  1. Flus has said having former players around is a priority for him. I'm glad to see a change in direction. Peace
  2. The first paragraph summarizes the article: This draft ended any confusion over the Bears’ objectives under new GM Ryan Poles and new head coach Matt Eberflus. They are embarking on a long-term rebuild, not scrambling to prop up the quarterback they inherited, Justin Fields, for the best possible short-term results.
  3. I'd be happy with 30-40 receptions, 400+ yards receiving and 4+ touchdowns. Peace
  4. I'm good with losing the 6th round pick for this. Poles showed he knows how to replace it. Peace
  5. I'm not sure they offer him a deal. He's a good player and a solid back but he doesn't fit his offense. Peace
  6. I'm good with 6 wins or less this year. I'm looking for a top-10 pick in 2023. That is where we will start trending up. Peace

They need 90s players for camp. I assume most will be gone by the first cut. I also like Sanborn and would love to see him make the final 53. Peace
  8. Finally. Wish we could have got at least a 2023 7th for him but It was not our fate. Peace
  9. Best available O-lineman should be the pick at 148 or 150. Peace

Poles was left a shit show to clean up. He said last night that you can't fix this overnight. It is going to take time. We need to give him that. Peace
  11. Good question. Just a hypothetical trade. Also, noticed I missed pick 148 so I will say 148 Melton and 150 Mike Rose. Peace
  12. My mock draft (based on player rankings in The Beast from Dane Brugler) - Trade 39 to KC for 50 and 62 - Pick 48 - Perrion Winfrey (DT, Oklahoma) or Tyler Smith (OT, Tulsa) - Pick 50 - Kyler Gordon (CB, Washington) or Christian Watson (WR, NDSU) - Pick 62 - Jalen Tolbert (WR, South Alabama) or Cam Taylor-Britt (CB, Nebraska) - Pick 71 - Cole Strange (OC/G, Tennessee Chattanooga) or Tyler Parham (OC/G, Memphis) - Pick 150 - Bo Melton (WR, Rutgers) or Mike Rose (LB, Iowa State) - Pick 186 - Smoke Monday (S, Auburn) or Jack Sanborn (LB, Wisconsin) - Trade Nick Foles to Jacksonville for pick 222 (Foles has a $4 million salary for this year - may have to eat part of it) - Pick 222 - Vederian Love (OT, Illinois) Peace

I'd give up a 6th rounder for him. That's as high as I would go. Peace
  14. This was stupid but it doesn’t necessitate anything more than Poles and Flus sitting down with him and making sure he understands that his actions reflect on the team. Peace
  15. Absolutely. Peace
  16. And we signed a fullback as well. I would UDFA is the only place we will grab one. Peace

Trade back a couple times during the draft and get us to 8 picks total. Trade Foles if possible and eat part of his salary to get a 6th rounder for next year. Do the same for Quinn and try to get a couple of picks for him (a 3rd rounder this year and a day 3 pick next year). Get as many picks as possible. That should be the goal. Peace

I think if the Bears are willing to eat some of his salary this year, they could get a better deal. They are rebuilding so why not. I would be good with a 3rd and a 4th or just a 2nd. Peace
  19. Greg Gabriel said Cruikshank primarily played Dime for the Titans and excelled at covering TEs. He thinks he'll get a chance to play SS for the Bears. Peace
  20. This is voluntary workouts. The first mini-camp starts April 19th. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-offseason-workout-program-dates-announced-ahead-of-2022-season-for-all-32-te Peace
  21. Time to move to the next option. It sucks but the Bears had little control here unless they were going to over pay, which is the last thing we want them to do. Peace
  22. I'd even eat some of Foles salary for that. Peace
  23. Bottom line: If they can trade him - great. If not, simply cut him. It's time to move on. Peace
  24. I believe it was 4 mil and I've heard it makes it easier to trade him. What team is going to want to pay out that bonus? Peace
  25. Thankfully, we did not sign him at this price. Peace
