  1. Former Bears PS player and third/fourth backup RB Ryan Nall has moved on. Thank your for your long-standing service sir.
  2. Former KC LB, current FA Anthony Hitchens paid Chicago a visit. Connection to both Poles (KC). and Eberflus when they were both in Dallas.
  3. Hell, at this point I'd be happy if they signed an Alabama alum in Julio Jones. One year deal...nothing fancy.
  4. Didn’t see it anywhere and on the surface not huge news but apparently Williams went to Atlanta. Which leaves Herbert as one of the primary backups. To me thats a good thing.
  5. Agreed. If you use Poles’ successful construction of the Chiefs’ oline from last year as a small sample, it seems he’s using that technique and picking bargain players to fill in gaps of need rather than splashy players that cost a lot. I recently discussed with someone how he (the other guy) was disappointed in the Bears not getting Ogunjobi and the FA was a fail for us. I said if you look at stats from last year and compare Ogunjobi with Muhammad, I don’t think it’s as bad as you’d think. Ogunjobi had 49 tackles and 7 sacks where Muhammad had 48/6. Ogunjobi would’ve cost 3 yrs at $40.5 million ($13.5 each year) whereas Muhammad cost 2 hrs at $10 million ($5 million each year). And he played in Eberflus’ system. Add in the pickup of Justin Jones (37 tackles 3 sacks) who cost 2 years at $12 million and I think Poles did just fine.
  6. Digging deep into the Twitterverse, saw this Tweet about Cruckishank. The article suggested the Bears take a look. Hey four years later ain’t bad.
  7. Looks as though Eberflus is keeping an open mind to a few of the players on defense. Really hope Eddie seizes on this opportunity.
  8. If his Wikipedia page is any indication, Solder is still an FA (below). Not much else out there other than to hint at him still being available. Looking at his stats he opted out in 2020 for COVID and came back for 16 games in 2021. Seems to still be a regular contributor despite missing 2020.
  9. Interesting thread here about Poles. Says an Ogunjobi deal may not be dead yet. And with Bates out of the picture he may be looking at a CB now.
  10. Looks like Bates is staying in Buffalo.
  11. The Joel Iyiegbuniwe era is over in Chicago.
  12. At some point I’d like us to open a thread as to why our team can’t possibly succeed (have a winning season) this year. I think we need to wait until closer to the start of the season to make that guess but maybe it’s just me. Like Connor said the other day, we only have 50(?) players on the roster and are due to have as many as 90 when the physical part of the season begins. Still ALOT of off-season to go.
  13. You gotta love a lineman with the last name Dozier. The nickname "Bull-Dozier" practically writes itself.
  14. Most here have probably seen this. I’d bet if Nagy was still coach the Bears would be all in to get him. Thank goodness that’s not the case. For the record, my answer is ‘no’ for the Bears.
  15. Depth loss but perhaps clears room for a well travelled Honey Badger?
  16. Suspect we’ll know by tomorrow. Sounds like he made all his planned visits with the Bears as the last stop…which could be a good thing.
  17. Gulp…now I see why the Bears passed on Armstead…if they were ever in the discussion.
  18. I think the teams preceding the names were the teams they visited. But I agree, he wouldn’t be a bad option.
  19. Speculation growing there could be a deal for Foles soon. Siemian visited today.
  20. I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree for now.

  22. Burrow was sacked a crap-ton last year. 70 total for the year (third most in NFL history) and seven times in the Super Bowl which itself tied a record. Imagine if they knock down that total to half? With these three guys I could see that easily being the case. And to add a further thought, we saw how easily flustered Mahomes gets when he's rushed/sacked multiple times. Burrow not so much. I feel the Fields and the Bears are about a year behind where Burrow and the Bengals are/were. If they get Fields a WR like they did with Chase (maybe one of his guys from Ohio State or one of the big hitters from Alabama or Georgia) AND add some studly linemen, we might see us close the gap a little. From what I've seen so far Fields is more like Burrow in his composure and more like Mahomes in his talent.
  23. There was talk elsewhere about Pringle probably being our slot receiver since that seems to be where he does best. I present ‘exhibit A’ for that case. Play close attention to his catches against Tennessee. Pure studliness.
