  1. Getsy always scripted the first 12 plays and did well but him adapting in game was terrible. To his credit, he's never called plays before so he's learning too. I also like he has experience with success. Getsy would never take blame for anything, and I'm sure that caused a disconnect with Justin.
  2. With the increase in cap space that will happen right after the combine which is next week.
  3. The NFL just set the cap total today and we now have over 80 mil in cap space. That puts us 3 rd as team total.
  4. If we stated as (where Fields will be playing this year. ) I just seen a Yahoo story where the odds has changed on draftkings, . I have an account but they won't let me access it from overseas. The most updated version has us at +200 and Pittsburgh with -125 . I googled it and several different betting sites have different odds. Some lines are where he will be traded and some bets are where he will be playing in 2024.
  5. Has there been any new people registered? On X, I've been telling people about this site.
  6. I agree there are a few players with inappropriate rankings, Milton will probably be a late second or third round pick. He's a prospect
  7. Why not her but women coaching in the league is still kind of an experimental stage. Remains to be seen as how successful she may be. If she's an alpha she will eventually gain the respect of the players but that's not going to happen walking in. Lots of huge egos in the NFL and some will just be turned off by it. How many players have had domestic abuse cases over the years. Clearly don't respect women the same let alone in a boss situation. Team leaders will ( Fields R Johnson) but hard to sell th people like an Edmunds, or Brisker that play with violence.
  8. Definitely not bringing in a OG or OT in free agency so we have to draft them and still will draft a OC. We gave up the worst pressure in the league at the center position, absolutely the most important add on the OL.
  9. If we stand pat with picks 1 + 9, I don't see how we get our our needs filled. Our picks are 1 + 9 +75 + 110 + 122 + 142. Last year we got starters in rounds one and two. Wright, Dexter, Stevenson. The rest were quality back ups Pickens, R Johnson, T Scott, Sewell, T Smith. Bell got rifled off the PS, and Williamson is on the practice squad. There could be future starters in their but at least another year away. So at best he may add 3 starters, may get lucky with a later pick but won't be in 2024. Even if we trade Fields, that's a second at best, with one more starter. With all the negativity thrown on Justin , no way anyone will give a one for Justin. If we take QB with 1 or 9, he won't be looked on to start right away. Stroud excelling last year is an outlier, not the norm. So he sits. One will be a WR , a center, DL, OL or S. I think we get a OC and S in free agency but still will draft those positions. We just don't have enough picks in the draft which is why I think he trades back.

  11. Don't you think that has to do lower body strength and he's working on that? He improved from year one to two in that area. On the outside you're moving back as you engage where on the inside you're in a box when you make contact. He has long arms which would be more useful inside.
  12. The draft chart value would be 300 difference which would be pick 60 or combo of lower picks. If there is competition for a QB still there, 2 nd rounder, 6 th round pick and and a future 3 thrown in.
  13. If we take a OT, Braxton can compete at OG. It builds depth at the least. Bring 3 OL in and let them fight it out for starting jobs. We need at least 8.
  14. We need to build depth also, bring in a vet and draft one to develop. Doubt we get the opportunity to draft JPJ, but a few intriguing prospects. I also wouldn't mine bringing in a OG that could also play center. The better we can build depth the stronger the OL is. Example: Graham Barton/ Duke is a high level prospect that can do both. Mid second round projection.
  15. I went to look at the odds ( draftkings) on who ends up with Justin . I was surprised to see it was the Bears. +100 Atlanta was at +140 in second. Personally I think Poles keeps Fields and takes the draft haul. ( not trying to argue that point) but I thought odds would be great going somewhere else , it's not. I'll keep track of the odds, I was going to put my money where my mouth is and bet 100 on him staying.
  16. He's going to get paid, as well as Andre James from the Raiders. Connor Williams would probably be the top center but his injury won't allow him to play until midseason. The two O!in mentioned could probably be brought in on reasonable deals.
  17. I just watched a video on Jaylen Wright, he has some game. Kiper picked him a sleeper pick. Barton can play both OC and OG and is a high end prospect. The only thing missing is drafting a Swing OT.
  18. Here's another video showing stats on how bad our line was.
  19. I'm an optimist and viewed the OL as getting better. With the injuries involved, it was terrible . Swiftly gives the stats for the line in his video. We were tied for 5 th (50) in the league in giving up sacks. Had we not had a mobile QB, that total could have been much worse. We were 26 th in the league in PBC, ( pass blocking efficiency). We had the worst PAK in the league, 60.4% of the time Fields was under pressure on passing plays. We had a mobile QB , I can't imagine what that would have been with a typical pocket passer. We were 6th in the league in false starts 24. We were tied for 4th in holding penalties. 19. All those stats show how bad we were in the passing game last year. Braxton Jones missed 6 games with injury. Jenkins missed 5 games with injury. Our center position was worst in the league with Whitehair, Feeney, and Patrick. Nate Davis missed 6 games . Darnell Wright played the whole season and had a typical rookie year. I think Poles will attack fixing the OL this off-season. We will bring in a center in FAgency and draft one. I think he drafts a Guard high to compete with our starters. I think he drafts an OT to compete and be the swing OT. We need to upgrade our depth as well as starters.
  20. Olin Kreutz was on the SCORE today and they asked him who he would bring in at OC. He mentioned Brain Allen ( Rams cut) who if injuries were behind him would be worth looking at. Also Aaron Brewer from Titans.
  21. The best players at the top of the draft are (minus QB) a few OTs , WRs and one TE. There are a couple of edge players that have to be taken there because they say it's a down year for DL. I think we draft 2 of the top 15 and don't vary. JPJ is a stud but don't think anyone is drafting him in the top 15. Centers rarely go early.
  22. I doubt you ever see a woman in a higher position of power that as assistant to positions. Like you said, how will a player respect a woman telling you to run through a wall .
  23. Actually Houston as the season went on proved to have better talent than originally was projected. Their WRs showed to have a lot of talent even thou very young., have two first round OTs, a lot of quality young talent . We definitely show more talent going into next year than Houston did last year. The Stroud situation is extremely rare, Andrew Luck had a bad first year. Most QBs that don't start that first year seem to end up better overall.
  24. Who do you want as a realistic addition to the WR room? I would eliminate any expensive signings thinking Poles is going go with value players after tagging JJ in free agency. I think Mike Evans , Michael Pittman, Calvin Rigley , Tee Higgins are going to be to expensive. I think Curtis Samuel would be a perfect addition. Best friends with DJ Moore, played at Ohio State ( alumni of JF) and adds speed (4.32) to the room. Should cost 10 to 12 mil . Has some rushing abilities.
  25. Fields isn't a frail guy either and he's missed games every year. The whole point of the thread is IMO they will bring in a vet if Williams is the QB. Bagent would be a wonderful story but Poles has to win this year and I'm not sure he will trust Bagent as the backup. Just throwing out topics for discussion.
