Life can be cruel. JD was fantastic. My thoughts and prayers go to his Parker and his family. Rest in peace, JD. Peace https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32953502/jeff-dickerson-espn-chicago-bears-reporter-dies-age-44

Thought this was interesting - one because he is a really good candidate, but 2 the timing. Seemed quick given they are likely to focus on a GM first. The only reason you would want to fast track some of the coaches might be because there are a few you think you might move on before you hire a GM (i.e., Harbaugh).

Anybody know?

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi09...0,3722127.story Looked to me like he pulled an upper abdominal muscle. probably wont be on the field as a reciever (not like he was anyway), but should be able to return kicks

http://blogs.startribune.com/vikingsblog/?p=1933 Minnesota sure does stick with their QB (he was terrible from day 1). http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Vi...?urn=nfl,108180 Thats a surprise, is this why he dropped touchdown passes all season?

Tommie Harris is done as far as I'm concerned. He's stealing money. He hasn't done anything since the beginning of the 2006 season. Devin Hester is going to get large sums of money for basically being what he is best at "A super freak returner". He doesn't know how to play WR yet he's getting paid like he should be a T.O.

But hes definately the weakest player on our defense. Consistently being matched up 1on1 and getting worked....

Well thats saying something for his statement afte r it happened, But he still played like crap and did not deserve to be on the field of play. Just glad his legal crap was dismissed, maybe now he will wake up and smell the coffee.

Everyone was on their nuts for being 2-1- who gives a sh*t? They beat the frigging Chiefs and Lions. If we can't beat them in 2 weeks, we don't deserve to compete in the NFL as we should kill Detroit next week. If there's ANY way we can win tonight, we could be 4-2 after week 6...

I hope our staff is smart enough to sit Tommie for another week or two. When feeling good, he is a beast. Idonije outplayed what Harris has done lately. Lovie, sit Tommie! It's looking like we can make a playoff push and a healthy Tommie Harris will go a long long way. We have enough average guys to fill his shoes right now, we don't need Tommie average.

on the practice squad. Check the roster. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/roster.html Peace

- The block by Beekman on Forte's TD run - a thing of beauty. Beekman has really suprised me. - The swing pass to Olsen that broke for about 25 yds. Great play call and execution. - The catch by Booker. Best I have seen by a Bears receiver in yrs. - The sideline pass by Orton to Davis for 34. May be the best pass that Orton has thrown this yr. - LaRocque getting a special teams tackle (I think his 1st as a Bear). Welcome to the NFL kid. Kudos to the entire team for an outstanding job of executing today. Here's hoping Nick Roach injury is not going to keep him out long. Peace

He has stepped up and is definately our #3 now. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear10.article Peace

Zack is back: With all of the injuries at the position, it came as no surprise Tuesday when the Bears promoted rookie cornerback Zackary Bowman from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Bowman was selected by the Bears in the fifth-round of the draft from Nebraska. He played in all four preseason games before being waived Sept. 2 during final cuts. He was then re-signed to the practice squad the following day. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=5249 hes awesome on Madden 09, haha... Say goodbye to that jackass from Tampa, only thing he knows is how to spell Brandon LLoyds name by chasing him all day

Figured someone ought to post this on this board. Seems the NFL has roughly 6-8 players, including 2 Saints, one of whom is Deuce, who've in some fashion tested positive for banned PED's and who are currently locked up in the appeals process.

I was looking at the opponents in 2009, and I know it's not even close to this season being over, but, next year we have: Rams Cardinals Browns Lions @ Bengals @ Seahawks @ 49ers @ Lions Pretty easy. Thoughts??

Link Get well soon Fridge.

Let's hope its good Rex. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear08.article Peace
