  1. Yes. Even though I don't want a LT. His account was obviously hacked. He was regarded as the #1 player overall for most of this process. If we can get him at #11, hell yes. Damnit!!! San Fran takes Buckner!
  2. Stanley goes. Man I'd love to see Buckner fall.
  3. Why is someone guaranteed to fall? Zee went a few spots higher than most thought. So far it doesn't help the Bears.
  4. Elliott to Dallas. So much for all our discussion about "Should the Bears take Zeke at #11"
  5. Saw the pic. How does that come out on his Twitter account 15 minutes before the draft starts???
  6. Bosa!!!! I read approximately 900 different mock drafts. I don't think a single one had Bosa going #3.
  7. I don't see any way we trade down. If we drafted a few spots higher or even a few spots lower, teams might want to trade with us. We're in a bad spot for a move with the talent available.

  9. They don't ned to bad mouth Leno. The difference in this case is normally Pace and Fox talk for 5 minutes with a total non-answer. Yet they expressly went out of their way to compliment Charles Leno and state they like his future at LT. So either they are lying about liking him while hoping Tunsil or Stanley fall to us (Conklin is viewed as a RT which doesn't help us).
  10. I think it's quite possible if Myles Jack is there at #11, we pass. Jeff Dickerson with Chicago ESPN had a good article where he talked about how in last year's draft, the Bears played it really safe. We took really good football players who weren't a gamble. This was part of his argument for why the Bears will draft Shaq Lawson.

    Shaq Lawson

I saw 3 different mock drafts today from 3 different places and they all have Shaq Lawson going to the Bears at #11. The 3 have nothing in common so I gotta think where there is smoke there is fire. The 3 sources were an ESPN countable, Peter King, and Dan Pompei. ESPN was broadcast but here's what King and Pompei had to say: Peter King: 11. Chicago: Shaq Lawson, DE/OLB, Clemson. Keep hearing the Bears will go defense here, and if this scenario holds, I guarantee either GM Ryan Pace or coach John Fox, or both, will say post-first-round: “We never thought he’d be sitting there at our pick.” So many people I spoke with love Lawson’s effort, and think his first-step quickness and 4.68 speed is going to translate very well to the NFL. The Bears need a quarterback-disruptor. One X factor: Lawson could need a shoulder procedure, not serious, before the season. Dan Pompei: 1. Bears—Shaq Lawson, OLB, Clemson. He’s a scheme fit for the Bears, he’s a decent value at this point of the draft and he’s a player who fills a need. The fact that he can rush the passer and play with power makes Lawson attractive to the Bears. If Jack Conklin is available, he could be the pick. Sheldon Rankins and Vernon Hargreaves can’t be dismissed either.
  12. I'm telling you, I have not heard one Chicago sports media say anything but we REALLY like Leno. Dude started 13 games. We are real happy with his progress. I think we know Tunsil and Stanley will be long gone by 11. It's going to be Elliott or a defensive player at #11.
  13. With your list, seeing more and more mocks, I'm not certain Hargreaves is in the special players group. I think we all agree a trade back would be ideal. Brad Biggs wrote today the eventual cap savings by drafting a player outside the top 10.
  14. Brad Biggs was on the SCORE saying he believed Ryan Pace when he talked about how much he liked Charles Leno. Which reminded me I heard Zach Zaidman saying the same thing. Come to think of it, I haven't heard a single Chicago media guy think they really don't like Charles Leno. AND, if Leno sucks, they move Long to LT. I guess I'm saying there's no way in hell we draft an offensive tackle at #11. just my 2 cents.
  15. Josh Norman will sign with that Washington team. As per profootballrumors.com
  16. Hell yes we have the money. The Bears are one of the top 10 most profitable and valuable franchises in the NFL. We always spend up to the cap with 5 million held over until next year. We currently have 20 million available. There is no reason for us not to spend it. That being said, I'd be good with signing Hoyer for 3 years and front-loading his money. Of course if Jets and Broncos are offering a starting position, it's a moot point.
  17. It is interesting. But no defense until round #4???? Yikes. I'm good with Stanley at #11. But if we draft him at #11, we have to go defense in round #2. If you look at the number of front 7 players projected to go in round #2, there's no way in hell we take a TE in that spot.
  18. In terms of the money, we have 20 million in cap room and likely more once we sign AJ to a long term deal. AND there are no major players that we need to resign next year meaning we are going to continue to have a ton of cap room. At what point do we spend this $$$?
  19. As per the SCORE. Could mean nothing other than we are curious about his asking price.
  20. I think AZ accidentally gave you the 2016 link. Here's the 2015 link below. What's interesting is that of the 50 players we met with, the only guy who we actually drafted was Kevin White. No Goldman, Grasu, Langford, Amos, or Fabuluje. And as far as I can tell, we never bothered signing any of the unrestricted free agents either. So who the Bears are meeting with is meaningless in terms of predicting the draft. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2015/4/17...t-visit-tracker
  21. Yep. It doesn't hurt that ESPN is running promos with Jon Gruden saying, "I'll be shocked if Hackenberg doesn't go in round 1." With all the value teams are placing on the QB, I wouldn't be shocked to see 6 teams drafting a QB in round 1. On a side note, last year supposedly we wanted to trade Cutler but had no takers. How valuable is he now? The price of QB's is sky-rocketing.
