said, he's not a spring chicken and he has had injury issues in the past. That alone should be enough reason to invest in a young TE fairly early. I honestly hope the Bears don't draft a TE early. I want to see nothing but Defense and OL …

Just curious. FA is very near, w/ the draft not long after. Which aspect of the offseason are you all looking forward to more? Personally, I am looking more forward to FA. OL is our greatest need (not counting QB, where I see little major change), and is the position I think Angelo has seen more quality FAs added, while also being among his weakest positions in the draft. So much hinges on our upgrading the OL, and I think that will begin w/ FA. I am so interested to see how we attack the OL in FA, and believe it will have a major impact on the draft.

OK, by my math, we're about 24 hours from the Bears pick - so who will it be? I saw either Kevin White or Danny Shelton and will ultimately guess Shelton, because I think White will be gone. The Bears would love to trade down just a couple spots, but no farther than the Browns at #12 (Rams would be ideal) and get an extra pick. If the Browns trade up to #2, maybe the Bears would be OK trading back farther, but I think the Browns would take Shelton if the Bears didn't. As it stands, the Rams only have six picks and probably don't want to lose more and after that is the Vikings, and I doubt the Bears want to help them go up and get someone they like. Ratliff is the…

Obviously there's no way to know exactly how much say Fangio had in the drafts when he was in SF, but he had to have some say, right? So I figured I'd take a look at the defensive players they drafted. One big difference in looking at this is the fact that SF was already running a 3-4 when he got there and they already had Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman and Justin Smith (to name just a few). 2011 1 - Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri - 6'4" 263, 4.78 3 - Chris Culliver, CB, South Carolina - 6'1" 201. 4.40 6 - Colin Jones, S, TCU - 5'11" 200, 4.34 7 - Curtis Holcomb, CB, Florida A&M - 5'10" 184, 4.47 2012 5 - Darius Fleming, LB, Notre Dame - 6'2" 245,…

I just found out the Shoopster is the OC for NC. Yeah, that would be the NC football team that went 4-8 this year. I know they aren't generally considered a football powerhouse or anything, I just wanted to let all the Shoop haters out there know bad things continue to happen to him.

The same bad theme keeps cycling through my brain; Pace with another trade down, then a free agent overpay, Nagy with another dumb decision and so on. In just this year, Pace has brought us Andy Dalton at the cost of Kyle Fuller. While I agreed with the trade for Fields, the 'meh' was for trading yet another pick for Jenkins when we could have gotten a tackle with our pick.(but no, he falls in love with certain players) He simply could have kept Trubisky on a cheap deal, kept Fuller, drafted Fields and we'd be stronger. Nagy is just Nagy. He is and will be remembered as the Wile E Coyote of coaches. He gets all of the ACME products to make the perfect rocket…

Chicago Tribune According to the article it was a scope and the plan currently is that he will be ready for Indy. Even if his timetable is 3 weeks to return, I can't imagine putting him out there after he has been sitting for 4 weeks. I bet he returns for week 3.

We had a thread months ago speculating on the value of trading Hester. In light of him threatening to hold out for the season, and knowing we have several other players with excellent return ability, not nearly as much as Hester, but still could be effective return men, would you consider now trading Hester? Is it conceivable that we could get a #1 for him? Would a team give up that much to get the #1 return man in the NFL and the potential to be a top flight WR? If I thought he would be a season long holdout, I would say yes, trade him for a #1 or maybe a #2 & #4. I am just not convinced this holdout will last very long. Although it may hold bac…

Gaines update The tight end has a Monday morning flight to Chicago to meet with the Bears' staff May 8, 2009, 12:33 AM By: Jeff Dickerson Updating our previous entry, both the Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune now report that Michael Gaines will indeed visit the Bears on Monday. Vaughn McClure of the Tribune notes that Gaines has a 6 a.m. flight out of Detroit, and that the tight end is leaning toward the Bears over the Jets. Gaines tells McClure that he was initially caught off guard when first contacted by Lovie Smith last Thursday. "I'm not going to lie, I was kind of shocked because of who I am,'' Gaines told the Tribune. "I'm a blocking…
