  1. This part right here. I want to win a Super Bowl. Winning a couple of meaningless games at the end of this season does nothing to help the team win a Super Bowl. Getting higher draft picks, however, has a real potential to help make that happen. Peace
  2. As of now, winning one more game would get us the 6th pick (unless other teams win as well). The only winnable game I see on the schedule is the Minnesota game if they have nothing to play for and rest their starters. Peace
  3. I was at the game as well. Our seats are in section 149. Agreed with everything you said. I also would note Santos looked bad in practice before the game and at halftime. I knew he was going to miss at least 1 kick in the game. Further, I thought Blackwell played a heck of a game. I think he's a real find for this front office. Peace
  4. If Peterman starts it will be a bloodbath. Expect us to run 30+ times with Montgomery and Evans. It will not be an opportunity for the WRs to showcase themselves. Peace
  5. Agreed. There is no downside to playing him now. In fact, it's best to find out now if he has any value. Peace
  6. Agreed and I'm going to the Packers game. I certainly do not want to watch Siemian play but it makes no sense to risk the health of Fields. Peace
  7. Spot on, Jason! They just need to keep doing what they are doing and be ready for the offseason. Any wins right now do not help the team moving forward. A top 5 pick (in almost every round) helps the team immensely. Peace
  8. Way too early IMHO. I would say we should give him until the end of next season. Peace
  9. Soldier Field was rocking yesterday. Fields was simply fantastic. I can't believe how awful the officiating can be at times but the loss will actually benefit us at the end of the season. It's just great to see Justin break out. His development is the #1 priority this year. Peace
  10. Roquan was not coming back here next year unless tagged. The fact he doesn't have an agent makes it extremely difficult to negotiate with. Further, he plays a luxury position that the Bears cannot afford to pay 20 million a year for. I wish him well but am glad he's gone. Peace
  11. It was our 2nd rounder but I have no issues with this. They needed to get Fields help and Claypool is an immediate piece you can plug right away. His presence makes all the other receivers better (most importantly Mooney). Peace
  12. I love this trade. Wish we could have got a little more but clearing room in the rotation for Robinson and Gipson to get more reps is huge. The cap space going forward is an extra bonus. Peace
  13. All of this. Poles inherited a complete dumpster fire. I had absolutely no expectations for this year. As a STH I am just glad I was able to witness a win in person (Houston). I don't expect to see another one (maybe Detroit). My only concern for this year was answering the Fields question - is he the guy going forward? At this point, I think we may have to push that to next season. Peace
  14. Take the best 3-tech DT on the board. Peace
  15. Chicago is not going to get a 2nd team - no way, no how. Peace
  16. I'm never really had an issue with Ted other than he was in a job that he wasn't qualified for. That's not on him, however. The McCaskey's promoted him. They own all the issues we've had these past 20+ years. Peace
  17. No way they go into the season with just 2 TE on the roster. Peace
  18. Young is probably done in the NFL. Peace
  19. The Kansas Comet. I can't wait until the Bears open their own HOF. Peace
  20. I'm to the point where I say you make a final offer and tell him take or leave it. If he says no then trade him and move on. He's a very good LB (not a great one) and is not worth the headache. Another note - You can see Eberflus is to the point where he doesn't want to deal with this anymore. I actually feel bad he's the middle man on this. Poles needs to tell the media that all questions about Roquan will be addressed by him until the contract situation is resolved. Eberflus needs to concentrate on the players he has available. Peace
  21. He said it was a take it or leave it offer. We actually have no idea what has been said or exchanged. The major point is he shouldn't be negotiating. He should have an agent. You also note he has no leverage here. That is the most important point. They'll eventually reach an agreement. Peace
  22. How do you know he's gone? I would say it's probably 75%+ he stays. This is a negotiating tactic - nothing more. That being said, he really needs an agent. You can't take this personal - it's business. Peace
  23. Connorbear replied to Stinger226's topic in Bearstalk
This sucks but it's early enough where he can be back by the regular season and it gives Kramer a chance to get a ton of reps. Peace
  24. Fxxk!!! This crap pisses me off to no end. Hopefully, the holdout doesn't last too long. Peace
