If the way the games are laid out and we go 7-1 or 8-2 in the easy part of the schedule, you know we will get some flexed games. Personally I like having Sunday afternoon games, Im a creature of habit.
A lot of people are complaining but, like you, most winnable games are early giving us time to grow and get our act together . I dont like 4 of 6 games on the road at the end of the season but that is out of our control.
We lose to Texans,Rams,SF and go 3-3 in the division. 11-6. Now if CW has a Stroud type year, then we beat the Rams and go 4-2 in the division, 13-4.
I'm an optimist, now is the best time to react crazy.
For someone that made 10 mil while in college, if he has a great start, I can see him in his third season wanting the money . So much for a 5 year rookie contract.
Titans would be fine but prefer on the road because lots of Bears fans are crazy. I had season tickets for 2 yrs and if thinks look bad starting out, hell will erupt at the stadium.
There was a lot of Justin Fields activity on X yesterday. I thought it would be negative because of the Foles comments but surprisenly it was Pittsburgh fans posting highlights of JF doing the love. I know this is crazy but sometimes I am. Wouldnt it be ironic if Pitt and the Bears met in the SB and it was JF against CW. I wonder what odds would be on that bet?
I think playing Washington on the road would be a good option. Not very good, getting away would get away from the fanfare of the first game. Its going to be crszy with expectations. Our defense is nearly complete and should start strong, it will take some time for the offense to get up to speed, Of the teams mentioned, Washington was the worst rushing defense (5th ) and we will come out running.
Gerald Goff just got a 212 mil contract extension. 170 mil guaranteed, 73 mil signing bonus. Now he has played well the last two years and is the second highest paid QB but I would rank him 10-12 as far as best QBs.
QB salaries are crazy.
Being his rookie year I dont find it to be anything defining, he was not looked on to be the starter. He clearly proved he has a great work ethic, that could have been very early in that year.
So you think the Vikings should be the first team? I prefer non division teams for less importance if we might lose. As well as we look like a much better team it may take a few games to get up to speed.
I guess its who you think the NFL wants as the first game. We will be better latter in the year so I would rather we play our division games later.
I think if they have the top two QBs drafted play on Monday night. They could sell the new QBs to the nation.
To be honest this is 15 throws at a two hour practice. Its like watching a players highlight film, its just a small sample size. If you knew nothing about Caleb, a person would say this was nice but its just nothing special in the oversll perspective of s player.
It may start with a lot of success but then teams will adapt to it. I think it could help our team because of the speed options. I think the rules changes affecting defenses so offensivbe teams run wild is the joke, they take good football players out of the game because they are agressive. Dont like that.
I've seen high school QBs do that before. I'm not sure that drill is special. Its like having a pitcher warm up and throw 75mph balls over the plate. Its just a drill
Good teams always seem to have a good punter , most the time a kicker that can make pressure FGs. Since the rules have changed, special teams will require better players to play because of potential big plays. I think Poles and Flus are paying attention to that. V Jones will excel at that or be gone, not any help as a WR. Dante Pettis is back and a unspetacular but reliable punt returner that adds speed to the WR room. 4.32 He had 9 punt return TDs in his college career. Maybe we can revive his career.
