DK is just rumors created by agents. There are several WRs that could be there in 5th. Bo Melton, Danny Grey, Tanner Connor for sure.

Here's a draft I did with PFN draft simulator not making any trades. 39. Perrion Winfrey. DT 48. Alex Pierce WR 71. Jalen Tolbert. WR 148. Jamaree Salyer. OG 150. Bryan Cook SS 186. Josh Jobe. CB. The only thing unrealistic about this draft is Jobs will never last until pick 186. I couldn't grab Nick Cross who has great speed so took top rated S at the time.
-
That is a realistic draft and great draft if it would happen. I totally expect them to draft 2 WRs and 2 OL, a OT and OG prospect. I do think they grab a S in the draft . I also think he trades back with one or two of the first 3 picks for more picks. If I remember correctly didn't NE always trade back and get multiple middle round picks? They seemed to be successful.

Or who on our team that didn't play well in last scheme, can play better in this scheme? The SAM LB is only on the field in Flus cover two for 20% of time. Can Jackson look like old AJAC with change ? Does Vidor and Graham play better in zone than man to man? We obtained our NB in SS Cluirshank? Who shut down TEs in nickel at Tennessee. Flus wants 7 to the ball every play. Who fits better than two LBs with 4.51 and 4.52 speed. No matter how you say it Quinn plays his best as a DE in his career. Gibson was DE in college, so better fit for him. Roquin is a stud can play in any scheme. I think possible that one of top picks will be a speedy safety. Nick Cross has 4.34 speed. Imagine this defense with great speed, will be fun to watch.

That's one question we don't know, Poles evaluation of current players. Good article, Vidor may have better traits for the cover 2. Plus Graham may be ideal for it. I think we have our NC in Criukshank , he showed excellent play against TEs and running backs. What about Charles Snowden, Ledarius Mack , can they play SAM ? Flus stated the SAM only plays 20% of the time. I think Edwards is a good fit as rotational 3T. Jones may or may not be a starter type but they gave him a two year contract, maybe?

Patrick wasn't his first choice at OC but being in the scheme for the last few yrs, he can help Fields get set up right and has an attitude, like Jenkins, to bring a different culture to the oline. I suspect he wanted Bates for his attitude plus his upside at RG. We are out of the running to draft Zion Johnson or Greene but Tyler Smith is in reach of our pick. Those all carry the physically and nasty attitude that Poles want. If I remember, didn't they say Whitehair had a nastiness to him when he came out? If we could have 5 starters that just beat people up every snap, wouldn't that be refreshing compared to the lack of accountability Nagy carried in the locker room.

Been listening to a lot of podcasts lately and think Poles will invest in offense with most his picks in the draft. The first three will be offensive. WRs, OL, or maybe a TE. Poles is taking all the money they spent on D and trying to balance the spending for both sides of the team. Unless you spend money, you're not getting high end playmakers or OL . So he's plugging holes with cheap options.

Another podcast I heard explained the Jenkins situation. His last year in college, he was the LT, but the other OT got hurt and the replacement player was more comfortable on the Left side, so he moved to right. The best rookie LT last year was Matt Slater from SD. He only had 3 more games playing LT than Jenkins did. So that talk that Jenkins didn't play on the left side is bullshit. He's a good player or he's not.
-
Heard Olin talk on a podcast this morning , he said he has gotten the impression from the front office that they like Borom on the Left side and Jenkins on the right. So I think they draft a OT that can play either side and concentrate on the RG spot early in the draft.
-
Jones is like Blackson was last year, can make some plays but doesn't standout. Dependable rotational vet. I definitely think we draft one because of importance of the position in Flus defense. I think Karmara and Edwards sees some time at the 3T. If we can get Logan Hall at 71. He can play both DT and DE. Really to get a impact player at 3T , we will have to use pick 39. I would love to see Poles's draft board. After hearing Poles talk at the winter meetings suggests Ogunjobi could still be coming. He hasn't signed anywhere else yet. I also seen where Ledarius Mack was practicing pass coverages. There going to try him out at SAM LB spot. He's got 4.66 speed and fact he's still on the roster says something. At Buffalo he played some off LB. At the least we have a cheap depth player.

Good article. We see these names we never heard of and after you dig a little deeper, they could be very good players. Watch all 22 film study on Pringle, he was second in the league in separation last year, is highly rated on all advanced metrics. Could easily give us Mooney type numbers he had this year. Very under rated player. Also watch film on St Brown, more than just a roster player. We draft one big WR (Watson, Pickens, Pierce) and a speed playmaker ( Skyy Moore, Clyde Austin, Khalil Shakir) , then our WR room will be crazy talented.

Just watched a video on Criukshank on YouTube video No Flags Flim.He does a video on Dane breaking down the film. I'm on my tablet so not sure how in give a link but good stuff. He will be our NB or hybrid LB, taking out TEs.
-
I don't think Ajax was called out for his down turn in his play. Poles and Eflus won't care what he's paid, they will sit him.
-
Yes, younger, ascending players. Wait and see, I think he ends up getting Ogunjobi here on a one year 6 mil deal giving him time for his foot to heal. He is a potential core player.
-
I think GMs lose their patience when they lose a guy and over pay for a lesser player, Pace did that all the time with overpaying Foles, Glennon, and Dalton. Poles seems to be on track to being smarter.
-
We signed a SS today, Dane Cruikshank/ 6'1", 212 with 4.41 speed. The main use for Titans that Dane did was play NLB and covered TEs. He shut down Kittle, Kelce and Gescki last year. We found our N guy. Before today, never heard of the guy. A leader on STs.

The more I read and the more I watch tape, I don't think Watson makes it to39. In watching lots of tape on WRs in the draft. Sky Moore and George Pickens have become my favorites. They could be there at 39 and 48.
-
I love and hate doing mocks because when you get a good one , you think that could happen. There's to many varied opinions, hard to say how the teams align their boards. I just hope we get extra picks and draft 2WRs and a couple OL and ill be happy.

What I like about Poles is stays on the plan even with detours. I sense he got experience with this method at KC. When you shoot for 2nd and 3rd wave players, you lose more than you win. Allen and Ogunjobi were his prime targets, but when they were lost he didn't jump to overpaying for the backup plan. I think Patrick , Pringle, and Jones are people that out play their contracts. Al-Q and Morrow are potential core players. I think he has contract offers out there for a LT and another OL, and waiting on them for their price to come down. I don't think there are any problems adding CBs and SSs at his price. Lots of decent talent out there. Another WR and LB will be areas he will have to play a little more for.

I swear I seen a post that Solder resigned with the Giants.

Poles original plan was a good one. Go after Brian Allen: was offered more money , choose to stay with SB champs Sign Ogunjobi for critical 3T ....injury problem Sign RFA Ryan Bates....Bills meet offer. He had a backup plan... Jones. and Patrick, still don't know who replaces Bates. I think with things not working out , he still upgraded. I suspect a Trai Turner or Laurent Duvernay-Tardif could be next in line. I still think he has an offer for a LT. , Fisher and Brown has not signed yet. If we have nothing else happens, Jenkins- Whitehair-Patrick- Dosier-Borom. He would have to target a draftee and hope he can start at RG or possible OC. Last year when KC did a makeover of their OL , A 2nd and 6th round picks started for them. So we could still have a upgrade coming. Mustifer was asked to put on 30 lbs and played poorly last year. The yr before he played well for 5 games and there was hope. Maybe Mustifer gets his act together and beats out Patrick at OC and Patrick plays RG. Then a drafted comes in to compete at either LT or RT. Other names will be cut after the draft we could bring in. I remember Ruben Brown was a late signee. There is hope for an upgrade for OL.
-
Sure neither one get paid alot.
-
Bates has little tape( 400 snaps) but 1 penalty, no sacks. Daniels was above average but not a nasty attitude that Poles likes. We will see who ends up the better player. People said we went after Brian Allen with more money offered. I wonder if he still would have tried to get Patrick to play RG, or he was the backup plan?
-
I think it's pretty clear Poles isnt going to give any big contracts out for anybody other than a LT, If he signs a Eric Fisher or Duane Brown, I suspect that won't be cheap but at a good value. Players holding out for more money have to be nervous, I suspect we get some more players this week. Lots of good players still available.
-
You get an impression of Poles plan, but still are not sure of his evaluation of the current roster. Daniels is a good player but not great. He prefers a more physical player so he moves on. Does he think Jenkins and Borom are for real, seems that way by not getting a OT yet. Last year he drafted 2 starters to KCs oline. A second and 6 th rounder. I'm curious on what his evaluation of Thomas Graham is.
