  1. If his Wikipedia page is any indication, Solder is still an FA (below). Not much else out there other than to hint at him still being available. Looking at his stats he opted out in 2020 for COVID and came back for 16 games in 2021. Seems to still be a regular contributor despite missing 2020.
  2. Interesting thread here about Poles. Says an Ogunjobi deal may not be dead yet. And with Bates out of the picture he may be looking at a CB now.
  3. Looks like Bates is staying in Buffalo.
  4. The Joel Iyiegbuniwe era is over in Chicago.
  5. At some point I’d like us to open a thread as to why our team can’t possibly succeed (have a winning season) this year. I think we need to wait until closer to the start of the season to make that guess but maybe it’s just me. Like Connor said the other day, we only have 50(?) players on the roster and are due to have as many as 90 when the physical part of the season begins. Still ALOT of off-season to go.
  6. You gotta love a lineman with the last name Dozier. The nickname "Bull-Dozier" practically writes itself.
  7. Most here have probably seen this. I’d bet if Nagy was still coach the Bears would be all in to get him. Thank goodness that’s not the case. For the record, my answer is ‘no’ for the Bears.
  8. Depth loss but perhaps clears room for a well travelled Honey Badger?
  9. Suspect we’ll know by tomorrow. Sounds like he made all his planned visits with the Bears as the last stop…which could be a good thing.
  10. Gulp…now I see why the Bears passed on Armstead…if they were ever in the discussion.
  11. I think the teams preceding the names were the teams they visited. But I agree, he wouldn’t be a bad option.
  12. Speculation growing there could be a deal for Foles soon. Siemian visited today.
  13. I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree for now.

  15. Burrow was sacked a crap-ton last year. 70 total for the year (third most in NFL history) and seven times in the Super Bowl which itself tied a record. Imagine if they knock down that total to half? With these three guys I could see that easily being the case. And to add a further thought, we saw how easily flustered Mahomes gets when he's rushed/sacked multiple times. Burrow not so much. I feel the Fields and the Bears are about a year behind where Burrow and the Bengals are/were. If they get Fields a WR like they did with Chase (maybe one of his guys from Ohio State or one of the big hitters from Alabama or Georgia) AND add some studly linemen, we might see us close the gap a little. From what I've seen so far Fields is more like Burrow in his composure and more like Mahomes in his talent.
  16. There was talk elsewhere about Pringle probably being our slot receiver since that seems to be where he does best. I present ‘exhibit A’ for that case. Play close attention to his catches against Tennessee. Pure studliness.
  17. Honestly think Graham is the solution. In the few starts he had last season, he looked legit.
  18. Seems cheap but he was injured last year. And he’s only had two 1,000 yard seasons in the last 5 seasons. His replacement, ARob, had two 1,000 yard seasons in the last four and hasn’t been injured lately.
  19. Kwiatkowski was released by the Raiders. May be too costly for what we need but might be willing to negotiate.
  20. I almost fell for the same fake acct. (no blue check). Dang Twitter and my old brain. The fact he’s lasted this long through FA should be a clue; too much money or other issues. Still think La’el Collins should be considered and may have similar concerns.
  21. I have to believe these guys ‘not passing physicals’ is by the slightest of margins. For one it doesn’t seem to happen very often. And the other, I recall Morrow being out late last year for a season ending ankle injury (for which he had surgery). The other day during his presser he was asked about it and said that had the Raiders made it (later) into the playoffs he’d have been cleared to play. Ogunjobi’s injury actually occurred while they were playing the Raiders to continue into the playoffs. So a few weeks (at worst) separated their injuries. Of course you figure in severity and type; high ankle sprain(Morrow) and undisclosed foot injury (Ogunjobi) could also factor in.
  22. Agreed. I feel like most of the players he’s picking up aren’t necessarily ‘tier one’ level players but they are young, respectable contributors and don’t cost a lot. From what I hear this is sorta how Poles built that oline last year.
  23. No Derrick Henry though…oh well. Wonder how much those guys profited from him being a big decoy?
  24. FB Khari Blansingame added to the roster per many sources. A link of him in action and against his new team no less.
