The bears had Jeanty in for a 30 visit so it was obvious they were interested in him. He was rated one of the top 3 players in the draft. That's not inside information. They could like him more than both OTs because they weren't true LTs. This is a moot point because Jeanty was taken and they didn't move up to draft him and they picked Loveland. So no inside information. Show me an example of something she reported before anyone else which would indicate inside information. I can't find anything.

Stromberg was a good prospect when he was drafted. Injuries have slowed his progress but he could be the next OC once Dalman leaves.
-
She doesn't have inside information, just guesses like anyone else. They have rated him higher but doesn't a trade was out there.

At this point, Braxton is an average starting LT in the NFL. They need more out of him. They added competition in case he doesn't. If they seriously thought they had to replace him, it would have done at 10. With a bad LT class they felt no one was still there that was that much better. He's the starter if not available, Kiran A will be the guy. Then the rookie gets his chance.

Every GM checks out all scenarios but Twitter has us moving up to get Jeanty like Poles posted it in the tribune.
-
I agree with all of that. Braxton is the starter unless problem with an injury. Kiran A will be the depth. With Tripoli changing positions, doubt he plays the first part of the year. There's no one behind Wright so maybe Ozzy stays at RT.Only if Braxton is out for any reason, Ozzy gets his shot. Personally I think Kiran has the most upside but Braxton is in a contract year. That seems to motivate players. I doubt Braxton plays well enough to get a 20 million dollars contract.

I think they would have kept him if DA wanted him.

Unless Poles comes out and says they were trying to move up, it's just rumors. One person starts a rumor, then 10 people repeat that rumor, it doesn't make it a fact. Last year in a video, Poles was getting nervous to move up to take Rome, Ian made him wait and we got Rome. That's a fact because we saw a video verifying it. Poles has never stated he try to move up, he said he let the draft come to him.

I think, they wait until they see what they have before they add another RB. The perception of fans and pundits is we need more. They may have already more faith in RJ and Swift and that is why there was no urgency to take a RB in the second round,

I always wanted Warren because of his running the ball was more versatile but Johnson wanted Loveland because of his receiving skills. More like Laporte but probably better. We have so much talent on offense and a offense creator, OMG I can't wait. Remember when Detroit had a losing record and then started winning, they were still scoring a lot of points. Then each year just got better.

First of all, I responded to Adam and he equally goes both sides. ( Observation) To say someone is pessimistic or optimistic doesn't mean 100% it could be 60-40 to one side or the other. If a therapist was looking at our board they could easily say a person leans one way or the other. It's not a defined statement. It can change according to things going on in your life. It's just an observation. Example Jason learns half empty and he makes note of it himself. No one would ever mistake me as a pessimist.

I think when they talked about who to draft Johnson is in on the conversation and it's a consensus pick. If something fails, he Was part of it.

It could come down to they liked Trapilo better. After they commit to trading down, it's the board that determines the next choice.

I think Warren interfered

8 Offensive Starters signed thru 2027 (next 3 years)
Stinger226 replied to adam's topic in Bearstalk
Technically the DE and DT is generally a rotation position. 4 and 4 . Some play more snaps but everyone eats on the line. I think the next 2 years will be down to grabbing that one player that will put us over the top. And depth pieces. -
Nothing referring to this post but there have been studies that show people that see a glass half full or half empty actually points to a mind set on how you view anything.

I do read everything , the fact you posted the scenario says you don't want him here. The draft won't be played out for a couple years, Ben just got here, I don't think after his first draft is to back bite the GM.
-
4 of them were already here and they signed Wheeler and Swift. Clearly Swift was signed to be the lead back.
-
Correct we played well enough to reach 9-10 wins. But the calamity of Flus and lame OCs prevented that. 4-2 and should have been 5-2, boom, the team quit on him
-
Actually KJ was the next rated RB so I wonder if they had the discussion of who Ben wanted. WR or RB?
-
Totally agree with all that. We don't know if they would have taken Banks but he wasn't available. Loveland was there plan. A draft is it's own creation. Nothing ever goes as planned.

Henderson was picked right before pick 39. He was never an option.

We have 4 capable bodies in the RB room. They are going to see what they have before they add someone. .

I don't think he's getting fired just because you want him to.
