  4. Anyone else tired of Chalk Talk? I know it should be obvious that he works for the Bears etc, but he is Lovie-like in his political non-speak drivel week after week....the latest example: " know that there have been numerous theories on why the Bears are struggling offensively, but would you agree that inconsistency along the offensive line may be the culprit as it all starts with the guys up front? Chris Highland, New York The offensive line certainly hasn’t performed up to expectations, but I don’t see how you can single out five players when there are 11 on the field. Every player and coach on the Bears offense must share the blame for a unit that has…

Benson continued an aggressive approach to defending himself against charges of boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest by hiring a new attorney considered one of Austin's finest and most high-profile defense attorneys. Lawyer Sam Bassett already has interviewed 10 people who were on Benson's boat Saturday night when Benson was arrested on Lake Travis, outside Austin, and described, accordi…

More good news. OTAs and no hitting but still to have a bigger, stronger, and apparently quicker Wilson out on the field with Marshall and Jeffrey could turn into a great combination for us. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/...r-chicago-bears

Whelp, here's hoping Meredith is for real and White can stay healthy. If not the Bears just created another hole. So now you have questions at WR, an injury plagued TE, and 2 suspect offensive tackles. Not really creating a good environment for a rookie QB to succeed.

First off, let me just say this... I was pissed with Cutler's play this weekend too. And he has to get goddamn better or we're not going anywhere this season. With that said... Statistically Cutler is still a top QB in this league. Question what you want about how he handles himself during interviews or when you see him on the sidelines in the few shots of him we're shown, whatever. Facts are borne out by numbers. There's certainly room for improvement and he's got to get his head outta his ass on various picks but they weren't all his errors either. Marshall hasn't been 100% and he quit on one last week. This week on another of Jay's picks the Bears sideline…

The Bears are still weak at WR3, Edge2, and need at least another rotational piece at DT with the loss of Jones. For upgrades, Center is the most obvious spot not listed. So priority seems to be WR/Edge, then DT, then Center. If they stand pat, they have #9, #75, and #122 to address those spots. They have talked about a big drop off in talent in this draft (due to players staying in school due to NIL), so there are fewer mid level players available. I assume that is why Poles has not been shy to dump draft picks later in the draft. What would you rather see the Bears do (not what you think they will do) with the draft picks? Do you think it is better to get a …

I think we can all agree the Bears will not be taking RB and QB with our first pick. So here is a ongoing list of the top 10 minus those positions. M. Fitzpatrick B. Chubbs Q. Nelson These are the three I consistently see in the top 10 as I view a ton of moch drafts. I will expand this as I view more regularly on players in the top 10.

Alright so let me first say that I hate/never believe people when they say I had a dream about a draft and think its silly. Well last night I did indeed have a dream about our Bears and the key piece of that dream was my boy Jesse Williams. We were in the super bowl, down by 6, inside 2 minutes, and we had the ball 4th and 1 near mid field(against the Broncos FWIW). Jesse Williams was lined up as the FB (something he did at Bama a few times), he gets the ball, baits the D in to stop the run then BOOM hits em with a rugby type flea flicker back to Cutler who then nails a wide open Martellus Bennett for the go ahead TD to win the super bowl. Unrealistic to actually hap…

  18. On the draft trade chart the 7th is worth 1700. The 13th is worth 1150 and the 31st is worth 600 totalling 1750 deal would be slightly in our favour so we would gain the equilivant having the 26th pick in the 4th round. Or do you stay with the 7th because this player may be elite.

  19. Starting out the gates +10 seems a little high after a 9 pts win and GB's double digit loss. Oddsmakers still have no faith in this team. Can you imagine if the Bears win and head into an easier part of their schedule, 2-0 while GB sits at 0-2? That would be wild. If I go off Week 1s results, I would probably say the Bears win, but going off historical data, it looks like GB should win by a TD. So I am going to say Bears by 3, 27-24!

It's that time of year when some of us are spending way too much time looking at draft guides/highlights/etc. So inspired by the recent All Athlete Draft I saw posted, any other fun All "Something" drafts you can put together for the Bears. I can make a very credible "all Florida" draft with one little cheat that I actually wouldn't be upset with for the Bears: 1. Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida 2. Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida 3. Keanu Neal, S, Florida 4. Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida 4. Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida 5. Antonio Morrison, ILB, Florida 6. Jeff Driskell, QB, Louisiana Tech (but formerly of Florida) 6. Alex McAllister, OLB, Florida 7.…
