ESPN is reporting that Dante Fowler Jr has suffered a knee injury at rookie mini camp. Exact details have not been disclosed.
-
In their defense I wonder how much they partied prior to coming here and in Fabaluje's case maybe he starved himself so he could make a decent weight.lol

If it is not a big deal then why year after year are the Bears the first to get this done every year. What we need to hope for is that he is on the job for a long time and we can have this annual thread where it seems some of us don't remember Benson's holdout or Williams late signing under sweaty Teddy. When it comes to the offseason this is one of the things I like to not have to worry about since in another thread I was able to post all the dollars that was available for each pick at their draft position.

AM 1000 reporting that Goldman and Fabaluje didn't finish drills today at mini camp. I must admit that it is extremely humid and hot here today and that may have been a factor for these 2 big boys.
-
Its simple if they feel he is going to be a fixture at OT, why not try to extend him quickly to retain him before it gets to the market where he would be in big demand and try and recoup losses from this unfortunate incident that caused teams to say hands off.

In 2012 6 WRs were drafted before Alshon Jeffrey so you never know! Justin Blackmon Michael Floyd Kendall Wright AJ Jenkins Brian Quick Stephen Hill Alshon Jeffrey 45 Ryan Broyles Rueben Randle Devier Posey TJ Graham Mohammed Sanu TY Hilton 92 From this list of the first 3 rounds of WRs drafted in 2012 Jeffrey and Hilton are the top 2 so far imo. So I like White's chances to succeed with a veteran like Jeffrey who had Marshall to show him the way like Hilton had Wayne to tutor him.

The cool cutsie stories end this weekend and its put up or polish up your resume. We seem to have a collection of bodies at that position so he needs to stand out in this weekend's mini camp.
-
Last year the end all be all was Jadaveon Clowney. How did that end up? When these players are deemed the number one overall player in the draft lots of times (Mandarich) these guy fall short of that lofty title(JaMarcus Russell). Then factor in he is from USC and then you start to wonder about all the previous top talents allegedly from the same school and how they fared in the NFL. Bush.Lienart(sp?),Barclay, Mays, Perry and Malauga. These guys all came out very hyped and to this date have not lived up to that billing just sayin'.

Sc I agree with you I was just pointing out how I interpreted your post. Not busting your chops. I feel that once a player establishes a level of play he is held to that standard from that point moving forward. Any drop of in play should be viewed as a regression, similar to how we view Tillman ,Briggs,Jennings and even Bushrod. Foster is a league veteran who established a standard for himself in 2013 according to your opinion and you have stats to prove it. With the deal he signed here and the fact that his play dropped off he is also one of the "prove it players" on this team.

White $3,011,463 Goldman $1,033,875 Grasu $625,480 Langford $570,906 Amos $493,070 Fabuluje $467,841 Total $ 6,202,636 is the Bears total draft pick allotments.

Was Willie Young a play maker to you prior to his injury?
-
Regardless of how you used it 2013 is now going to be 2 years ago and if you truly are talking about potential then what he did in another scheme in the past, should not come into play and what he can do from this point going forward is what you said this thread is about.
-
I'll throw in that he was coached by Jim Mora Jr that was a former NFL coach and NFL defensive coordinator. That should help some.
-
So the Bears get Amos for Marshall and Zack Stacy who the Jets acquire with the Bears 7th rounder.
-
Reread the last sentence of your post. You contradict yourself. You talk about potential based on the past.
-
The problem for them is the same for us the quarterback has limitations.
-
OK Hub the kid sues the NFL to get in the Supplemental Draft and do you believe a team would give up one of their draft picks for a guy that sued the league? He signed documents up the wazoo that clearly stated parameters of what the rules are in regards to the draft once you make yourself available to be picked. Regardless of talent this guy doesn't seem to bright. If we can't get him as a UDFA then I say pass. I just see a situation similar to that of a former top rated OT prospect Tony Washington out of Abilene Christian. He never saw the NFL and the same may be true for Collins.
-
I wanted this guy as a draft pick so hopefully he bucks the odds because he has some measurables.
-
I disagree about White having a B Marshall career because of him being on 4 teams and accomplishing whatever stats he has compiled and being somewhat of a locker room cancer every where he has gone. The Bears were Marshall's 3rd team and what my wishes for White is that he produces like Marshall but has a much longer and more productive career than Marshall here.
-
Jason should be happy!lol
-
The questions about my choice Phillips motor may have had him behind Goldman on the Bears board. So 1 for 1 on first pick 2 for 2 on positions.
-
If Collins is there take him. If he is gone take Phillips or Goldman.
-
NFLdraftscout.com had a 2nd round mock that had the Bears taking him also and since most of those guys sucked after the first 2 picks of their last mocks don't worry.
-
How can you consider yourself hardcore if you are not willing to take the good with the bad like I have since '66? Hardcore imo means no matter what and that's not what you are posting.

You and me both.
