Since were taking player projects that are athletic, I see Denard Robinson in our future, probably 5th round.

Let's face it guys, this Bears team isn't very good. Our QB play is reasonable and we have a solid young RB. But out O Line is old, beat up and not exactly great these days. Our receivers SUCK bigtime. On D, we can't tackle. We can't seem to play 3rd down either. At times, teams run at will on us and at others, we play the run well. Our special teams aren't very special anymore. Oh, and our coaches are so vanilla it makes me sick. But that isn't what this post is about. Our guys are our guys and I love them, regardless. And if a Packers fan said anything I've said above I'd beat him senseless... But with all of our obvious flaws, we're 7-6 and stil…

a pass interference no call on 3rd and goal, just now well after the whistle blows Clark is pushed and then thrown to the ground and no foul.... what has to happen to warrant a freaking penalty? Dose a Bears player have to get injured or killed? Such freaking BS. The first would have resulted in first and goal at the 1 instead at fourth and goal at the 4 we kick a 22 yard FG The second would have been an automatic first down, instead 3rd down and we have an incomplete pass and kick another fg on 4th down. Non calls hurt us as much as the bad ones do.

Considering that Slasson hasn't played center much in his career he did a nice job on short notice with one bad snap and one bad exchange. Charles Leno Jr wasn't a train wreck at left tackle and Omameh wasn't awful either. Kyle Long and Ducasse seem to be settling in on the right side. Going forward I hope our 3rd round draft pick is ready to start his career since Montgomery has a broken bone in his leg( tibia?) which is an extended period injury and may signal the start of the Grasu era, if not Slausson seemed okay and I like the thought of a center with size in the middle. He also seemed good at making the line adjustments and there wasn't the wholesale blitzers runn…

People are getting really worked up about the draft and the Bears relative inactivity in free agency, but don't forget, June 1st salary cuts are around the corner, and I expect JA to look long and hard at some guys cut at OG, QB, DT, WR, RB, and S. Remember, the season isn't over yet.

We have an offense that needs help. So what do you do as the GM. IMHO i would look what we have left in FA and get the cheapest but best player out there like Starks from Pitt,Scott from Indy or the Seahawks Locklear or the guy from the Chargers Olivera (or somthing to that nature) Then I would go drafting. I would get Clady(OT) in the first RD. Flacco (QB)in the second RD, Charles or Johnson(RB) in the third McGlynn(G/T) in the fourth, Hubbard or Hall(WR) in the fifth, six and seventh best player in those rounds. We might need to get and extra DT and FS too

Honestly, the game against the Giants was the worst performance by an OL in perhaps the history of the NFL. Let that sink in. The HISTORY of the NFL. If the Bears do not draft OL multiple times in the first four rounds, then it's the most incompetent front office in the NFL.

Last year, I screamed for two TE formations. This year, what I really want to see is a 3 TE package. Kellen Davis and Clark play TE off the OTs, while Olsen splits out. Lloyd is our lone WR, w/ Forte in the backfield. Just think about the potential w/ the formation, as well as the matchup problems it would create. (1) Our OL sucks, but we would provide the OL (whether on passing or running downs) w/ two additional/good blockers. (2) W/ Clark and Davis as the inside TEs, that likely puts Olsen on a DB, where he has size and creates a very big matchup problem. (3) Clark and Davis are both solid blockers, but also solid potential receivers. (4) Forte…

Hester didn't show up to TC today. (neither did Tillman, Kreutz, Dvoracek, and another player, but that's for another thread at another time). Thoughts??

So we can finally start looking hard at the offseason. 1. February 24th - March 2nd - NFL Combine: we should have a good idea how the players will be slotted after the combine and some pro days. Mock drafts on fire. 2. March 16th - Legal tampering period: We will see a flurry of activity starting around this date as players start locking in deals with teams, will the Bears sign a QB? Is Mike Glennon available? 3. March 18th - The official first day of the league year and the official Start to Free Agency. All the official announcements start on the first wave of free agent signings; teams have to exercise options by 4pm. 4. March 29th - April 1st - Ann…

In addition to the recent Cutler story http://www.theonion.com/content/news_brief...ource=a-section The onion seems to always be following the Bears. Anyhow, if you haven't read those below, they are pretty hilarious. Especially the new "look-like-shit" offense. I have no doubt over half the members who post here will be moaning and groaning, some totally ballistic, about the Bears selections. Happens every year, we all have our favorites, guys we want drafted, but unfortunately they are seldom selected. I just hope this year we can keep it all in perspective and give Emery a chance to prove his worth without making rash judgements saying he is a failure because he did not pick who we want and making selections he feels will be best for the Bears, this year and the future.

Not even going to mention all the bad things in this game but a few good things I noticed were. - Ogunleye is playing like he wants a new contract - Tillman looked pretty good for his first action of the season - Johnny Knox looks to be a weapon at different times throughout the game - Hester looked like a #1 receiver.

I like how Emery is filling out this roster. He didn't bite on restructuring veterans to make more cap space. He is following a plan even though us as fans want the right now satisfaction. By this time next year, we will have at least 7 picks to load up and our cap situation should be healthy were we can continue to add or sign our own. LB is a position we were in desperate need of. Williams and Anderson are on one year contracts and Briggs is getting up there in age. I called for Ogletree/Brown in my last mock, we couldve went that route. I am actually more pleased getting Long and two guys that were not much of a dropoff. Here's to hoping Emerys vision has some succe…

The Perfect Compliment for Matt Forte: Cedric Benson by ifuwannacrownem on Feb 13, 2009 6:41 PM CST There is no Denying that Matt Forte Gave us the best chance to win in 2008. He broke many rookie rushing records last season, as well as some receiving records. He also finished third in total touches behind the Vikings Adrian Peterson and the Falcons Michael Turner. Through the good, Chicago still managed to finish 24th in yards, 26, in average yards per carry, and 24 in yards per game. The aforementioned teams had the right formula to constantly pound the rock: a spell-back and the threat of a deep pass. The Bears however, had their backs against the wall, and…
