As much as I dont think we have looked good, I still think we are winning the game. To much Homer in me?

I have to give everyone credit, lots of mistakes but forget them for the next play and Caleb let that mistake turn into motivation.

As much as we have to win this game with offense, that 4th down stop by the D was huge.

I think if we draft 7' WRs, it will help our passing game.

Draft Prospects
The team is going to be built from now on on the draft. No more big trades, the Cap is full and you're right, to have a long time contender, it has to be the draft.

Draft Prospects
Crosby has said many times he doesn't want to leave Raiders. I don't see any high paid players added.. They will count on draft and healthy players to improve our team. For better or worse we are riding our roster construction thru next year. Now if we are in true SB hunt, maybe at the trade deadline next year for a one player difference maker.

I agree, its all about offense. Tomlin is a good coach so this wont be easy but as much as our defense has been bad, Steelers aren't bringing a juggernaut to the game either. This is a winnable game and our positive progression of finding ways to win will be tested but being home will give us the edge.

We are a 7-3 team, call us a good bad team or a bad good team, it doesnt matter. The defense has not been good and the injuries have a lot to do with it. We are going to win because of offense and maybe a few TOs come in to play. People talk about the Steelers great pass rush but they have still given up a lot of points. The key to the game will be run baby run. A more consistent game by Caleb will go along way for us to win this game. This is going to be an end of the game win type of game. I will choose Caleb over whoever plays QB for them in the game. We have home field advantage that should contribute to less mistakes. Even if Rodgers starts the game, he will not finish it. One big hit and he's gone.

We have to rev up our offense and run the hell out of the ball to control the clock because our defense will be hurting with 3rd string LBers in there. its not going to be pretty but we still can win the game. I say 30 to 23 and of course we win.

I see both Edmunds and Sewell are both DNP designated. If they dont play, third stringers up next? Take Pitt RBs this week in fantasy football.

I think JJ is pressing this to come back. Reasonable people will probably say wait another week, but he is so focused on what he wants, he may push his way back on the field sooner. His grit and dedication made him an ALL PRO, give him what he wants.

He must be giving you a hard time for any support you may have given me. It's okay , you can never have a discussion with that type of person. I'm not seeing anything he says anyways, so it just doesnt matter. . Let him say what ever he wants. (Narcissistic behavior is characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, a lack of empathy, and a disregard for others' feelings. Individuals may be arrogant, exploitative, and believe they are unique and deserve special treatment, while being highly sensitive to criticism and easily feeling entitled. )

I dont see PHX posts anymore but by your post he is still whipping on me. He always took a comment I would make and twist it to be able to jump on me. He praised , look at tape as the guiding light ,and I just bring up Caleb's lack of accuracy and now I am labeled a Caleb hater Im sure. Read my posts and dont let his opinion create a Caleb narrative that doesnt exist. Thanks for reminding PHX that attacking someone for a different opinion does not deserve name calling but of course he cant change who he is. As I said before I dont get to see his posts so he gets to expose himself without my normal stimulation.

Draft Prospects
I also dont see Kmet going anywhere. This is BJs first year of building an offensive power and getting rid of offensive assets doesnt make sense to me. They will concentrate on the draft to fix our weaknesses. As much as Theo needs to grow quite a bit, I see him as the LT starter next yr. We still have Trapillo and Kiran for prospects to potential get better to ascend to give him competition. Like you said, by getting rid of an asset , you create another spot you need to replace in the draft. Burden will find more time once Zaccheaus is gone. I do see then asking DJ to redo his contract to create more money. Swift is one player, they could get some Cap relief with if traded or cut but there again they could ask him to redo his contract. We would save 7.5 mil if we let him go but then again we would have to replace him. They could decide to go with Monangai as the lead back and add a Swift type RB in the mid rounds to take his place. As much as people talked about getting a big trade in this season, example Hendrickson, they said to find money, they would restructure contracts to fit in our Cap. I think to find more money, they will go to players like Kmet and Edmunds and redo contracts to add more Cap space. They are the only two players that dont have a lot of money that would not create dead money on the books. This team is changing over from a good defensive team to an offensive power house and they are not to add big contracts to the defense as far as free agents. For better or for worst, we are stuck one more year with Jarrett, Dayo, Sweat. They will site injuries that hurt our defense. JJ, Dayo, Shemar Turner, Kyle Gordon, Terrell Smith, and expect them to be better. Also growth in young players example Booker for the defense to get better. I havent looked at draft stuff yet but this is a mock draft that I think will be similar to what we do with several trade backs to get more picks. 45. A.J. Haulcy S LSU 56. Anthony Smith EDGE Minnesota 66. A'Mauri Washington DT Oregon 91. Jadarian Price RB Notre Dame 123. Jalon Kilgore S South Carolina 129. Austin Barber OT Florida 167. Zion Young EDGE Missouri 181. Arion Carter LB Tennessee 241. Ricardo Hallman CB Wisconsin 245. Ernest Hausmann LB Michigan They will draft a pass rusher, S, and fill our needs on defense with people like G-Johnson and expect players to improve. Brisker and Byard have finished their contracts so I think G-Johnson and resign Byard to be our safeties next yr. Brisker will be offered a team friendly deal, but his concussion history will be considered. The FA part of our off season will not have any big signings. Draft is the key to our team improving.

I see what everyone else sees and I am not the glass half empty guy on here. He has some great traits but I am disappointed he is not getting the simple passes down yet. Below 60% is not a good look to me. I have never said we should bail on him, or am I a Caleb hater. I asked a question about if he still hasnt progressed a yr from now, what does that do for BJ's confidence in him ? I guess now its okay to be the blind homey. I have been many times accused of being a clueless homer and wearing binders when I look at players on the team. I am not going to pretend he's great until he actual shows more consistency.

Everything that wasnt working seems to be working now. It was a Cloudflare problem which a lot of the internet sites must use. These routes would seem to be open every time to me. We have had more TE involvement over the last few games. Need to do more.

Week 11 Official Game Thread - CHI @ MIN, Nov 16th, 12PM CST, FOX, CHI +2.5
Im all in on Caleb as being hopeful for the progression of all players on the team. The question I am asking is ; if Caleb is throwing below 60% next year at this time, and making the same mistakes, (holding the ball to long) overthrowing WRs) at what point will BJ consider another QB? This is Caleb's first year with BJ and this offense, Im not expecting a top 5 QB this year but if we dont see progress? Example is Tevor Lawrence, a fist player taken and he definitely did not deserve a 275 mil extension? Of course one year from now that will depend on if we are winning . If we are still winning besides Caleb's mediocre play, he will stick with him but for how long? My history was I was all in on Justin and hoped he would get better, he didnt and should have accepted that sooner, and now that a ask the same question about Caleb, that's the wrong comment to make? It will be his 3rd year. I have seen many pundits question Caleb's body language at the end of the game when he seemed upset that BJ did not rely on him to win the game for us when he ran the ball 3 times and kicked the FG? If that is true, will that be a problem going forward?

The Ben Johnson Effect
I agree with most of your points. I think with going for it on 4th down, you should never do it beyond the 50 yard line unless your behind and time is running out. Its situational and depending on who your playing when in the red zone. We are starting to identify as a power running team as our OL plays better so once we can get a signature short yardage play, I would understand it more but we havent established one yet. I think losing LaPorta will have a large effect on their offense and the center position has already shown problems. Playing the Eagles is an outlier. Decker and Sewell both had some injuries' issures going into that game .
