8th game this season that has gone down to the last minute. QB: Off day for Cutler. A lot of picks to like, obviously Smith is a great pick, but for some reason the Miller pick is sticking with me. The more I read about the kid, I am sold and think he will turn out to be a long-time starter for the franchise.

I read where Tyrod Taylor will not take a pay cut this year which will be a problem going forward for Buffalo. So I predict that they trade Taylor for a third round pick and trade up with us to get a QB. This feels like a must-win against a bad team. Flus teams normally win against bad teams at home, so this should be a win and some false hope. Then the remainder of the schedule hits. If the team that has (not) shown up for the last two weeks plays the rest of the year out, the NE game may be the final win. SF is getting healthy and SEA is not terrible. I would not be surprised with a 5-12 or 6-11 end of season record. Obviously they can figure things out and a team like GB may rest starters in Week 18, so the Bears could eek out another win or two to get to 7 or 8 wins, but that seems like the absolute ceiling right now. I have seen many areas called out, but to me, more than any other key, we are simply losing the battle of the trenches. Offense Atlanta is not a great run defense, but we made them look pretty dang good. Prior to playing us, Grant (GB) hit them for 83 yards, and Grant has sucked this year. Carolina tag teamed them w/ Williams and Stewart for about 110. Larry Johnson, who has looked old and tired, racked up 121, and even Jamal Charles got into the action for another 40. TB ran all over them too w/ Graham (116) and Dunn (50). Then we face them, and we watch Forte getting hit early and often in the backfield. He ended up getting 76 yards on 20 carries, but t…

I know it's just a preseason game but with so many questions (who looked better- Rex or Kyle?, how did Forte look?, how did Bradley look?, etc), I thought it'd be a good idea.
