It was an automated mock draft, can't knock it unless you try it and share. You always try and take the value presented by the rules also, you did well.

I would target Osemele and Trevathan first. Fills two biggest needs. Next target would be Jackson or Howard at DL. Re-sign Porter at CB also. Pray the draft falls our way. Stanley, Jack, or Buckner in the first or a trade down and take Smith.

I never said they were old, just veterans. I agree they need to mix rookies, especially at the OLB position. With McPhee and Houston signed long term, Young with this season left, they should bring in a later round rookie to groom. If they decide to find a 4th OLB in FA, then they would have too much $ tied up IMO.

I am not on board with bringing Long in. We have 3 vets at OLB, time to bring in the future. He is too small to be a down DL in a 3-4 also. Cook, I think he is talented. Put him on a NE/GB offense and I think he can put up numbers. With him now in the TE FA pool, the TE price should go down just a little. Laurinitis, he is another guy with talent. If we miss out on Trevathan, then schedule him in as #2 or 3 guy to call.

A draft that has Stanley, Smith, and Kearse is like a beautiful woman walking by(no harm intended to females). First see Stanley, the chest, Smith the face, and Kearse the backside as she walks away. If Floyd is viewed as Von Miller or Aldon Smith, bring him on. I think OLB is a 6th rd pick with who we have under contract but would not be opposed if the right talent falls.

I believe they will release Talib and ask Ware to restructure to keep the young core intact. If Ware does not help out, he may be released also.

I keep looking hard at Jaylon Smith and hope they can get an offer from a team around 15, gain an extra 3rd, and select him. I think in the long run, he will be a bigger difference maker.

As the offensive quality control coach, he will be watching film to prepare the offense two weeks in advance, possibly run the scout team, and working mainly with the Offensive coordinator installing the game week offense. He will have more hands on with Fales. Maybe he has learned a thing or two from Josh on "spygate" and preparing the team to be a step ahead of the opponent.

I don't think having more cap space is all that good to be honest, we are already 3rd with 60 million. The Bears are one of the top teams with the least amount of players under contract also, maybe 5 teams with fewer. The Bears are also one of the highest in terms of having dead cap space, with 6.5 million this year, that is a star player "dead". I think they would have informed and released any vets early like they did with Bushrod if they were planning on doing so. I do not see anyone else getting released until they sign a replacement.

Still have a hope for Perry. Ervin is in the same mold, but has stats. Conferences may have a little to do with it, but Ervins numbers are very good. 2500+ all purpose yds to Perry's 1000 all purpose on their best season. Ervin in round 6-7 would be nice as a late rounder.

I think he rises some if he puts up a low 40. I haven't seen this video before but it gave me Hester impressions but with a real position. They even list him at 202, which if he weighs closer to that will also improve his stock. Would the Bears spend a 5th on him? Fox likes his RBs in all shapes (Hillman 5'9" 196) Pace helped bring in Cook for the Saints (5'10" 185), who is also similiar in size. Forte opens the door for another RB As for the DB, he looked like be had good size also.

My late round flyer (6-7th) would be San Jose RB Tyler Ervin. He will get some name recognition at the combine with his speed. His size is not really NFL caliber to be an every down back, but as a ST'er or 3rd down guy, and slot wr, I think he can do some good things. Tyler Ervin 5'10" 177 Percy Harvin 5'11" 184 "As an athlete, Ervin is one of the most explosive players in the country" "Defenders left in space one-on-one have little or no chance" Bring in a "wow" guy to mix in some on offense.
