My interpretation of what the Bears M.O. is that they will do what's best for Bears/Bagent on close to equal terms. I'm guessing a third and fifth rounder or favorable player swap would occur. It would be around the value of the Matt Hassleback trade.
  2. What I find hilarious is the anti Indiana snobbery from the Illinais. The same thing happened my freshman year at IU. Chicagoans talked so much shit. My simple question was, "why are you here then"? Crickets chirped. The fan base is what it is and once they stop crying, they'll be back...
  3. Tell us how you feel...ðŸĪĶðŸ― For starters, the Bears greatest desire is to stay in the city of Chicago. But, when the city is billions in debt, including 500 million behind on their payments to Soldier Field, there's a problem. On to Arlington Heights. The first thing they did, after the Bears bought the property, was try to shake the organization down for taxes on a demolition site, because they couldn't fund their school system without it. They attended to tax it as a viable business site. Welcome to the Heights, now bend over. Onto the State Capital. They told the Bears they wouldn't entertain anything until next year. (Isn't this year three of the Arlington purchase?). They didn't actually get caught with their pants down. This was pure negligence by the parties that be, as they new the family wanted to break ground last year. So, where do we blame the McCaskeys? I don't see it. The family is still hoping for Illinois to figure it out. Business minded Indiana sure understands what having the Bears would mean. It took our governor no time in getting a proper bill passed to the benefit the Bears and our state. Screw Illinois. They don't deserve the Bears.

Yes. It's what DA did with his scheme with the Saints. His defenses are opportunistic and good against the run. The pressure up the middle is also what Lovie predicated his defense on. DA is more aggressive with blitzes and secondary tactics. The whole premise is to get the QB of his spot. That's especially valuable when you play Goff and Love.

I haven't spent a lot of time on EDGE, because we must generate a rush in the middle first. Teams are providing help to the outside knowing the interior guys take 4 seconds to get there. This is a great draft year for DT, LB and S. It's amazing that we could be this tremendously lucky. This should be our first three picks, in respective order...

At one point, I liked Overton but the Indiana game soured me on him. Reminds me of Dexter.

  10. Wolf Lake area of Hammond. Wolf Lake straddles the two states, just west of Whiting.
  11. Would help you to know that Hammond is actually a Chicago suburb or that Papa Bear started his football career there? The Bears are rooted in NW Indiana for over 100 years...
  12. All Indiana baby!
  13. Getting closer. Indiana has unanimously passed everything. The Bears have also said they will commit 2 billion to a project in Hammond. Hammond is logistically close than Arlington. Airport, train, bus and highways will make it more accessible than Soldier Field. Hoo hoo hoo Hoosiers! "Who's-your" Chicago Bears! Just heard from my guy at the statehouse. He said, the McCaskeys want to build "Bearsville". It will have museums, parks, amphitheatre, restaurants, shops, hotels etc. They want a full weekend experience.
  14. Honestly, our LB corps was awful last year. The DL wasn't getting blown off the ball, so who fills the hole? Edwards being hurt didn't help. It's terrible, but we need someone to do what Roquan Smith did. The linebackers should be able to diagnose the run and be at the line of scrimmage to meet the back. I would definitely draft one by the end of day two.
  15. I may look at things differently, but seriously don't see it. I've never seen a defensive scheme that rated a LB as average when they made 90% of their tackles, laterally, 3+ yards passed the LOS. If I'm wrong, I'll accept it.
  16. I'll be greatly surprised if anyone wants him. The only reason he was getting any attention is because of the early season interceptions. They literally fell into his lap. If anyone wants to know why our run defense sucked, look at him as a prime suspect.

Never watched that guy before now. It was good that he posted the TTP and TTS metrics, as those are extremely important. Damn, Sweat sucks compared to him. That's another reason I get on Dexter so much. So many people talk about him getting six sacks, but don't really notice how long it takes him to get there. One thing that's not great about the move would be that Sweat and Trey mainly line up on opposite ends. Can Booker be an LDE, because Trey is a three down player? Or do we draft Montezs' replacement? A supplemental thought could be a reunion with Khalil Mack to pair with Trey. He's a fantastic run stopper and can play both sides. I believe he could be had inexpensively at this point in his career. Of course for any of this to happen, money has to move in our favor. I'm hearing we are leaning toward restructuring DJ to keep him. If that's the case, it would be a harder pull on the money train.

I'm leaning toward cutting Dayo. He won't be full speed this season, so why not take the hit now. If Nate Davis was never a Bear, he would easily be Poles worst signing. Also, if we can sign Hendrickson, if put Sweat on the block. All four upfront should be explosive. The track record shows, this is how the Superbowl is won.

I watched the other halftime show, but recorded the game. After viewing the NFL halftime, my opinion stays the same. The NFL chose potential growth and greed over the majority of it's loyal fans. This may be the nail in Goodell's coffin. People are already pissed about the streaming and such.(BTW, I agree with Lucky). My buddy in Germany is pissed because there is only one game there this year. For each German game, last year, there were 500k people actively pursuing tickets the day they were released. So Goodell says, "we've hooked Germany", let's go elsewhere. My friend couldn't even watch the game last night because they were doing pay per view. About the performance. The performance, choreography and music was good. I simply can't get past the fact that many other artists would have put on a much more relatable show. It's not just the singing in Spanish, because I love me some Three Tenors. They and like artists perform songs we've heard throughout our lifetime and they do it with so much passion that I can feel it in my chest.(Jim Cornelison on the anthem). Bocceli opening the Olympics, the whole world felt! There's the difference for me. Viva Italia! So, meh is my vote.

He is definitely one that can disrupt a good pass rush. I still love Maye, but Caleb is our guy. He would have been the X factor.

Will Campbell is getting killed. I've heard his name like he is a skill position player.
