It is so weird seeing the media give Pace an A draft grade and praise his entire draft. This one feels different. Then getting Snowden as a UDFA is icing on the cake. I am still in shock but happy with how it turned out. The trade ups worried me but Pace made some great Day 3 picks to compensate.

Its been reported that the Vikings have locked up Peterson with a 7 yr deal worth approximately 100 mil and 36 guaranteed. This is a stupid signing for Minnesota. With the off week and injuries I looked at the 2014 draft. Walters has us drafting a CB.DT,then a QB names Fales from SJS. A west coast type QB: accurate, decent arm, some mobilty. Sounds like they got the positions right, the QB sounds interesting.

It's been announced that we will play the Ravens in the hall of fame game this yr. I think I saw it's slated for Aug 3. I like having that 5th preseason game with the new coaching staff and gives trubisky even more game reps

In re-watching the game I noticed an RPO that Fields missed on 4th and two. It was actually a beautiful play by Nagy and was perfectly executed by everyone but the rookie. The defender makes the play along the red line. Fields misses the read. If he pulls the ball and follows Ridley it's a possible TD. Look for this play in the future. Side note: Jason Peters is still a stud. His feet are amazingly agile for a man his size. He also had zero issues getting to the second level. Praying father time holds off one more year.
