  1. There is a ton of good WRs this year, Colemen, Nabors, Odunze, Edgbuka, Franklin. Two I like are Xavier Legette and Malachi Corley. Legette is a beast and Corley is a Deebo Samuel clone.
  2. I like everybody on here but have issues with one. Everybody sees that , I dont really care what he thinks. I dont want to piss everyone else off so after fantasy season , if you guys want me to leave , I'm okay with that. Im not asking anyone to pick a side but if it bothers everybody, I'm not sure there is another way. I have tried to be civil in this matter but if someone thinks every comment is secreting referring to him, i can't do anything about that. . Just let me know. If you want this conflict to end, i will hold no animosity towards anyone. Someone needs to step up. So far Mongo and Killz have voiced their opinions, I get it, its not personal in any way to not like two adults acting like middle schoolers.
  3. I make comments on here and have opinions, making a comment of my definition of what I think a true fan might be, is not an attempt to ripe someone's jugular out. You can disagree , I dont have a problem with that. I think we are all adults on here. Good organizations learn how to win . I'm tired of all the losing . If we go 9-8 this season ,Im not going to boo that , that means we are getting better, isn't that the whole point.
  4. Call me selfish but its easy for me to drive from the Rockford area to Arlington Heights than downtown. It has a great skyline view but the rest of the experience isnt pleasant. You cant change Chicago traffic but they will set up the stadium to make it user friendly. New stadium will be cool but the community around it will be an awesome experience.
  5. They bought the race track and that's where it will be going, all of this side chatter is just posturing to get the country to relinquish its unfair tax increase. The race track was valued at 33 mil and after the Bears bought it , they increased it valuation to 197 mil. It is now just raw land , the bears ask them to keep the base as it was and then revalue it at what ever its value is once the stadium is built. I dont think that is a unfair request.
  6. I think Poles either gets rid of everyone or keep everyone but any of these choices are premature. If we win 3- or more games, probably keep everyone, if we only win one or two, everybody probably goes.
  7. If you're done throwing a fit, Im going to have Adam proof read my comments before I post them, are you Okay with that? I dont know what else to do . I suggest yoga it can allow you have more self control , it has worked wonders for me, all this name calling by you and I have never threatened you or called you names. Opps, I did call you an asshole once. I do apologize for that .
  8. Your problem is (in technical terms) a persecution complex. I made a general statement about my opinion about fandom, but of course I am not allowed to have an opinion because it might hurt your feelings. I thought we were not going to respond to each others comments to avoid this chatter. I responded to a comment that Mongo made. You just cant get away from conflict. From now on I am going to ask Adam to proof read my answers so it doesnt hurt you feeling before I post them. Hopefully that way you can stop your name calling bullshit once and for all.
  9. I never referred to you, you have told everyone how much you love the bears, I was referring to people that root for us to lose, oh wait a minute, never mind.
  10. He was just taking a shot at me , his answer has nothing to do with the statement I made. Not sure how hoping you team wins makes me ignorant but hey, he was the only person on this site that was sad we beat the Vikings. BEARS WIN. WE ALL LOSE When he says he didnt say that its week 12 thread, page 4, last statement.
  11. We should always try to win, if we win8-9 games that helps the culture to change to a winning culture. Any fan that roots for us to lose, isnt a true fan.
  12. As we view the top pick, if the Bears win 3 or 4 games we could drop out of the top 10.
  13. At 71 the ingame experience isnt as appealing . I had season tickets for 2 years, many years ago during Payton's career and loved the ingame. I would go to 6 games a year but tried to avoid the cold ones.
  14. I think if Poles gets rid of Flus the new coach will influence who they want as QB. Odds are a drafted QB but if someone like Harbaugh gets the job , he made Kappernick a star , dont sit on him not wanting Fields to stay here. The game he played against Justin they lost 56-27. He wont forget that. He may want to hedge that bet with also drafting McCarthy to.
  15. Cardinals are struck with Murray, they dont get cap relief from his contract until 2027. There are lots of good WRs in this draft , they may also trade back because of needs. They could trade back get a OT and a WR in the second. The top 2 picks will be QBs and doubt we will keep the top spot and draft MHJ. Giants have Jones for at least one year if not 2. The big money controls these situations.
  16. Its fantasy but Crosby and Sweat? that could be very interesting.
  17. Seen a proposed trade of the #1 pick to LV for ( currently) 11, #42, #1 next year and Max Crosby. Would you do that trade knowing our pick wont be top 8?
  18. The city owns that property and the Bears are only going where they can have ownership of everything.
  19. I think some of the better organizations didnt keep flip flopping every 2 or 3 years looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. NE and Pitt comes to mine . they put the time in to build a roster and develop players .We have never did a complete rebuild since I have been a fan. Poles states he wants to build thru the draft, its not even been 2 years and some people want to burn everything down. I think 3-4 years is fair to see what his vision is. If he brings everyone back I would understand why he does that. The next 5 games will shine more light into his decision. No matter what you think of Fields , if Poles thinks there is an elite QB in this draft he will take him. If he doesnt then Justin will be around for another year. He can still build the roster and evaluate the coaching staff, Not sure his vision was fire the coach in 2 years. Poles, Flus, Getsy are all new in their jobs, it seems like they always just get compare to the dream scenario and not typical growth it takes to establish anything. Him and Cunningham came from good organizations, they will pull insight from how those teams were built.
  20. I think we are talking about elite QBs, the list you showed may have 10 in that group. Others are good but more 2nd tier. At least 6 were not earlier first round picks. The truth is it's hard to find an elite QB, better odds if you go early. We still have go back to who is the elite QB? Do we have the coaching and built roster to accommodate a high level prospect. Chances are we have 2 first round picks next year, also 2 2nd round picks. If Poles wants another year of continuity, we can still have a high first round even in if we have to trade. Nothing is set in stone.
  21. When we talk about drafting a QB high in the first round, isnt that where we drafted Fields? Doesnt the argument favor taking another year to see his development since that is where elite QBs come from? Or on the other hand does that prove drafting a QB high in the first round that they can bust in the same argument? I'm fine leaving that up to Poles to figure it out and what ever he decides I wont complain because it isnt what i wanted him to do.
  22. Lots of factors go into teams that win SBs. 2023 SB, great QB, great coach, above average talent. 2022 SB, good QB, great coach, above average talent. Anyone can say they won the SB because of a great QB but they also had great coaches and above average talent. Herbert is considered an elite QB , has he even been to the playoffs? Josh Allen is considered an elite and hasnt been in a SB yet. We dont have a great coach and a roster being built. If you know an elite QB is in the draft then it would be dumb not to take him but who is he? Williams, Maye ? Zach Wilson and Trey Lance were top 5 picks, they arent even starting QBs in the league. #1 we have to get the one of the top 2 picks to even consider that. #2 one of these QBs need to an elite, that's up to Poles to decide that #3 we do not have an elite coach #4 need a above average roster, we are not there yet. I think Poles will make the right decisions, its just sports talk until the end of the season to have any realistic opinion on our future. 5 games away. If we lose 5 games, its set in stone what to do, but what if we win out, the conversation changes.
  23. From year to year, different QBs have good and bad years. Goff, Cousins, Stafford, Prescott, Murray, are 2 nd tier QBs that have had good years. 1 st tier for now are Mahomes Allen, Herbert, Jackson are e!ite now. Hurts, Lawrence, Tua are trending that way but not there yet. Who did I miss?
  24. Winning is the ultimate measure of success and many things figure in to that scenario. Good coaching, team talent, and a good QB come into to play. The top 8 teams in the league right now starting QBs. Phil- pick 53 Balt-pick 32 Dallas- pick 135 Detriot-pick 1 Miami- pick 5 SF-pick 232 Jaguars-pick 1 KC-pick 10 Of these QBs only 2 were #1, 3 more were first round, 6 were 32 or later. Goff is not considered elite, Lawrence has yet to be given that status. You can find stats to make any point you want. More QBs are picked high because of the nature of the position , other rounds are never taken with the concept of being elite. If we go by the success rate of first round QBs then we probably should keep Fields, he was pick # 11. We should also pick a QB with one of our first round picks. Why not do both?
