  1. I think in the early rounds, 1 OL, 1 or 2 DL and a RB. In what ever order he feels good with. He may address S, WR, LB, TE but we have quality starters there for now. The biggest question is how do the new coaches evaluate our roster? We don't know.
  2. Actually we both want the same thing, a quality LT. We have two players there right now that have questions. This is not a good year for LTs and I don't think Poles will reach for a player at 10. Banks might be the best tackle this year but he does not fit what Poles likes. I don't see him reaching for something, he doesn't look at it as having no one to play LT. I think he wants someone to slot behind Kiran because if Braxton doesn't get better, he ain't paying him 20 mil a year, he will move on to Kiran and the next guy.
  3. I only have other people's opinions? I do exactly what you do, look at tape, read opinions, look at articles and then form an opinion. I doubt I would have got a degree in college if I was not able to do critical thinking. I'm retired and bored, I absolutely know that I have put tons of hours more time in to forming my opinion than you have yours . On here we've talked about other players and you would give an opinion and qualify it by saying, I haven't watched any tape yet. Be honest, how much time have you watched tape on Banks? I have watched many highlights and 7 games he played in. That absolutely doesn't qualify me for anything more than to have an opinion. I don't claim to have special talent watching tape , if I did I would have got a job as a scout. The only reason I went to college was to get a teaching degree and start a coaching career that I wanted to do because you have to start somewhere.( High school coach) Then my dad offered me a business at 23 I couldn't pass up.
  4. Moving Wright has been suggested before but this should be his statement year ( that he is very good) and with 4 starters in place, I don't think they want to have 2 spots with questions. Poles has 2 drafted players at LT and IMO will draft a other to compete their in the 2nd or 3rd round. These are the OTs with arms over 34" in the draft Cameron Williams Charles Grant Emery Jones Hollis Pierce ( 36) Brandon Crenshaw Dickerson Teams will play someone with less than ideal arm length but they would have to be needy. We are not needy we have 2 on the team right now. I can see us drafting a Charlie Grant or Hollis Pierce in the second or third round over a less than standard prospect at 10. They are keeping the 30 visits quiet but that may have some clues who they like.
  5. I did say none of this matters because IMO, we're not taking an OL at 10. If you addressed that somewhere in your rant, I missed it. In the beginning of the off-season I wanted an OL and then we picked up our IOL Things change as we acquire assets as we move along. I still wanted a OL at 10 until AZ54 gave his opinion about why he doesn't think we will. I changed my mind after that.
  6. If you follow him, he has had different players thru out the off-season as our pick . Look at the dates when you offer something up for information. The one I found was from about 3 weeks ago. Order THE BEAST and see where his final projection is on his Big Board I not wasting my money for sake of argument. When you start doing player evaluations for lots of money let me know so I can then list you with the experts AND I will still disagree if you have the same opinion.
  7. I just used him as an example, and I don't subscribe to the Athletic anymore, the last one I saw was from 3 weeks ago. It's not him against you it's people that do this for a living against a fan's opinion. Of course you have been right before that doesn't verify you as some kind an expert. Some people rate him high and some don't. I already said none of this matters, but we ain't taking him at 10 . I don't agree with anybody that says we are , let alone any OL. Get sick of what ever you want but because you think you are smarter than , everyone else means nothing to me. We are nor comparing degrees, awards, just opinions. For some reason, other people on here say the same thing as I do and you say, I understand your opinion but you constantly push back on my opinion because you don't like me. I just don't have your ego, after the draft, if we take Banks, I'll be a fan and you can gloat how smart you are. If we don't take him , I'm not going to gloat ( see I was right) because it's just opinions. I DON'T CARE
  8. The website you listed lists 1160 mock drafts to do their consensus. Yes lots of legitimate sites are included. Also ( PlayerProfiler) (Predominantly Orange) (DraftPlex) (Daft on Draft), , my hand would be sore listing all that isn't legimate outlets. You are correct in saying I listen to people I trust to be legimate that help form my opinion, and you just gave me a list of other opinions that say Banks is top 13. Isn't that's using other opinions to make your point? I've watched tape of Banks games (7) also. We could watch the exact same play and I could say he didn't handle that well and you tell me he did a good job. It's subjective. Obviously pancake plays, sacks and penalties are obvious. I am going to agree with you for sake of argument and say Banks is the best LT in the draft and it wouldn't matter. The bears aren't drafting a OL at pick 10, that's my main point. Poles values Kiran and Braxton more than you do and he gets to do the picking.. There really isn't any point on arguing draft rankings anymore. It doesn't matter. You may be right about Banks but I trust Dane Bruglers opinion more than your film watching ability . He has spent hours on every player, seen them play before. I have no idea of the kinda time you have watched Banks play football.
  9. Good tape. Another player I have watched that's looked good is Kyle Williams 4.40 speed. https://youtu.be/H9i-9ykjWG4?si=uiaBv_fswy8kmpt2
  10. I wouldn't like Walker either but people are saying Allen would love for his speed and rush ability. I have no idea. I'm good with Warren, Jeanty, Kenneth Grant, James Pierce, Nolen and even Matt Golden if Johnson thinks he's a valuable weapon. They are a few I don't want, otherwise I'm not complaining. I just want 4 good football players that elevate the team.
  11. In not using what you showed me but the experts I trust. Your mock list has lots of people that are just football fans, no serious analyzers that takes hundreds of hours of research as to watching 3 games and becoming an expert. I agree if they took him at 10 that's not a reach. I'm not sure what you do for a living but you will understand this. You are a record executive and 1000 people come in saying they are great singers. The reality is you may have 15-25 that are good. I'm not counting someone like me that creates a website (Thailand Bear's fan) and puts out a mock draft because I think I am smart. The top predictors in the business never get it right let alone people that claim to be smart because they are a football fan. With all of this said, our greatest debate doesn't fall on where we list a players value, I don't think the bears are taking a OL at 10, is that what you believe? That's the key to what I'm saying.
  12. That's a very realistic draft and would love that Draft. I would prefer Junkins to Henderson but that's my brain interfering. I have seen several people say Grant is Akim Hicks, I would love that pick at 10
  13. I totally get it, I think when I originally said he was around pick 15-25 that was accurate. If the bears think he is a future LT 10 is not to early. Rating him as 7 th pick in the draft is a stretch so says Draft Buzz. When you latch on to a player, your history is always putting favorable posts out there to support that player. There is also a lot of favorable content because lots of people share your belief. In this draft there is a general consensus who the best players are Hunter, Carter, Graham, Walker, Jeanty, Warren and some think Ward is. Banks is in the next tier with 25 other players. I don't think he is bad and would have no problem if we took him. I just don't think the bears are at 10, if we drop down and he is there at 20(?) grab him. I don't think they are taking a OL until the second round. I don't pretend to be any kind of draft guru, I would be happy with 10 different players at 10. I trust Poles to take the right person. I have liked every one he has taken in the first round since he got here. It's later picks he has botched. I think 2 players not mentioned a lot that could end up picked at 10. Matt Golden WR ( weapon) , Or Jacob Walker/ LB . Johnson and Allen love speed. I'm not routing for this but could be a surprise on draft Day.
  14. This is interesting, Allen was going to draft Brisker at pick 49 when he was HC at NO.
  15. can you post the full list , I want to see if the mock draft I did on the Barroom network( that you do drafts on the live show) is on there. I prefer to trust certain people that were former scouts or been doing this for years and get paid for it. 1000 on a list doesn't matter to me because anyone can pick a name and put on a show that 1100 people watch and pretend their credible because they say so. Here is reputable NFL people I pay attention to. Ourlads / former scouts that do draft reports that 26 teams pay to look at. Ourlads #12 the third T on the board. Daniel Jeremiah ( every one knows him) he has him ranked 31 and the third highest T. Dane Brugler ( the beast) #21 4 th T on the board. GBNDReport ranked 24th the 4th T on the board. Huddle report ( top 50 accuracy last year 86%) ranked 18th the 3rd T Draft Countdown ( former scouts run this site) 21 and 3rd rated OT. Draft Buzz, ( Like them too) #7 top T Matt Miller ranked 8th player top T Windy City Gridiron Jacob Infante ( I follow him on X and he puts in a lot of time analyzing players. ) ranked 18 3 rd rated OT I don't really pay attention to PFF or ESPN so I'm not going to bother looking them up. I guess the only thing anyone can say is there is no consensus on his ability. Being there is opinions all over the board tells me they're questions on how great he may be. No one said he's bad . Almost everyone said a competent NFL starter and a few I like said the best LT in the draft. Many project him a OG. You can continue to show me stuff that support your opinion and I can too but whether he is the best T in the draft or not , I still don't think the bears are drafting a T at #10.
  16. You show me 21 mock drafts and only 5 have him top 10, 11 have him 10-20 and 6 after 20. I'm not sure this is illustrating to me your argument is correct. My original statement that is generally ranked 15 to 25 seems more true than top 10. Everyone on X has mock drafts so not sure how much that changes my mind. I'll look up the people I trust and list them for you that actually puts months in analyzing players instead of ( my turn to mock draft). Matt Miller, Dane Brugler, Jeremiah, Ourlads and a few more.
  17. The key point here is we don't know what the new coaches think of the roster. All they have is tape right now and Kiran basically doesn't have any. Lots of questions going into the draft.
  18. I will agree that Ersery is a true LT but doesn't get projected as a day 1 starter. If the Bears think Banks is the dude I'm all in with you taking him at 10. But that's where I don't think the circumstances change. I don't think Poles dumps 2 former picks to pick a top 15 OT. Braxton was rated 21 out of the NFL tackle room. He has bad tape and does have penalties. Watch every starting LT in the league and you will find maybe 10 that have consistent tape. LT is hard to fill and many high picks didn't turn into dudes at the position. They are not taking Banks at 10 unless they believe he's a top 10 OT. The overall opinion is this is a very average draft at LT. That's why a lot of marginal LTs are projected at other positions. This is what I think will happen. They trade back and if Banks is there ,may be the pick but more likely a 2nd round prospect to groom behind Braxton and Kiran because odds are Jones won't take a giant leap forward enough to get 20 mil a year. Kiran may jump Braxton on the depth chart. We just have no idea what they're doing. Grant or Hollis Pierce develops behind the Braxton and Kiran.
  19. I think they have enough rostered players to go to war even without the draft. Add 4 more good players and the win total just keeps going up.
  20. Poles talked about the draft of his first 3 picks being a taylored decision. If they take player A then who could be there at 39 and 41. If they take player B, who would be there at 39 and 41. The strength of the draft is DT, RB, DE and TE. If a blue Chip player drops BPA would apply. Most say 7-8 blue chip plus QBs. I have no idea, but it makes this a great watch. My best choice would be to move back because many say 10-50 are similar graded but who would be there at 10 that someone wants? I have no idea. 39 might be a better place to get extra picks as some players drop out of first round. I would be very happy with the mongo Draft.
  21. That is all fair banter. I will say again, that I am trying to guess what Poles is going to do, if I had my choice, I would take Kenneth Grant and watch him turn into Kareem Hicks. Take an OL and DE in the second round and RB at 72. That is what I want. I don't think Banks is a special LT to take at 10 because some sites rated him high. People I have listened to aren't saying he will be bad but 10 should have a pro bowl future type picked there. Sone think he will be better at OG. A perfect example of my point, last year Poles kept Flus of which I thought would happen. Cudos to you he turned out bad and you struck to that, I thought he should get one more year to prove himself. He failed . Had we fired him last year Ben Johnson wouldn't have became our coach of which I'm hugely on board. Warren wouldn't let us hire Harbaugh last year so who knows who we got. We are where we are. Whether for better or worse I think Poles doesn't add a LT at 10, that's all I'm saying. I have no idea who is good or bad as far as prospects. I hope they get it right
  22. As I said before, your entitled to your opinion. He was their during the Lovie years, I forget, were we a winning team then or our peterual loser team? Obviously you didn't list players they drafted that worked out. There must have been enough to have a winning record.
  23. I have no problem with your opinion why do you with mine? I'm not the only person with the Braxton gets one more year to prove himself as our potential future LT is his back up or takes over the LT job. I try to figure out what Poles is going to do more than just my opinion because that all that matters. He has a LT on the team that ranked 20th of all Ts last year, that is average in my eyes comparing the NFL LTs. He traded up last year to draft a LT to give him competition knowing he wouldn't be available until this year. So I don't think he's throwing away 2 people he drafted because a less than stellar LT group is available this year. I think he let's it play out and drafts a Conerly or Grant and put them in the mix. He ain't paying Braxton 20 mil next year unless he takes a giant leap forward but he already drafted his replacement if he doesn't work out. The draft will easily show who's opinion was correct and I'm okay if I'm wrong, will you be?
  24. Anyone knows that the GM and coaches decides picking of the players and not a head of scouting. He gives the regime reports on players and the team decides. He worked for 40 years in the NFL so apparently teams didn't think he was bad at his job or it would have been short term. I know you don't like him and you're entitled to your opinion, but I disagree. I like when a person giving information based on sources that actually have names and not anonymous. Most of Bear pundits always say they have an inside guy and it's just bullshit. I'll stick with real people. He thought they should have kept Fields for one more year and still drafted Caleb but you don't watch his podcasts so you wouldn't know that. He wanted Caleb to sit for a year while Fields played out his contract a Aaron Rodgers type of scenario.
  25. If they draft Banks he could play OG of course, but the Bears are planning on keeping the IOL together for 3 years by their contracts. I explained about a deal coming for Thuney in a previous post. I think AZ brought this up in an early thread about using a +10 as a back up for 3 years if they take an OL. #10 pick needs to be on the field and productive right out of the gate. That's why I backed off a first round OL pick weeks ago. I contend our weakest spots are #3 DE, we have Booker but he still isn't developed yet behind the starters. DL is a rotation thing anyways and you need 4 , why not a James Pierce Jr that will be there. Also weak applys to the DT spot. Dexter, Jarret and Billings ( contract ends 25) so we need a 4th tackle. That's why I like Kenneth Grant and Alfred Collins types more so than Nolen . Next a third WR or 2nd TE would be logical and an upgrade for duel RB scheme. That could be Jeanty, Warren Golden at 10. There are several good OL that would need a year or two to develop in later rounds that make more sense than at 10. Of course the outlier is we have no idea what the coaches think about existing players on the team that will influence the top 4 picks. Any prediction could be accurate.
