I know right? And BTW Butkis short slants are the linebacker not getting into pass coverage fast enough. A couple of times they were blitzing so that is just what you give up. Blitzing is a gamble. You are taking people out of their coverage and gambling that they will get to the QB.

I actually disagree about the coordinators. Both had plans, stuck with them, and ran them well. Good enough for me.

Are you for real dude? The defensive game plan was good. He blitzed(which he gets ripped for NOT doing). They got pretty good pressure throughout the game and one of the TD's was on Hester's moronic butt. The ONLY thing that can be criticized for the defense were the DB's at times were in bad position.

And as far as Booker is concerned, its been several years since he even came close to the #1 receiver status. He is just lucky that he came to a team whose coaching staff values reputation more than actual production.

Unless you are one of the top players at your position, I dont buy getting a pass for the pre-season. Booker better be productive in the first couple of games or I think it was a mistake to keep him over Rideau. And I am a fan of his from before. But he has hardly done anything recently so I think he has alot to prove. Same with the defense. I dont think you get a pass coming off of a season where you were ranked 28th. So I hope they are going to "turn it on" or whatever switch they think they are going to flip.

This is exactly why I was hesitant to give so much money. The guy is injured quite a bit. Great player when he is not, but he is injured too much to be the highest paid DT in the league.
