This was stupid but it doesn’t necessitate anything more than Poles and Flus sitting down with him and making sure he understands that his actions reflect on the team.

Trade back a couple times during the draft and get us to 8 picks total. Trade Foles if possible and eat part of his salary to get a 6th rounder for next year. Do the same for Quinn and try to get a couple of picks for him (a 3rd rounder this year and a day 3 pick next year).
Get as many picks as possible. That should be the goal.

I think if the Bears are willing to eat some of his salary this year, they could get a better deal. They are rebuilding so why not. I would be good with a 3rd and a 4th or just a 2nd.

Greg Gabriel said Cruikshank primarily played Dime for the Titans and excelled at covering TEs. He thinks he'll get a chance to play SS for the Bears.

Time to move to the next option. It sucks but the Bears had little control here unless they were going to over pay, which is the last thing we want them to do.

They have 50 players on the current roster. They have to have 90 at training camp. With 6 draft picks and probably 10 to 15 undrafted players, they will still need to sign 20 free agents. We are only a week in. Let this play out.

Two words - Pernell McPhee. Pace signed him with a known issue and it bit us in the ass. I have no issues with Poles backing away from the signing. Use the money on a LT or a WR.

Sorry to see this happen. Glad we found out now. They signed Jones right away so he had a backup plan ready. I assume that opens up some money for a few other players.

I don't know if we save anything but my understanding is he can't pass a physical at this point. I wish him all the best going forward but it is time for the Bears to move on.
