I thought this was interesting: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-footba...cting-trade-out Although it probably won't impact the Bears since they will likely still draft in front of them.

Since we have picked up a few FA do we draft for needs or for the BPA. I see needs as being at TE, (loss Bennett) and RB (loss Forte) CB/SS/FS ours are not really that great. Maybe LT if we feel Leno isn't the best option and maybe a DL. But surely we need to draft GAME CHANGERS not just BPA. K.Drake in the later rounds would be nice as he can do alot with his speed at RB/WR/KR. But I do feel that we should try to fill the production that we have lost and so do the staff....that's why we went after Anderson(RB) and Hill(TE)...so look for those to be two sspots we are going to draft a player.

In the event we don't got Elliott in the first, I can really see the Bears using a pick in the middle rounds on a compliment back to Langford. They have to feel pretty good about their ability to get good value in the middle rounds in RB after getting Langford, and truthfully most of the RBs taken in the middle rounds last year performed pretty well, so they can probably aim to catch a falling RB around the same area they took Langford and get a good complimentary back. My question is, what kind of back do we need as a compliment to Langford? He's kind of an in-between back. He's got the size of a between the tackles guy, but doesn't really run that way. He's go…

Went back and watched some of his film, dude can play. He's an athlete and when I read more about his off-the field issues, the bigger concerns are of him just being a unique spirit, not being a guy with a major issue. He did have one huge mistake, but he's a massive man who is immensley athletic. I'm not advocating taking him @ 11, but I am advocating him as a no brainer in the 2nd round (if he is there) and I'd go as far as saying I'd be willing to either move down later in the 1st (to get him) or move up from the 2nd to get him. This is a guy who could be a true game changer on this defense (something we sorely need and lack). If he busts, oh well, shoot for th…

If I were running the show I'd want to do two main things, and one supplementary thing: -Shore up the OL by picking a LT that can start day-one. -Pick long, rangy, athletic defensive players to infuse the team with some burst. *Use late picks on risks with great reward. Here's how I'd do it. 1. Ronnie Stanley, LT, ND (Bookend for a decade) 2. Artie Burns, CB, Miami (Shutdown corner. Perfect fit with great potential.) 3. Carl Nassib, DE, PSU (Love his drive, determination, length. Perfect 5T for the Bears.) 4. Dak Prescott, QB, MSU (The more I watch of him, the more underrated I think he is. He has great potential.) 4. Jerell Adams, TE, SC (Big…

With all the discussion lately around BPA vs. needs I'm curious to see what everyone views our top needs are heading into the draft. I tried to include all positions so this can be as objective as possible. In other words ILB is still listed even though we just spent $10mil to fix it. Even though I listed top 3 needs, if we get enough people to vote then from a statistics view point we should we will be able to identify and rank our top 5 needs. To do that I'll give every 1st place vote 10 points, every 2nd place vote 5 points, and every 3rd place 3 points.

What high risk, high reward players are you hoping the Bears take a chance on? A few that come to mind: Robert Nkemdiche Shawn Oakman Moretz Boeringer Rashard Robinson Any others that you're thinking about?

Can anybody explain the Sheldon Rankins love going on with people? I think he is a good player but does not fit our D scheme. I have seen several mocks having him being drafted by us in the first. Is he suppose to be Aaron Donald? His stats dont show that. Maybe he could be a smallish NT but with Goldman already here, I wouldnt understand that pick if we took him in the first.

Eagles get #2 and a 2017 4th. Browns get Eagles' 1st, 3rd, 4th, 2017 1st and 2018 2nd. I don't get all this movement so far in advance. I didn't get why the Rams would trade up to #1 and not announce who they were taking right away because they have to know if they are trading up there. I don't get the Eagles giving up so much to move up unless they know for sure which QB (I assume) they are going to be left with after the Rams draft. And I really don't get why this year seemed to start out as a relatively down year for QBs and now everyone is trading whole drafts to get Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. Maybe the Eagles are targeting someone else (Ramsey?), but every…

  17. Today on my facebook I've had an article talking about 5th round draft pick Johnny Knox and one about 6th round Patrick Mannelly. The point of what was posted was their rounds. I love them both as Bears, but they are both exceptions to the rule. I know the Bears have a lot of lower picks, but I mean really.... Are they going for a we got rid of of the Black Unicorn but you may get one of these guys kind of thing?

I am not saying I like this draft for the Bears. I do find it interesting as it is a recent 7 round draft with selections for the Bears that do not seem rubber stamped from the numerous mock drafts that have been posted. Hell, I do not even know half of the players on this list, LOL Reuter mock draft 7.0: Projecting all seven rounds The Bears Projected Selections: RD 1 - Ronnie Stanley - OT, Notre Dame RD 2 - Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas RD 3 - C.J. Prosise, RB, Notre Dame RD 4 - Yannik Ngakoue, OLB, Maryland RD 4 - Willie Henry, DE, Michigan RD 5 - Cody Kessler, QB, USC RD 6 - Briean Boddy-Calhoun, CB, Minnesota RD 6 - Antwaun Woods, DT, USC …

I have seen several draft trade scenarios and was going to give a post to list them. Everybody has viewed the trade for Wilkinson option. (which we wont be bringing in a 15 mil player) (not Paces style) Here is one I seen on ESPN; 5. Jaguars trade 1-5, Luke Joeckel to Bears for 1-11, 2-41, 4-104. The Bears are another team that could at least theoretically have an interest in trading up for Tunsil, given that their left tackle is currently 2014 seventh-rounder Charles Leno, but this is a deal where the Bears get to trade up and come away with a veteran left tackle, too. Joeckel has failed to develop in Jacksonville, but he was worth the No. 2 pick three ye…
