http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6170875.story Will Ta’ufo’ou was waived. The plan for now is using Adams in the backfield some. It's not to big of a deal to me since we rarely used a FB anyway.

By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 2/1/2010 12:12 AM LAKE FOREST, Ill. – New Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz loves the passing game, but he isn’t married to it. Known for his penchant to throw the ball in stints with the Rams, Lions and 49ers, Martz wants to operate an offense in Chicago that is capable of excelling both on the ground and in the air. Lovie Smith chats with Mike Martz following a 2005 preseason game between the Bears and Rams. “You do whatever it takes to win,” Martz said during a conference call with the media. “Some weeks you’re going to run it pretty good. The next week you’re going to throw pretty good. But it’s about winning.…

I love that response from Mr.Allen!!!!! Now the powers that be have stated the roster is not done yet and he also said that they are looking at safety in FA and the draft. So with that in mind who would be the best player for our defense?

When you look at what we have done so far to the team....we have basically just filled the holes we had last year that lead to our 8-8 record. Backup QB, RB the positions that went down last year that hurt the most (we got better at the two spots), we signed two CB to fill in for Bowman and Graham (i think we got better there too)we got Weems and Thomas to fill in for Hurd and maybe Knox. We got the Beast (Marshall) to take the place of R.Williams. Now we lost two DT and a saftey. So reason will have us taking those postions in the draft. This is what I see us doing....getting the best players at the position of need. I dont think we go OT/OG in the first but maybe the th…

Rolle expected to visit Giants Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 4, 2010 11:17 PM ET Antrel Rolle is taking full advantage of his head start to free agency. The latest: Rolle is expected to visit with the Giants Friday morning, assuming he doesn't sign a contract before then. Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel writes that Rolle was offered a five-year contract by the Dolphins. Chris Mortensen is hearing that the Rolle sweepstakes will come down to the Giants and Dolphins. (Even though the Bears were negotiating first.) Soon-to-be former Cardinals teammate Darnell Dockett has an idea what's going to happen. "I just talked to Antrell …

Why are we wanting to keep Hamilton again, I understand Roach but Hamilton? Bears | Roach, Hamilton expected to receive offers Mon, 16 Feb 2009 22:53:19 -0800 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears LB Nick Roach and CB Marcus Hamilton are expected to receive offers to remain with the team. Both players are exclusive rights free agents. To all my fellow fans who wanted Tillman to move to safety well looks like it's not going to happen. Bears | Tillman to stay at cornerback Mon, 16 Feb 2009 22:52:42 -0800 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears CB Charles Tillman will remain at cornerback. There had been rumor…

49ers paid Kapernick 100+ million. He is not living up to that contract....maybe Cutler and him can vacation together this off season Just thought this might cheer some of you up.

Jay Cutler is better than any free agent quarterback. The problem is he sucks and everybody hates him. So we could overpay for Mike Glennon. We can resign Brian Hoyer. There are a bunch of other mediocre QB's available--none of which would be an upgrade. If we take a guy at #3--it will be a reach and they won't be ready to play effectively this season. If we take a guy in the 2nd round--it'd be an even bigger project. We will likely do some combination of signing a bad QB and drafting a bad QB. Either way, for the immediate future, we are screwed at QB.

With Green Bay's loss today, they are pretty much eliminated from the picture. However, we have an up hill battle to climb to overtake the Vikings. Our next three games are fairly tough games, IMO, but the Vikings have a brutal 3 game stretch with Arizona, Atlanta, and New York Giants. The biggest thing holding us back from the playoffs are ourselves. In the past four games (including today), we have only played 2 good halves, IMO. Our first half vs. the Jags today, and our first half vs. the Rams. Hell, if you think about it, our last good game was vs. the Eagles (I don't count at the Lions as they don't count as a team). I am kind of amazed how we've won 7 games al…

Hanie needs to cut down on the turnovers and wel'll be fine. Some other thoughts: - Tim Jennings should not be starting. He should have had 2 interceptions today. Why isn't Graham getting consideration for the job? - I thought Hanie turned it around and I am happy he ended up with a positive performance. I love the drive at the end of the game and the fact he is not happy with his performance. - Lance Briggs is playing like an animal. I am re-thinking trading him at the end of the year and would possibly consider giving him 2 year extension. - Great game from Knox. Hope he can show this the rest of the year. - Gould is now 10-14 in his career ove…

Ok, you saw the title and rolled your eyes and sighed, thinking "didn't we say this about another guy?", lol! Let me start by asking, has Trubisky had a clean pocket all year? Has he had a running game all year? Has he had a TE all year? Nagy added to the complexity of the game plan without the benefit of crucial components and work in pre season games. Here's what I think he needs: 1) new OC, someone who understands running game and play action. Trubisky has shown good accuracy on throws under 20. Those can turn into huge plays with YAC. 2) stud TE, one that can run and block. A safety blanket like Jason Whitten is huge on 3…

Maybe this isn't that big of a deal. We seem to beat everything in sight but the NFC South. We will obviously now lose to NO despite how much we may be up by in the 4th. Let's hope that's it. And that we don't face to face any of them in the playoffs! How's that for Kool-aid?

With a win and a GB loss at New England we win the Division. If this doesn't happen, we will more than likely miss the playoffs. What a crazy year.

We are going to be a better offensive football team this year with Martz!!! Everything starts in the offensive line. Everything. They allow you to keep your defense off the field, to protect the quarterback, to do what you want to do on offense. When that’s established—which we’ll get done—then I think more than anything else, you get off the bus and really you are getting in a position to hit them right in the mouth.” Martz is known primarily for coordinating an explosive Rams offense that was dubbed “The Greatest Show on Turf.” Led by quarterback Kurt Warner, running back Marshall Faulk, and wide receivers Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, St. Louis boasted a …
