Great point about Green and character concerns but, with Grady Jarrett, Billings and Montez Sweat as established players on this team, the bears are in a much better position to take a chance that the veterans in the locker room will handle youthful immaturity.

Today's smokescreen has Graham's stock slipping and having him available at 10. This along with Campbell's stock dropping are what I just heard on both the Score and AM1000. Supposedly this coming from Albert Breer.
-
Campbell is more of a LT than Membo because he played the position as a true freshman for 3 years in the same conference as Membo who played 94 percent of his snaps at RT. The only knock on Campbell is short arms and Membo is being projected to LT because of his Combine workouts.

I push back a little with the fact that Josh Mc Danials being his OC and he usually doesn't embrace a feature RB. This the guy who didn't extend Josh Jacobs.
-
Reports are swirling around the possibility that Derek Carr may need surgery and be out indefinitely. With the Saints at the 9th pick that puts a QB in the mix at their pick.
-
The real variable is that it seems Ben Johnson is precise on what he wants and his DC Dennis Allen is as well. We are in gray area similar to when Poles first got hear.
-
Josh Conerly is my target because, I believe they may be going different from what we all think and the offseason so far has proved that there's a new approach. I'm thinking Shadeur Sanders is the wild card in the first round. If he goes in the top 10 or is on the board at10 anything goes.

10. Kelvin Banks Jr OT Texas- I think there needs to be competition for both Jone and Kiran 39. Quinshon Judkins Ohio St, RB- Swift is not an every down back and Johnson can't avoid concussions with his running style. This prospect is a tough inside runner and a beast in pass pro. 41. Mike Green Edge-Sacks are scarce and the Bears need serious competition at this position, his stats in college are impressive. 72.. Elijah Arroyo TE Miami I have watched this player practice at the Senior Bowl and he was a matchup nightmare. A toy for Ben Johnson. 148. Malachi Moore S Miami- an aging Byard and a concussed Brisker tells me the Bears need depth at the position 233.Jimmy Horn Jr WR Slot Colo -unless DJ Moore Or Odunze is going inside, this is competition for Tyler Scott 240. Eric Gregory DL3T Ark - his listed size and weight say 1 T so a student for both Billing and Garrett This is my first swing at a mock this offseason and I will probably do 1 more before the draft. I'm a Dinosaur, so I actually use Big boards and my actually watching the players play during their season as my reference.

I have been here for quite a while and I feel bad that I have not been as active as I should be. I apologize!

One interesting comment from the Titans defensive coordinator is that they plan on press coverage against the Bears WRs. I really want to see that because I think our receivers against man coverage is an advantage in the Bears favor.
-
It looks like the defensive momentum from the second half of last season, has continued so far. They have looked like they are emphasizing ball hawking. My only concern is that on some of those DB blitzes, they should go for a strip of the ball.
-
With a 2 TE set being a staple of Waldron's offense Odunze will be hard pressed to hit those marks especially with Moore and Allen also seeking targets.
-
I'm wondering if he will be utilized on kickoffs because of the new rules.
-
The behind the scenes look at the Bears war room was very cool to see and the comments Poles was making on the second day of the draft about " The Punter" and going back in to get Booker was very good to see because it looked as though he executed his draft plan on both days.
-
I thought there is a rule that you cannot negotiate an extension before the end of year 3of a rookie contract. That means the Bears would still have year 4 plus the 5th year option at their disposal.
-
When it comes to Andy Dalton and Nick Foles in both of their previous stops before coming to the Bears it was determined that both wouldn't do well with young QBs. The Bengals got rid of Dalton before they drafted Joe Burrow and the Eagles felt compelled to release their Super Bowl MVP because there was reports of a divide in the locker room about their first round QB Carson Wentz.
-
I like the Illinois DT Randolph.
-
How about that '83 draft Covert, Gault, Duerson, Bortz and Dent ? Two HOF and all starters plus Thayer was in this draft but went to the USFL.
-
I'm hoping for Bralen Trice at 75
-
I truly believe that we will not know what is going t change the draft until the 3rd pick is made.
-
My no trade Mock: 1. Caleb Williams USC QB - Both sides seemed to be locked in so much so that Caleb is on X saying he is a big fan of Rome Odunze 9. Rome Odunze Washington WR- This is the presumptive first pick's public choice but, if the top edge rusher is on the board , I'm grinding my teeth. 75. Bralen Trice Washington Edge- I like how tis player played in the CFP semifinal game against Texas putting pressure on the QB and setting the edge against the run. In the championship game it looked like Michigan schemed to minimize his production. 122. Sedrick Van Pran OC Georgia- with the moves that the Bears made in the offseason , the center position is still a mystery. So this is a pick that is insurance and long term continuity . So far Doug Kramer has not panned out

I'll say from 4/5 to 8. There is not going to be any punishment levied this close to the draft.
-
I wouldn't trade up for MHJ. I also believe that Nabors or Odunze will be available at 9. Minnesota did not acquire two first round picks to stay back and wait for a replacement for Cousins. I believe 4 QBs will go in the top 10 and maybe the top 5. That number 4 pick is where the most likely spot for Harrison to go. AZ already having 2 1st rounders may be tough to move of 4 but, the Chargers with a new HC and GM may be willing to deal as well as NYG at 6. Tenn at 7 and ATL 8 aren't WR spots. Poles has made 21 picks in his 2 drafts and I'm okay with him staying with 4 picks and will consider Sweat, Allen and Bates as part of this draft.
-
Extremely excited for this draft even more than others even though I have my annual vacation this week. I actually plotted my time to be off the entire draft. Really excited to see what happens at pick #9.

I have read so called Bear fans comments on several other pages Sports Mockery, Bearswire, Windy City Gridiron etc. and I have never seen a more negative group. There are still fans expecting Poles to trade the top pick for a draft haul. I can't help but laugh. This is one of the most unique draft scenario of my lifetime. Never have the Bears had a chance to draft the consensus number one QB and get a player with the confidence that Caleb Williams has. The only Bears QB I remember this confident was Jim McMahon. I'm all in and will cheer like Hell for this QB just like the rest.
