Even though it isn't Bears related, its a pretty huge piece of news. Peter King is reporting that those close to the situation indicate that they believe the injury will prevent him from playing this season. Obviously they'll know more once the MRI results are back.

If Tannehill continues to struggle as he did with 3 INTs this past game I could see where Gase would want Cutler but Tannehill has a $10mil cap hit. The only way I'd see this is if Cutler is a FA and not getting starter offers. He will. There are no Day 1 starters in the draft class so I can see desperate teams like San Fran, Cleveland, Jets tossing something out there to get Cutler. Might be just a 5th Rd pick but if we're moving on anyway just take it.

From the sound of it, negotiations are picking up. The Sun Times is reporting Harris' camp has received a new offer from the Bears. Harris was supposed to meet w/ Rosenarce to discuss the offer. 5-5 Bears at 7-3 Packers. The Packers just lost to Indy while the Bears won the bye week. I don't have a good feeling about this one. The offense is beyond repair. I expect it to be a 2-3 score deficit, Packers 31-17. The defense has to defend against too many short fields and Skrine gets exposed time and time again. Rinse and repeat.

It appears that DePaul and Angelo had a decent relationship however, the relationship between DePaul and Smith was not the best. It appears that DePaul was instrumental in obtaining Jay Cutler and other notables as John Tait and Thomas Jones. So it appears that all the decisions are going to remain with two people to hopefully turn this team around in 2010. It's awesome we've inked Briggs. Yet our weakness has been offense, and so far the only thing we've done is dump 2 o-lineman, and lose our best WR to a division rival. Don't we have to bring a play-maker in here? Assuming we're only going to pay one (we still need to sign an offensive guard) would you rather have Michael Turner or Bryan Johnson? These are the two best available at their positions. I hope like hell we're able to land one of the two. No way we'd get both (or one for that matter.)

So much for no OC will want to work under a HC who might be on a hot seat. The Bears have 4 good names to interview. They all run a scheme similiar to what the Bears ran under Getsy. David Haugh thinks we should give it a whirl. What do you guys think? If it was Urlacher and one 3rd, I might consider it. Sure, Urlacher is still the face of the franchise and captain of the defense, but he has maybe 4 good years left in him while Boldin is right in his prime.

So who is going to win tonight? Who does everyone prefer? I like both teams really, love Baltimore's defence but San Francisco is a very solid and exciting team as well.... I have to go with Baltimore, they are veterans in the big games and the Ravens will be playing big for Lewis's last game.
