Rodgers wants out of GB?
Yes, Since I wrote that post, I am hearing more and more about how Rodgers is unhappy with GB for not commiting to a multi-year contract extension with a big pay boost. He's earned it. They just want to rework his existing contract for cap purposes. Unfortunately, GB is saying no way they trade him. Could be smoke screen. I have to believe for the right price, they might say yes.

Rodgers wants out of GB?
I'm watching NFL Network and there are several advancing the rumor. One can only pray. The Packer Nation would be so pissed. LOL Toasted Cheese!

Rodgers wants out of GB?
It's certainly a crazy rumor. I read on one site it was a completely false rumor and they discounted the rumor. Yet I read on another San Francisco has inquired about the price to obtain Rodgers. Interesting. I'd love to see Rodgers out of GB which means, (Murphy's Law) he'll retire a packer after 5 more MVP performances.

Hoge's Bears Mock Draft 4.0
NFL Draft 2021: Hoge's Bears Mock Draft 4.0 Of all the mock drafts I have reviewed, I think this one is one of the best. It has trades involved that are very realistic vs pipe dreams I also like the players selected. If this could become reality, I'd be excited beyond words Unfortunately, I doubt we'll come anywhere close to this predicted draft/

Bears looking to trade up for QB
Actually, on second thought, let me clarify. Before I start, I would still prefer a QB like Mond in a trade down late 1st early 2nd over Lance even at pick 20. Lance's inexperience brings up bile (Mitch) when I think of us drafting him. However, If Lance has good speed, athleticism against FCC, he will have the same speed against FBS. If he is capable of throwing accurately downfield against FCC, he will be against FBS. The problem is, will his receivers be as open? FCC and FBS are two different animals. However, the FBS is a totally different level than the NFL. So do we discredit a FBS player because he doesn't have NFL experience? So one can only speculate how a player might progress to the next level. That is where experience is important. Something Lance has a limited amount of. Thus the reason I prefer not to draft Lance.

Bears looking to trade up for QB
Agreed, which is why, along with his limited starter experience, I have been leery of him. Highlight films, by definition, never show the negatives.

Bears looking to trade up for QB
I just watch highlight films on five QBs (Fields, Jones, Lance, Mond, & Mills) posted on bearswire.usatoday.com Highlights of QB prospects the Bears could land in 2021 NFL Draft It was nice in that they had all five on one page,. I must admit, although I am leery of Lance, his tape was impressive. This kid is a dual threat. I don't know his 40 time, but he can haul ass. He pulled away from defenders chasing him I was also impressed with his downfield throws.

QB issues
If the trade was made when the Bears were on the clock, meaning we knew for sure the player we want will be available, AND, that player was one of the top five QBs (Who's last name isn't Lance) I'd be all for it.
-
QB issues
I hope SF takes Lance. He is one of the BIG 5 QBs I really do not want to see Pace draft.

Bears one of first teams to skip voluntary...
Seems to me, from this quote from ChicagoBears.com, that the claim that the Bear Players show a lack of motivation to succeed is completely false.

My Bears Draft Predictions
And No GM is sure that every 1st round pick will pan out. It's an educated crap shoot. While professing total conviction, they know the reality of the draft process. But no GM will admit it to the press. They will hold a news conference praising every selection. If for no other reason, to show support for that 7th rounder, hoping he will at least make the practice squad.

QB issues
Agreed, Lance scares me. I don't like to take any player, especially QB, who hasn't had extensive playing time at the college level. We seem to have a habit of picking players who have flashed "Blue Chip" talent for one year. The two we picked that I sat in front of my TV begging for us not to select that fit that description was Mitch & Floyd.

My Bears Draft Predictions
I think your spot on, however, on points 6 & 7, I'm sure you could say the same for all 32 GMs. I'll go one step further, if ANY GM didn't have total conviction on all his picks, he should not be a GM.

Bears looking to trade up for QB
The Jets received three picks: a sixth-rounder in the in this years draft, and a second-rounder and fourth-rounder in 2022.

Justin Fields revealed epilepsy battle
Fields has always been my favorite prospect for QB in this years draft. I honestly would not mind giving up two number ones to trade up for him. However, I think SF will grab him. So my wish will go for naught. Maybe a 2nd rd QB option will be available that is good enough to take a flyer on.

Bears one of first teams to skip voluntary...
Good Grief. I read a few days ago three teams opted out. I think Denver was one of them. Can't remember the other two. Now I read a total of nine teams have decided to opt out. There will be many more. If you don't like Nagy, fine. There are plenty of reasons one might think he should be replaced. However, IMO, this shouldn't be one of those reasons. (Personally, I think he deserves one more chance to right the ship.)

Miller still on the trading block
I have to believe the only way Baltimore trades Brown is if they get MAJOR draft picks in return. A 24 yr old pro bowl left tackle is going to require at least one first rounder + ????. Then when the trade is complete, what is it going to cost to sign him to a multi year deal to make sure he remains with us?

QB Draft Poll
I chose to go for Fields. Problem is, I think it will take #20, a 2nd or 3rd this year, and our first next year. Lance has limited starting experience at FCS level. Reminds me of MT.

17-game season approved
I can't remember what the 55/48 figures were before the "covid-year" Can you help me out? I'm too lazy to research it. BTW, I'm thrilled they got rid of preseason game and extended the season to 17.

Mock Drafts

Bears Free Agency 2021
According to an article on Bears.com Burns tore his ACL in August in training camp?

Bears Free Agency 2021
Excellent article! I couldn't agree more with the author. Dalton is certainly good enough to get us to the playoffs, assuming they retool the offense and field a top ten defense. Many want to write off the 2021-22 Bears. I'm waiting to see what else Pace does in FA and the draft before I go that far.

RT prospect Isaiah Wilson cut by Miami
No Way, No How. Just read the article on NFL.com. First round draft pick in 2020. Complete bust. Played 3 offensive snaps. Traded to Miami for virtually nothing. Miami cuts him three weeks later because his attitude still sucks. Could be one of the worse 1st round draft picks EVER. Miami Dolphins release former first-round pick Isaiah Wilson

Russell Wilson
I'd love Wilson as our QB - HOWEVER - I don't want to see the Bears give up our best players in addition to 2 number 1s for ANY Quarterback. That to me is a step backward. JMHO
