Too many needs. We need a WR, CB, OT, Safety, just for starters. This is a team that is supposed to be built around the draft and we got no damn draft picks.

Agreed completely. But why is he still there? I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd went in the top 10. I'm just saying that we there's a reason why nobody drafted him. Teams don't pass on LT.

Yep. But last year we moved back in the 2nd round twice. Most of us were bitching about it at the time but Cody Whitehair turned out okay. With out limited number of picks, I feel like we have to move back.

Why start him right away? Everyone says he needs to groom a year. We paid Glennon 15 million. When we signed Glennon we probably knew we were making a run at a QB at #3. This is all part of the plan.

With the trade down, that would be a bit of a splash. Right now--unless the Bears take Watson, anything we do is "Meh"

Yeah but you can't draft two secondary players in a row. That's crazy. Our most solid positions are 3-4 ILB, OG, and RB.. Financiallly, those are 3 of the least valuable positions. Safety is also a position with lesser value. Part of the reason you would draft Allen over Adams is because you'll have that guy's salary slotted for the next 5 years. What does the average d-lineman make vs. what the average safety earns? A top defensive tackle will sign for 100 million. Can you imagine paying that to a safety???? That's why quarterbacks get overdrafted. Mike Glennon is a mediocre QB who hasn't played in two years. He's making 15 million--the highest paid player on the team. Any QB we drafted at #3 is going to be more talented. And we won't pay them anywhere close to 15 million. Isn't it like 3 or 4? Drafting a QB at the top is a financial bargain.

Yeah, but you can't really blame them. People in the "know' are putting this stuff out there. Sometimes the information they receive is actually 100% correct. Other times, it's a smokescreen. Either way--we buy into it 100%.

Good point. Although I'll disagree with trusting the Mayocks and Kipers. Their job is to predict what 21 year olds will do when they reach the National Football League. The fact is that nobody knows for sure what the hell they will do once they are multi-millionaires with endoresments. I don't know about you, but I was a complete drunken jackass when I was 21. Yep. What if we trade out and Trubisky is awesome? I'm already tired of hearing, "The Bears had 3 picks in the 4th round and didn't draft Dak Prescott." Yep. And every other team passed on him at least 3 times. Can you imagine if we trade out and he's great? Pace could never live that down..
