I don't want to see the Bears using the top 3 on a QB. Part of the reason I say Petty, later in the rounds.

Exactly what I was thinking. I was starting to get worried about seeing all of these HC interviews and no GM interviews. Now that we are seeing the info on the GM's I have settled down.

I wonder if the Pats, GB, Pit, Ravens, Seahawks, Denver would hire someone outside to help them find a GM. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did this. I'm just saying it further proves Ted Phillips should not be leading the Bears.

I get why George would want to hire Ernie, he is only in his 4th year as Chairman. Ted Phillips has been the CEO for 15 or 16 years. He should know the rising stars. He should be well connected throughout the league.

The fact that our ceo/president has to hire someone to help pick our GM proves he should not be our CEO. Greorge needs to wake up and give someone else total control. Its actually pissing me off we could lose out on this guy because of Ted Phillips.

Great points. Just read on KffL that the Bears may be interested in Gary Kubiak the OC for The Ravens. That could help in get Decosta, Decosta would have first hand knowledge on what it would be like to work with Kubiak as a head coach.

Im hoping its a different offer, like total control of football operations. Its a big step up and im sure pay raise. He alreay gets paid like a GM. Also things change, maybe he is tired of waiting for Ozzie to retire. I dont care if Ted is still the CEO, as long as he has not say about football decisions.

Another comment from the presser came from Teddy: We need to get the Bears back to being feared by the rest of the league, when another team plays us they fear having to play us. Ed Obradovich was on the score losing it about this comment. He said something along the lines of this doest exist in the NFL, this is a comment coming from the CEO of the Bears that has no clue about football.

They did say they would be open to it. So why is Decosta's name not on the list? Connor said he doesnt think Decosta is every leaving Bal. So if they are open to it I hope the list of potentials grow to a bigger and better list then what is being reported.

lol........ I fear the Bears are not going to get this right. I may be having this negative attitude because Ted was not demoted. Accorsi has a good track record so I hope he helps the Bears get this right.

I have read that he has been offered other GM positions but not President. If that is true then he is not leaving Baltimore.
