Bearstalk

Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. Started by Wesson44,

Linebacker is a definite strength of this 2009 version of the Chicago Bears. Lance Briggs is a perennial Pro Bowler, Brian Urlacher is one of the better middle backers in the game, and newly named starting strongside LB Pisa Tinoisamoa has me wondering what the Rams were thinking in releasing him. Tinoisamoa (does this guy have a nickname yet) has quickly become a fan favorite. His speed and big hits have endured him to the fans, and his versatility (he played weakside LB in the past) could pay dividends in the long run. The three starters are great fits for the Bears scheme. Last year the Bears opened up with 6 LB's on the roster, and I expect them to do the sam…

we are approximately 9 million under the cap with next Monday as the deadline for applying future salaries to this yrs cap. What to do? - Sign Kyle to a long term deal? - Sign St Clair (FA after this yr)? - Sign Mike Brown (FA after this yr)? - Sign Brandon Lloyd (FA after this yr)? I was thinking on holding out on extending Kyle until the end of the yr (to see if he can maintain his level of performance) but it may be beneficial to extend him now and eat most of the cap this yr. Thoughts? Peace

Everyone was on their nuts for being 2-1- who gives a sh*t? They beat the frigging Chiefs and Lions. If we can't beat them in 2 weeks, we don't deserve to compete in the NFL as we should kill Detroit next week. If there's ANY way we can win tonight, we could be 4-2 after week 6...

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,102718.story No safety to be had in St. Louis By Vaughn McClure February 19, 2009 If the Bears were hoping to find Mike Brown's replacement in St. Louis, they better start looking elsewhere. The Rams slapped the franchise tag on free safety Oshiomogho Atogwe, as reported by the NFL Network. Atogwe would have been a top free-agent target, and the Rams had no other choice after not agreeing to a long-term deal with the defensive standout. Atogwe led the Rams with eight interceptions this season. The Bears' trio of Brown, Kevin Payne and Craig Steltz had seven combined. Other options might arise as fre…

Well guys after I visited TC last year,I like the experience and want to continue the trend of being able to try and report what I see to you. So here is the plan I will hit TC on Monday Aug 3 my B-day( The Big 50) depending on practice schedule times. I'll keep you posted and I will wear something that will make me easy to recognize. If you plan on being there that day let me know and we can meet and greet. I would feel very guilty if I didn't invite you guys to my Big Five O celebration at my apartment complex at 724 N Villa ave in Villa Park Ill on Sunday Aug 2nd from 12 noon until the 'Ol Man needs a nap. It will be in the courtyard and I have quite a few B…

This coaching staff is herendous. I wouldnt mind seeing all but Toub fired. How do u consistently repeat the same bonehead mistakes? And Lovie should check himself in at the Chicago Memorial Hospital for his Alzheimers'. He looks like a zombie. where the hell is Marc Bradley and Earl bennet? The sabercat(davis) has nothing but destroy the teams chance to win the last two games. At least those two guys can catch. Hey Orton, welcome to the Rex Grossman club. Nice pass to Gaines Adams. Also, try cocking your arm back to throw a pass with a little bit of speed on it. I dont remember once seeing you hit a guy that was 5 yards passed his defender. Forte was wide open…

I know everyone is pissed off, rightfully so, but let's keep it clean and stay away from personal attacks, political statements, or anything offensive (race, gender, etc). This is a time where we need to unite and come together as a fan base, and force changes within the organization. So let's keep it clean and provide some content other than "they suck." We are better than that.

You just summed up your sorry career. I am hoping you get cut tomorrow. You will never play in the NFL again. The whole stadium had no faith in you, and you showed why. How dare you go on National TV and talk about why u didnt win the starting job, you have absolutely no business being on a football field. Everytime you dropped back to pass i held my breath and you delivered. You seriously make me wanna vomit in my mouth. You cost everyone on the team a superbowl ring and now you brought your losing mentality to the table two years later. Goodbye and good riddens

I think the three signing w have so far are going to bring a new attitude to the team...with McPhee saying he is violent and Rolle and Royal being hitters (Rolle) and playmakers (Royal) things are looking up!! Now do we sign the Chiefs Parker...as he has played CB as well as safety and could be that nickelback we need with his 4.3 speed

  13. Hey everybody, I'm the head dj for a club on Bourbon Street called The Swamp, and seeing as I'm a transplant from Chicago, I want to celebrate the arrival of the Bears in style. That haven't been down in over 8 years, and it's high time Chicago fans come out and represent. (side note I have two friends who sold out the Bears and became Saints fans since they won the Super Bowl. While the Saints are my #2, they're NOT the Bears. These friends get ripped on constantly) I want to create a Bears headquarters so that all of the people know where to come party with me, while I parade around in my Walter Payton jersey, and white headband with blue blockers. I'm not tryi…

Hey guys I'm going to be on vacation during this week and brought idea of going half joking up with the wife. Surprisingly enough she likes the idea. It would be 1st game my boys would be attending. So I'm asking if anyone has tickets or knows someone that wants to sell. Would be looking at either needing 2 or 4. 4 would be best as we could all attend as a family. Thx guys

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...mel-tucker.html Lane gives some insight into how Tucker ran the D in Jacksonville. He is right, I can't name 5 players from that defense that ranked #6. In fact I can't name two (one name only because of Lane). Sounds like we are going to see a lot of different looks from our defense this year. Can't say results will be different but after a decade watching the Lovie 2 if nothing else at least it will have me wondering what we're going to do next.

This guy does a decent job breaking down Booker from the HOF game. It's almost like they are wanting Booker to practice the QB moving up in the pocket as if Sweat will force that response. Tell me what you see.

  18. A trade for an early 5th rounder. They got their guy who some expected to go at #122, at #144 so depending on the trade value, it seems like a great pick. It cost next year's 4th. So assuming they are a fringe playoff team, that pick is in the 120s for 144.

  20. from profootballtalk.com AUTHORITIES WON’T RELEASE BENSON ARREST AUDIO Posted by Michael David Smith on May 21, 2008, 10:22 a.m. EDT Law enforcement authorities are refusing to release an audio recording taken during the arrest of Chicago Bears running back Cedric Benson, the Austin television station KXAN is reporting. Assistant County Attorney Daniel Bradford told KXAN that the decision to withhold the audio “is based on the public’s desire to protect the integrity of the county’s investigations into and prosecution of crime.” But what about the public’s desire to find out whether the police are mistreating citizens? Benson has claimed he was treated…
