I was thinking today that perhaps JA has already hedged his bet that Lovie wouldn't turn around this team. For a head coach who still has two years remaining he didn't go out last year and hire a DC. He didn't extend Ron Turner's contract past this season. I don't know the timing of the assistant coaches contracts but my point is that the two largest contracts besides the HC don't exist in this organization. Was that done to make firing Lovie more financially acceptable? Wouldn't it have been more logical to hire a new DC since at the time Lovie still had 3 years left on his contract? Clearly last year JA was the source of all the staff changes last year.…

Per Adam Schefter on his Twitter account. Orlando Pace is out today and so is Devin Hester. Bears inactives are Iglesias, steltz, hester, moore, june, toeainia, pace and gilbert. Schefter also reported that Ryan Pickett is out for the Packers and that BJ Raji will make his 1st career start.

I am watching this so called football game and was just wondering what everyone thinks that Lovie's thoughts will be this week for the inept effort for the apparent loss to Baltimore? Will he blame that fact of the difficult travel in getting to Baltimore or will he just say that he did not prepare he's team once again for the game? At some point someone in this organization needs to be held accountable and it does not seem that any one will ever be accountable for how pathetic that this team has become.

Just when I though no one could get dumber than the Bears coaching staff I stumbled across this nugget. All I have to say is what the hell were they thinking when they drew this up? The Redskins "Trick Play"

The first would have resulted in first and goal at the 1 instead at fourth and goal at the 4 we kick a 22 yard FG The second would have been an automatic first down, instead 3rd down and we have an incomplete pass and kick another fg on 4th down. Non calls hurt us as much as the bad ones do.

Yes, we won, and it was great to see the team play with some emotion for once... But you can guarantee yourself that this victory will be the excuse the front offices uses to keep Lovie. Sure, it was still 50-50 at best even if we did lose out, but not its almost a certainty he will be back. Very bittersweet tonight.

As a die hard fan I was jumping up and down, yelling at the TV, indoor clappin with whistling (sign of white-trashiness). I felt somewhat conflicted. I always want the bears to win no matter what. But, there was & is a small percentage of me (.1%) that wanted to see our coaching staff blow the game. With a great first half and being up 17 points towards the end of the 3rd quarter and to lose would have hermetically sealed the lovie coffin. Ron Turner called a good game. Both have done exceptional jobs with young QBs. I also recall Clements being highly regarded. He could be a great option as well.

That we're hiring offensive coaches without bringing in the OC? Wouldn't an OC want some of his own guys? Just saying... Seems like we're doing this backwards. I like the Tice hire...but this methodology concerns me.

Jay Glazer is reporting that one of the Bears OC candidates, Chan Gailey (former Cowboys and Georgia Tech head coach) will be taking the Buffalo Bills head coaching job. Personally I'm surprised. I thought Frazier was lined up for the job but I guess the Bills didn't want to wait until the Vikings were out of the playoffs to hire there guy. Sucks for Frazier. Frazier is technically a candidate for the Bears DC job but there is no reason that will ever happen.
