Anybody listen to the Ray Rice comments on his incident with his (now) wife. He talks about his lessons in life and about becoming a better person. He knocks out his wife on tape and drags her out of the elevator and down the hall. Here is the article refering to his press conference. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football...ticle-1.1803771 What a douche (one of Alask's favorite words). No matter what players do on the field, we are defined by our actions in life.

I'll be watching and recording the Senior Bowl. In particular, evaluating the big uglies on the OL. One I really have an eye on is Quinn Meinerz from a small Wisconsin school. Nasty OG with personality.

Since week 1 Cutler is 66-93 for 624 yards 8td's(1rush) I INT for a QB rating of 109.7 and comp pct of 70.9%. Its amazing how much the media was bashing him after the GB game and now all of sudden there tone is completely different lol.

At 6-3 202lbs and running a 4.4-4.5 we need him I think What do you think Three-year starter who established himself as one of the finest receivers in UNM and Mountain West Conference history...earned first team all-MWC honors as a junior and senior to become one of just three Lobo WRs to earn first team all-conference honors twice in a career, joining Terance Mathis (1986-87, `89 WAC) and Preston Dennard (1974, `76 WAC)...a complete wide receiver who was smart, polished, ran great routes and became a very sure-handed pass catcher...excellent "football" speed, running as well in pads as he did without...a tough, aggressive player who was not afraid to go across the …

I don't know if the Bears have ever had 3 top 30 WRs on the same roster. I think Allen is probably a little low and Odunze a little high (for a rookie) but regardless, this is impressive nonetheless. #12 - Moore #22 - Allen #29 - Odunze https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff-wide-receiver-rankings-top-32-ahead-of-the-2024-nfl-season

From chicagobears.com: "Looking back at the 2008 season, it seems Matt Forte got a whole lot of first downs for the Bears. How many first downs did Matt Forte pick up and where did that rank in the NFL?" Robin San Juan, Puerto Rico "Matt Forte tied for the NFL lead with 86 first downs, matching Washington’s Clinton Portis and Atlanta’s Michael Turner. Forte had 63 rushing first downs, and his 23 receiving first downs were surpassed only by Jacksonville’s Maurice Jones-Drew among NFL running backs. On third downs, Forte led the NFL with 28 first downs overall and 19 first downs rushing." For my own part, it seemed like every time I saw Forte run the b…

There isnt a lot left we can do in FAgency but some players I wouldnt mind seeing here. QBs- Fritzpatrick-McCoy RBs- MJD or Moreno FB- Kuhn, just to gab it in GBs ass for Peppers TEs-Keller or Daniels OL-Brian La Puente DE-Allen, not realistic but would love this, and move Houston inside on rush downs-Ayers---Phillips as a situational pass rusher DT-Sims-Carrington-Peria S-Clemons-we have numbers but no quality Our own-Bowman and Britton The rest of the way its about money but would be nice if we landed a couple of the better players left.

Now at first most say this is only Fantasy Football, but on the other hand, there is some correlation between stats and points. The Bears offense positions finished no worse than #12 at TE, and Defense comes in at a respectable #14. By position: Cutler - 11th Forte - 5th Marshall - 5th Jeffery - 7th Bennett - 12th Gould - 10th Bears Def - 14th Forte, Marshall, and Jeffery all made the Top 20 overall as well. If Forte, Marshall, and Jeffery finish in the top 10 of their positions, Cutler is easily a top 10 QB. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/2014-fantasy-...-204748821.html

A little more insight on our rookie ILB. These guys do a good job breaking down Kwiatkoski's skills defending the run. I still like this draft pick and agree with the decision to move up to take him. He's got at least one year to sit behind Trev and Freeman and learn, more likely two or three. If he gets on the field sooner I think he's already better at diagnosing plays between the tackles than any of the ILBs who took the field for us last year. The outside the tackle stuff like pass coverage will take longer. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2016/06/02/b...opping-the-run/

  13. I feel like this draft is going to be the most impactful draft since Payton and or the Butkus Sayers draft. The difference is the Bears' teams back then sucked. The Bears are adding to a 7-win team that lost 3 games they should not have, and now added two top 10 players. Comparing Odunze to guys like JSN and Olave, I actually prefer Odunze over those guys. He is going to learn so much from Moore and Allen. Bookmark this thread and come back next January when the Bears are playing in the playoffs.

After posting in Jason's "Best Mock I can do thread" about CBs I figured I'd just summarize what I see of the top CBs after watching film on Draftbreakdown. I'm copying what I wrote about Hargreaves in that thread. Among the top 4 CBs in this draft I could live with any of them. I'm just not confident grabbing one at #11. We could drop back to #20 and grab whoever is left and be just as well off IMO. That's kind of the way this draft is after the top 10 picks. Hargreaves... It's not necessarily size sometimes it attitude. Some guys just love getting into your grill and making you work hard. Others can do it but prefer to be off a bit and use their athle…

Rejoining Smith with Bears the perfect situation for Marinelli By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 1/16/2009 4:07 PM LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Rod Marinelli leans forward in his chair, remote in hand, staring intently at a big-screen television in his Halas Hall office while breaking down tape of the Bears defensive line. Spend a few minutes talking to the team’s new defensive line coach and assistant head coach and it’s clear that there’s no place he’d rather be. Marinelli interviewed with the Seahawks and Texans but couldn’t pass up the chance to work with Lovie Smith in a defensive system they learned together in Tampa Bay a decade ago. Rod Marinelli bring…

This was talked about in the off-season and then it got shelved when we went after big targets in FA. I"m glad to hear it's back on the table and hopefully something gets done soon. When this is done it'd be nice to see the Bears extend Amos as well. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/bears-working-re-sign-goldman-factor-linchpin-their-top-10-defense

I have no way of knowing if Nagy will be replaced as HC. I've given up trying to figure out what the 'brain trust' of the Bears are going to do. Below is a link to an article just posted to NFL.com giving a brief description of thirteen possible candidates for HC positions that might open up after this season, as well as a lengthy list of those to keep an eye on in the near future. I found it interesting. Nathaniel Hackett, Byron Leftwich, Patrick Graham among young NFL coaches to watch

It will come in handy on draft day. Interesting guys at 43 and 50: Laviska Shenault and Lloyd Cushenberry.
