  1. lol Been here before. Compare the TD to INT for both sir. Comparable. In fact Rex is -2 in his career and Orton is -3 sir. Check out the stats. Their numbers are almost the same and slide slightly toward Rex in most major catagories sir. Rex is better in rating, percentage, and average per completion sir. And in that magical rookie year of 2005, Orton threw 9 TD's and 13 INTS and fumbled 6 times sir. Quite the game manager sir. And sir, when your offense can't move because your QB can only throw short passes, skips midrange passes and underthrows long passes, one pick is certainly the end of the world. I appreciate the potato chip reference sir.
  2. If it was just Rex then I would agree. But it hasn't been. Its been every qb. And dont get me started on how crappy Kruetz was last year.
  3. Again, every qb on the roster has been fumbling snaps. If every qb has been doing it, I blame the center.
  4. Yeah, but who cares when Kyle bounces it to the receiver.
  5. To be fair, up until today, Kyle has also fumbled snaps, as have the two rookies. So if all the qb's in camp are fumbling.....where does the blame fall? It might be the back up center too.
  6. Yeah, I'm always hesitent to pay a guy on what they haven't earned. And he hasn't earned WR money yet.
  7. If he is getting 5 mil +, he better learn how to be a WR quick or keep getting 8 returns for TD a year.
  8. lol yeah. You guys need to get rid of the "good ol boy" at the head of the table.
  9. I know right. Seems to me the kids from the U do pretty well in the NFL. suls is just hating
  10. Seriously???? This dude makes all this noise and then shows up hurt???? No wonder he wanted his money up front.
  11. I tell you what. I totally agree. In these clips of practice, Davis looks nice. He may be another draft pick who the message board all stars hated and turns into a nice steal (i.e Hester)
  12. lol If thats the case Mad, then both will win/lose the same number. Rex can't lose those games and Kyle may need to win some for the team. I have been watching the clicks of the sportsfansnetwork on youtube and to me its the same issues. Kyle's innaccuracy is still an issue. Receivers are waiting for balls. DB's and LB's are able to make plays because of ball placement and timing. Rex hits these guys in stride, especially on the deep balls. His mistakes seen to be on the mental side, not being on the same page as the receiver. Etc. You can see the difference on the deep touchdown to Rashied. Rex hits him with a beautiful ball in stride so he can run for the touchdown. Kyle underthrows him and he has to catch it in traffic. I hope one can figure it out.
  13. "In fact, sources say the Bears already have offered to make him the highest-paid returner in league history, with incentives to pay him significantly more if he continues to develop as a receiver. " Seems fair to me. Make him earn it. It also says in the same article that if he doesn't report by Aug 5th he will have to play another year before becoming a free agent.
  14. Maybe Moron is too strong a word, but paying someone for what they are not isn't logical to me. If he wants #1 money let him earn it the next two years.
  15. Then JA is a moron. Its not too bright to tie up that kind of money into someone who hasn't proven it on offense yet and only is great on ST. Teams could and have made it very difficult for him to touch the ball at all.
  16. I always love the new seasons because in my mind, we will be all world and go undefeated. lol Until preseason games start.
  17. Good. I just saw the little updates and about threw up.
  18. I would agree with the too green, except that he was a 5 star athlete in high school. He couldn't even grasp a high school position. He was just so fast they would line him up where ever and get him the ball. The bottom line is that he is not very smart. He might have a learning disorder or whatever but this is the NFL. We dont have time to give him all this cash and then wait for him to develop into Marvin Harrison.
  19. 1. I think Hester provides alot. I also think he is overvalued because of the offense team he is on. Two years ago when the offense was rolling nobody was calling for him to be the MVP of the team. Now last year, the team is not very good and he is putting on a show, now he needs to be the MVP and get his big money. Really he should be happy he is getting paid as he is, because he was projected as a 4th rounder. JA reached for him and two years into it he wants to redeal. Sorry. Prove yourself at WR. 2. Seriously??? Barry Bonds vs Hester. First of all different sports. Try comparing Walter to Hester. No comparison. Second of all, Barry is a hall of fame player who has broken numerous records, has a lifetime average over .300, has had 40/40 seasons, won gold gloves, and took roids. Hester just completed his second year in the league and, for all intensive purposes, is a one trick pony. Check back in in ten years and if Hester has returned 8 TD a year over a 12 year period then I will give this one to ya. 3. I think the point is who cares if you have a punter who pins with a defense who gets rolled. Would you trade that punter for defense help? Who cares where the offense starts if they aren't going to score? A front line WR would be much more valuable than Hester at this point. You have people on the other thread stating they would trade Hester for Chad Johnson and a first, second , and third. Are you kidding? Chad Johnson alone would be a steal and help the team much more. I would be just fine with Vasher returning kicks and Chad in the endzone.
  20. I was just browsing though the colunmists blogs for the papers and caught that Williams hurt his back and walked off under his own power. Not good.
  21. I think a question that needs to be addressed is why such a dynamic player could not come to a position in college. I follow Miami pretty closely and they tried him at DB, RB, and WR. He could not learn the plays and coverages. Its as simple as that. Return man is pretty easy. Handle the ball and run around. The only use for Hester is Indy would be as a return man. There is no way he could learn how to read the defense to be effective for Manning. You guys saw him last year. If he is not running straight, or just has a couple special plays, then he has trouble. You see sometimes he doesn't know where to line up, and the Bears offense is not the most complex by far. After thinking about it, trading him at the peak of his value might be a good move because its looks like to me, Hester and his agent pretty much his production will go down. Teams are going to kick away from him more and more. Especially with this offense. And I have serious questions about his ability mentally to handle a starting receiver spot. It looks like he is trying to cash in while the cashing is good. Why else would he decide to hold out the year when he could be showing that he deserves big money?
