The Bears have sent contract tenders to exclusive rights free agents Nick Roach (above) and Marcus Hamilton, NFL sources confirmed. Roach started nine games at strong-side linebacker and finished with 40 tackles including a season-high eight in the final game at Houston. He's probably not a starting OG anymore, but he might just be a nice back-up on this team, especially if they move Williams to LT and sign Grubbs. They won't really have much OG depth then.

Chris Williams and Orlando Pace are rated so poorly on pass protection it's embarrassing. Pace run blocking rating at -9.0 has to make you wonder why the staff didn't make a move to Shaffer sooner and move Williams back to his more natural left side. I know a lot of people on here didn't like Lance, but Lance was a total stud for the Bears for a long time and was an all time fav of mine to watch. Wish he could have went out on his own terms but I'm glad he'll be covering the Bears!!! Lance, you are one of the all time great Bears and I thank you for playing the way you did on the field and for how you contributed to some extremely special defenses.

It is so weird seeing the media give Pace an A draft grade and praise his entire draft. This one feels different. Then getting Snowden as a UDFA is icing on the cake. I am still in shock but happy with how it turned out. The trade ups worried me but Pace made some great Day 3 picks to compensate.
