This season is now all about figuring out what our young players can do and who fits into the future. Deon Bush has been out there the last couple games and now Braverman is reportedly about to get called up to the 53-man roster. You can certainly expect Hall to get back out there as soon as he's healthy. I wouldn't mind taking Porter off the field because he's no longer hustling. Kwiatkoski looked good on short yardage plays making a couple good stops. Above all, I was curious who caught that touchdown in the first quarter. I know alot of people deserve credit for today's win and some more then either. I just want to single them out and give them a lot of credit. Toub is a true professional and genious at his craft. The Bears continually have a great special teams, and that was a major factor in today. Knox, this isn't as much today, though he definitely contributed, I'm just in awe of his contributions as a whole. As a rookie WR it's hard to see time on the field for the Bears. He's not only earned his way on the field, but made the most of his opportunities. Many on this board, me included, felt that Pace had a great opportunity to trade down a net us a few extra picks. Seems like that opportunity was available at both picks and Pace stood pat. My guess is that got what they hoped for all along. Would you have drafted differently? On here, I've been echoing Angelo saying, "Wait for the bargains." Now that our bad offense has lost 2 starting lineman, 2 starting WR's (inevitably), our best run-blocker (Gilmore), and we still haven't replaced Thomas Jones . . . I admit I'm getting a bit anxious. At some point we will sign a good offensive guard that nobody has ever heard of. We'll draft an offensive tackle early. But that ain't good enough. We're going to lose Briggs & Berrian. Why not sign the best RB available? Any word on him? I know he was flying to Atlanta today . . .

I'm not sure you could put together numbers in a more meaningless way than Total QBR. Rodgers threw for 77 yards with an average of 3.5/catch, an incredible 10pts on offense, and he's ranked 11th in Total QBR. Since Poles was in KC, what cheap free agents could Ryan bring with him? WRs Brian Pringle and Demarcus Robinson CBs Chavius Ward and Mike Hughes S Daniel Sorenson None made significant money and Sorenson is the only one with age. Pringle has 4.46 speed and has gotten better every year. Ward is a better CB than anyone on our roster not named Johnson.

Down to a few days until Black Monday. I am ready to put an end to the season and see how devoted the Bears ownership is to selling their product to the greatest fan base in the NFL. I have to say I will not be satisfied with their actions unless they put a football mind in charge of all decisions. IMHO we have two overpaid corners doing nothing in the passing game. Sure they can get interceptions on tips and ball throw right at them but this bail and run scheme they play is simple not good. I have watched other corner like the Giants Webster and the Packers Woodson play right at the line on the WR and bump and turn and run with them. This causes two things, ! for the timing to be off on quick routes and 2 for the QB to hold the ball longer allowing the pass rush to get there to the QB. Yesterday Pace stated he was comfortable with Leno Jr as his LT. I suspect he means he takes another step on the progression scale to being better.
