  1. That's whats been lost in all this. So much focus on Fields that we forget the defense has two rookies at CB and third stringer in Stroman. Not to mention two more rookies coming in occasionally on the d-line. Granted the defense hasn't been spectacular this season, they have flashes of being pretty good. Its the vets that seem to look lost out there.
  2. Yeah he really looks slow. Was wondering if his injury isn't still bugging him. Saw him limping a bit about halfway through the first part of the game.
  3. I may have said this already but DJ Moore is the real deal. And Justin sets another Bears record with most passing yards in first quarter. Yeah...he sucks. <sarcasm>
  4. So far out of the blocks lookin pretty good. First series resulted in a TD after six(?) plays. One sack (which could be a concern later on) otherwise Justin looked cool and confident. DJ Moore is the real deal.
  5. Yeah looks legit. Hard to believe just a few weeks ago he was tweeting about going to the game…RIP. ?
  6. Love the idea of Harbaugh and Fangio reuniting in Chicago. Talk about keeping people accountable. Don’t see them putting the Franchise tag on Johnson and pretty sure Claypool won’t be with the team by the time the 2024 season starts. Same for Jackson.
  7. Safe to assume we’ll see newly acquired safety Duron Harmon playing tomorrow night? Edit: whoops had last weeks injury report here before. Changed out for current.
  8. Seen some discussion here about Flus potentially losing the locker room. Curious if the team plays gang busters and wins (or comes close) that it’s a sign he hasn’t and they (the team) would prefer he stay? And if they lose and look lackluster then it would be obvious he should be gone? ??‍♂️
  9. Bears sign Safety Duron Harmon. He’s had no less than 2 interceptions every season since 2017 and has started full seasons each of the last three despite being on three different teams each of those years. Oh, and he’s won three SBs with his original team New England. Something tells me we won’t be seeing Jackson around anytime soon.
  10. If the mods could clean up this sh*t show I just posted. I'm not sure what happened but I posted the same thing four times. Apologies...
  11. You may have seen my side by side comparison of Fields and Purdy (0-14 and 14-0 respectively in the same span). Goes to show you what the “experts” know. To me and assuming Williams decides to enter the draft after this season, it’ll come down to how he does against some of the remaining opponents on this years’ schedule (#10 Notre Dame, #7 Washington and #8 Oregon among them). And if USC makes it into the playoffs who they play and how they fare against them.
  12. Was watching some iso-video on Darnell Wright (embedded in the link below) and he looked pretty good. In fact he’s slowly working his way up to notable play. One other player I’d like to throw an honorable mention to is Khari Blasingame. During the few plays he was in he threw some key blocks and about halfway through the video you’ll see him do one in open space on a rushing defender. Wonder if he shouldn’t be used more in short yardage? https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/dont-look-now-but-darnell-wright-quietly-ranks-among-nfls-best/
  13. I could live with this. And really it’s a win win.
  14. How long before he starts playing? And how long after that before he’s injured again? ??‍♂️
  15. I was thinking he reminded me more of a Chris Conte who liked to lay wood but would be injured all the time because of it. Being a SS I thought Brisker would be better at run stopping than he has been. I didn't think he'd been going soft...maybe he has.
  16. After looking up "Sam Howell" I learned he broke Trubisky records while at NC. Who knew? I see he was drafted by Wash in a more fitting place in the 5th round. You think they were hoping to find their next Kirk Cousins?
  17. I would argue consistently mediocre. Edwards was/is the #2 overall tackler in the NFL (at least yesterday he was). Of course he's also on the field a lot...so there's that. And in another post someone mentioned that the much maligned Sam Mustipher was recently the 2nd ranked Center(?). Of course it was PFF. So maybe he's doing better because of better coaching? ?‍♂️ And to add to your thought, to me Ngakoue has been the biggest disappointment. He's nowhere near the advertised '8 sacks per season' pace. I get that Edmunds has been busy juggling a new scheme and playcalling so there is that 'excuse' for him to come along slower, but I mean Yannick's specialty is rushing the QB. And it ain't happen' much so far.
