This was a what if scenario presented on nfl.com that whoever wrote this took and put his spin on it. The title of the nfl.com article was "Draft trades we'd love to see" There was several fantasy trades including the Cowboys trading up for Todd Gurley. This was not a solid rumor just a fantasy draft trade scenario written by the Around The League staff that this person took and tried to make it seem like a rumor.

According to the Trib Ryan Pace has said the Bears will not pick up the 5th year option on Shea McClellin.

Adam Schefter is reporting the Bears are listening to trade offers for Martellus Bennett who is not at mini camp and reportedly wanting a new contract.

Besides Shelton and Phillips do any of these names say nose tackle? Malcolm Brown, Eddie Goldman,Carl Davis,Tyler Davison,Letermius Watson and Detrick Lott. Their size alone looks like space eater and double team players. I have watched the Bears for a long time and I'm not about to act like I know anything about how they would play a 3-4 but the version of the defense that Fangio played when the Bears played them with Jason Campbell at QB is not the same as what green bay plays every game. I don't think either team has a huge NT that eats up blocks.

The last time an OG went 7th was 2013 and it was Jonathan Cooper and so far he has started 2 games. Chance Warmack went 10th and the 20th pick and best OL pick in the draft was Long. So the notion that you can find a OG or RT in later rounds was not in play in 2013 with DJ Fluker at 11 going in that 1st round as well as Eric Fisher number 1 overall, Luke Joeckel number2, Lane Johnson number 4 and Justin Pugh number 19. The most criticized and shocking pick is now the best OL taken in that draft to this date. That was supposedly a strong OL draft but, so far the fruits of that draft has a guy who was considered raw to be the best of those first round OL.

Jason the way these guys project is based on the previous draft and 5 WRs went last year and if the trend continues they figure 7 will go this year because somebody is going to draft someone early that is not according to form(Oak or Cleve). This draft may shift according to who Oakland picks and if Cleveland trades their 2 to move up.

I have been adamant from the start of this evaluation process that the player I want is Amari Cooper and I also have felt Denzel Perryman is going to be a player in this league. I have spoken highly of Jamison Crowder and Ibraheim Campbell.

My favorite draft site is nfldraftscout.com aka csbsport.com and I have used that site as mys reference point four 4 years as well as gbndraftreport.com and nfl.com. I'm not familiar with what you are doing but I simply scroll the prospect rankings and find the players at the Bears respective picks and go 5 below and 10 above,figuring those are the players in play and select one from that pool. I'm not trying to figure out values or anything else just what player available looks like a fit at that pick.

I'm thinking that I prefer OL pick to move either Long out to ROT or Bushrod to ROT. I believe that the OL and DL still need shoring up and for the SS pick of Campbell I have like this player in a couple of my mocks. I'm not so high on Collins as you are and I wish they would have taken Clinton-Dix last year but, I'm satisfied with Fuller. Just Like QB this is a weak Safety draft also and taking Collins because we need help at the position is not what I think would be best.

I'm saying this is the last time I will do one before the draft so whatever your last statement means has no bearing on what I'm doing when it comes to the draft. I am just a poster on a fan board nothing more..

Brandon Scherff OT Iowa not completely comfortable with either tackle so I take him here and move Bushrod to the RT spot. 2.Eric Kendricks ILB UCLA this may be a pipe dream but I like this prospect a lot and believe he will be a game changer. 3. Sammie Coates WR Auburn hopefully he is still on the board at this spot and we have a replacement for Marshall. 4. Ibraheim Campbell SS Northwestern more competition at the weakest spot in the secondary. 5. Karlos Williams RB Fla ST a good candidate for the new RB for committee that coach Fox favors. 6. Justin Cox CB Miss St. more competition and help for the secondary.

I lean more towards their sources are telling them that Williams is not as highly regarded as early on in this process for whatever reason.

Leonard Williams falling to 7 would be similar to Warren Sapp falling and give you a probably pissed off defender that would make everyone that passed on him pay. I like the idea of a guy that is pissed on defense. Regardless of what these guys say they do follow mock drafts and have some sort of idea where they may go and if they drop I'm sure he will feel pissed.

He was a rookie when I started watching the Bears and he was the first great LB to wear #55 followed up by Otis Wilson and Lance Briggs. Hopefully there will be some sort of memorial patch or something from the organization to honor one of my all time favorites. My favorite memory of Buffone was when he wore Butkus' jersey during practice to disguise how bad Butkus'knees were and the photo was on the sports page with them wearing each others jersey.

Sorry for the late reply but, you take a small sample of my full post and try to find some in consistencies? I never challenged Forte's manhood I just commented on the fact that he CONSISTENTLY takes himself out of games by looking at the sideline and raising his hand in the air. Thats not challenging his manhood its a fact. On most of the Bears sustained drives Forte is not out there for the whole drive and if he breaks of a long run he comes out of the game almost immediately.In the games I watch this is what happens. My comment about the touches may require you to do some research. For starters take the names of Priest Holmes, LaDanien Tomlinson ,Maurice Jones-Drew and Charlie Garner. Look at all those guys production the year after heavy touches came the previous year. Forte falls into this line of thinking for the up coming season so if he is expecting to get an up in pay, the I'm saying buyer beware!

With the recent trade movement of RBs and the current rumoured status of Matt Forte, I find it very hard to believe that the Bears would not take a look at someone in this draft. I am probably one of the few on this board that believes that Carey deserves a chance to prove himself since Forte got so many touches last year and Fox is a RB by committee type of coach so you lessen Forte's impact by adding a draft pick at RB. Also if they realy want to improve the defense then they should run more and take ball out of Jay Intler's hands.

This is not surprising since most backup OLmen have to be versatile and it would be cheaper to see what someone on the roster already can learn before you make a FA signing or draft a player.

I'm leery of White also because he reminds me of Darius Heywerd-Bey as the WR workout warrior this year.I also remember when Johnnie Knox tore up the Combine and in both cases the finer points of being a WR were not in either of these two players makeup. Know physically out of the league and now Heywerd-Bey on team 3 trying to learn the position.
