Last Sunday I gave my son and grandson both a Matt Forte jersey for their birthdays. I wonder if they both were wearing them after Forte's solid performance.

For those who have faith in JA when it comes to running backs: 1 A-Train is not a special back. 2 Drafted Cedric Benson 3 Traded Thomas Jones in favor of Benson. 4 Leaving a player who has accounted for at least 35% of your offense over the past 3 years dangling in the wind as far as his contract extension is concerned. His evaluation of RBs has paralleled his o-line evaluations. We all know his current thoughts on that subject.

I suck posting links. This the site I use for most of my draft info during the college seasonhttp//www.cbssports.com/#1/nfl/draft/history/team/CHI
-
cbssports.com Here's a link to how JA and the rest have drafted recentlt and historically. click on nfl then draft and history.
-
That is exactly what I thought also and then couple that with Williams being injured in his first year and its kind of a Catch 22 with JA when it comes to drafting any linemen in the first round see Michael Haynes and as a matter of fact if we add up all the OL and DL he has drafted in the first 3 rounds his track record gets really exposed.

LOL Jason your comment about Cutler solidifies my thoughts about why even do a pre-snap read if you can't check out of a play and all that pre-snap motion doesn't mean squat. The defense is disguising their look also. This game was solely based on Martz trying to outsmart a highly touted DC and Lovie should have stepped in and told him to knock it off.
-
Sad thing is that I have a supervisor who passes the blame as much as JA does and since I'm the next in charge I stop just short of having an Ozzie Guillen approach and throw my boss under the bus figuring eventually the turds will float to the top and everyone will see it.

Joe Buck that JO (Everyone Please Forgive ME) is totally anti Chicago. I feel he is in the same boat as Chip Caray,Skip Caray,Thom Brennaman, and Kenny Albert. The lucky announcer sperm club which is a subdivision of the lucky pro sports owners' sperm club( see the names McCaskey and Irsay). Whenever he does a Fox sporting event be it baseball or Football he has to make slanted comments toward the Chicago team and I'm not saying this as a Chicago fan I'm saying this as a guy who loved his dad doing games because thats what he did the games he didn't feel he was the story.

This team has added size to the o-line and the only way that will manifest itself is if they run the ball and stick to it. I'm talking 2 TEs and the 1 FB you have and whichever one of the WRs is the best blocker for a series in the 2nd half. Once the injury to Carimi happened it was time to adjust your thinking and obviously Omiyale was not someone you wanted on the field because if he was he would have been a starter. You can't allow a guy who has had limited reps be exposed by trying to ride a DE past the QB when he is rolling to the right. The Saints OTOH were chipping Peppers all game. BTW for those of you who think Martz shouldn't be launched, I side with Big Daddy with the stipulation that that QB coach who is on the sidelines with Cutler call the plays because he knows the scheme, plays and terminology and tell him to utilize the run more.

Whether you're pro Angelo, anti-Angelo or in different that was probably the dumbest statement he has made in his tenure here. I actually heard this read on the radio and shook my head and got out of the car.Now if I was one of those read between the line theorists,I would say he might be subtley pointing the finger at Martz. All I know is that Mike Singletary who did some odd things as the Niners coach, did one solid thing as an interim coach and that was launch Martz almost immediately. I would love to see the Bears do the same if he doesn't do the right thing and use Forte to set up his passing game instead of the other way around.
-
The point is he was injured last season and he is injured now. Which solidifies the arguement that he may have been a one year wonder.
-
Remember the big debate about if the Bears should have gone after him in FA? Well since he has yet to play this season and has a torn labrum, this is another dodged bullett.
-
I should have known what you meant. I've read enough of your posts to figure out what you were getting at. Now that you spelled it out for me I'm saying Duh to myself lol.
-
Louis,Barber,Williams and Harris definetly out per Lovie on field interview.
-
Mad L thats what the line opened at and has stayed there which tells me that the action on both teams has been equal. I'm hoping this doubting trend continues and keeps the Bears ticked off.
-
Sad thing is all the Bears beat writersat the Trib picked the Saints except Vaughn McClure.
-
The Lovie Smith coached Bears against the Sean Payton coached Saints has been kinda one sided. The Bears have prevailed in those meetings with one actually being in an NFC Championship game. Hopefully this is one of those style versus style matchups that favors the Bears style of defense over the Saints style of offense. I can't remember the Saints putting up big points against the Bears and have no reason to believe that it will change this week. I like the Bears in a close one with Robbie Gould being the advantage.

I don't know what it is but whenever I post a link from espn it doesn't go through to everyone else.

and the beat goes on...espn experts picks

Hear Hear Guys! Since when has it been said that injuries are not a part of the game? The Bears as BF 74 said played what stood before them, so what should they have done count 1001,1002...etc before rushing a backup QB? The NFC South has been over hyped for the last 2 years and now with them going head to head with the top 2 teams in the NFC North we will see how good the division really is. The whole division is 0-1. I'm just tired of the Nat'l media continuously disrespecting the Bears and their division. The NFC Nortyh is the best division in football as far as competitiveness goes top to bottom.
-
B Bear you're saying that the guy who will snap the ball on every play and make the line adjustments on those snaps will have the smallest role of any O-linemen on the Saints? Given the fact that the Bears got 3sacks out of their interior guys leads me to believe that he will have a huge role and amount of pressure on him especially after he saw film of himself getting moved off the ball on the game deciding play.
-
BTW the 85 Bear that Kruetz stood up to is the Fridge according to a story that Steve McMichael told yesterday on AM 1000 ESPN.The disagreement started because Perry felt that Kreutz didn't acknowledge him when he came in the room at some type of Bear fest. The way McMichael tells the story with him standing in between the 2 with his Chiuahua(sp?) as he told both guys if they really wanted to fight they would have squished his dog by now. He compared to a disagreement at a family gathering and when pressed on the issue he added that Olin would not have been able to move Fridge one bit and that if the two really had tangled it would have been an all day sucker.
-
One intangible that may turn into an advantage may be if Urlacher doesn't play. No matter how long Kruetz has been with this organization he doesn't have much experience when Roach makes the calls on defense. The other wild card in the equation is Okoye. I do believe Kreutz will struggle against him when he comes into the game.Like someone else posted there isn't much familiarity with Okoye and Melton. Then I'd like to see how Kreutz matches up with Peppers when he lines up inside.
-
Well I was one of the posters on this site that constantly question Kreutz and his leadership for the past couple of years and beat writers like Mulligan and Biggs always tend to cozy up to these guys when they have been hear for a while. As for him being depicted as a bully he had quite big part in that perception himself as a collegiate and as a pro. Coming out he was considered a character risk as he had fought teammates at Washington on a couple of occassions and was sent to anger management. Fast forward to the incident with Fred Miller his own teammate and its clear that he still loses his temper at times. I wouldn't be surprised if that was to happen in the game this Sunday. Hopefully he will do his trade mark false snap and have a dumb personal foul at a critical time that benefits the Bears. Mike Mulligan if you want to kiss up to Kreutz to get an exclusive interview this week but, he is an opponent this week so the hell with him.

BF74 Carimi was just as bad as Webb yesterday he just didn't make penalties. He on one play was turned completely around and basically looked like a turnstile. I don't know if you were able to watch the game live or not but even the announcers made negative comments about Carimi.
