  1. So, you think Caleb Hanie is going to beat GB in GB????? No way, no how should he play unless both Kyle and Rex cannot. Rex has beaten GB in GB. Peace

Cost everyone on the team a SB ring???? You must have been watching the SB on a different channel. What I saw: - The defense didn't stop the run. - Turner gave up on the run for no reason. - No pressure on Manning. - Manning blowing an assignment and costing us 7. - Moose standing next to a db who just intercepted the ball and, instead of pushing him out of bounds, let him run free to an eventual TD. - Rex throwing 2 ints and fumbling a snap. Yeah, he was part of the problem. But he wasn't the reason we lost the SB. That's why it a team sport becuase it was a team loss. Today, he looked lost at times. his accuracy was off and he does not read the field like Kyle. He made an outstanding pass to Forte for a TD but also missed Davis twice and Hester for a TD. He will be gone from the team at the end of the yr. Peace
  3. Unfortunately, you have to stick with Rex. He has 31 games under his belt. We simply need him to play better. No need to worry though. Kyle will start this week - book it. Peace
  4. You know, what is the point to this thread? I am the last person to want to stand up for Bears88, but really let it go. If you don't like reading his posts, simply do not going forward. Everyone needs to grow up. Peace
  5. They spent an incredible amount of money this off season resigning their own which has been their pattern: - Briggs - Url - Harris - Hester - Grossman - Orton - Clark - A Brown - Davis Recently (last 5 yrs), they have been leaving approximately 3 million in cap going into the season to sign emergency players. Not sure why Angelo held the money this yr but he found a way to get the money credited to next yr so he should be complimented for that. Peace Peace
  6. The article clearly states we will be getting a cap credit of $10 million next yr since these goals are not achievable. No issue here. Peace
  7. Let's hope its good Rex. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear08.article Peace
  8. It's about time someone on the defense said something. Here is the most important part of article: Face it: If the Bears can't turn it on soon, they're not going to this season. Eventually, you are what you are, and talking about the way the defense played en route to Super Bowl XLI, or how it performed in 2005, is just that -- talk. Peace
  9. I was amazed during the campaign no one called him on this. If you know how to get him, then why the hell haven't you said anything until now. Peace
  10. Absolutely your prerogitive. My opinion is life is too short. He did make these decisions and does have to live with them. I, however, will not hold it against him. It's over and I am moving on. Peace
  11. This works out great for the Bears. We can apply this to the cap next yr. Peace
  12. Bush is gone in less than 3 months. The country has moved in a different direction. McCain's main problem being tied to GB and his party that has essentially been in control for the last 8 yrs. He can't vote with the President 90% of the time and then try to run as a change agent. I actually feel sorry for McCain. If he had been the McCain of 2000 he may of had a chance. Once he chose to follow the Rovian tactics, it was over for him. The outstanding speech he gave the other night was a glimpse of the John McCain that needed to run for President. Peace
  13. Then its time for Bennett to head back to the bench. I don't think he ever made the field on offense, but he was on kickoff coverage. He'll get his chance next yr. Peace
  14. Agreed 100%. Manning should take over on kickoff returns until Devin gets his head straighted out. Peace
  15. Too much money in our DBs now and they are not the problem. I would rather sign KGB to a minimal contract to see if we can light a fire under our DEs. Peace
  16. I appreciate you stepping up. Peace
  17. Hey, we agree. Al Davis is a joke. I can't believe the other owners keep putting up with his crap. Peace
  18. Thanks for the support but no need. I probably ripped into Lance in the offseason because he was being a selfish turd. I am giving him credit now because he has played probably the best of any of our defensive players. Peace
  19. Whatever. Peace
  20. A little history. Grew up in downstate Illinois. My stepfather's parents lived in St Louis and had season tickets to the Cardinals. Got to see Jim Hart, Jim Bakken, Terry Metcalf, Dan Dierdorf, etc play and, until the age of 20, I was a Cardinal fan. When I moved to Chicago in 1989, I started following the Bears. I had sworn off the Cardinals by then as they moved to Pheonix. So I have a different perspective on the 85 Bears. Looking at them from the outside, I always felt they should have won at least 1 more SB given the talent level. Further, at the time they won the SB, Ditka had the most experienced coaching staff in football. He had been set up to succeed. Peace
  21. Agreed 1000%. Guppy is the man!!!! Peace
  22. Brian Urlacher is no longer the best LB on this team. Further, he is an embarassment to the organization in front of the camera. If he is going to be an arse in front of the microphone, he needs to decline comment the rest of the yr. I am tired of his act. Hey Brian: stop being a turd, shut up, and play. Peace
  23. Personally, I think he was a great player and an average coach. With the talent he had, he should have won at least one if not two additional Super Bowls. In the end, he completely melted down in Chicago and was an embarassment in NO engineering one of the worst trades ever. Peace
  24. Exactly, he had his chance here and pissed it away. Who really cares. Peace

Agreed 100%. Given a whole week of practice, hopefully Rex can get his timing down with the receivers. No matter how bad I want Kyle to play this week to give us a better chance to win, this is a good week to sit. Maybe, he can be back by next week for the Pack game which looms large. So, let's see some good Rex and kick there arse. Peace
